Omg you guys have a TH-cam channel that's awesome !!hi Darwin !!! Omg, my husband and I went there for our anniversary last year and loved it so much. Amazing gem 💎
We live in the northwest part of the island, far away from the very crowded part of Jan Thiel and surroundings with all the traffic jams all day long at Caracas bay road. Here at the hilly side of the island you can really enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of envolding nature. But still you have all the nightlife of Willemstad and Jan Thiel within a 30 minutes car ride. Our first neighbors live 300 meters down the road and we are looking over a huge valley only covered in lush green. We have an apartment for family/friends/holidaymakers at Bisento Hill and each one of them are amazed by the stunning views and tranquility of our site. You won't get that at the southeast and very busy part of the island. Guests do go to Seaquarium, Mambo Beach and all the other tourist traps but are always glad to come back to their apartment in serenity.
@@gwendolynsullivan4338 Fort Nassau! It was one of our favorite places to dine. Wonderful view, great service, good food/cocktails and very romantic vibe. We recommend making a reservation and putting a note that it’s your anniversary and would like a nice view 😊 You can catch a sunset view or enjoy the night lights. Very romantic atmosphere 👌🏾
Hi! No not generally. You’ll likely experience more traffic driving in to Jan Thiel. That’s where most of the traffic can be especially during after work hours.
We felt very safe 💯 Of course use the same situational awareness and caution you would anywhere else but we had no reason to feel unsafe even late at night. We didn’t use a tourism agent
I Give Thanks to Jesus to see you walk without the cane Darwin, im about to bing watch all of your videos!!!! Continue to be blessed Fanta and Darwin!!!🙏🏿♥️♥️
Curacao has great hotel and bnb options so it comes down to how you like to vacation. We tend to spend a lot of time roaming around town so airbnbs work well for us. You will likely save money with a bnb but hotels offer nice amenities that not all bnbs have like access to private beaches, room service, cleaning, etc. Ultimately it comes down to what’s most important for you when vacationing but either choice is a good one
Thank you for the video! It was very informative. I plan on going to Curacao July of 2025 for my birthday. What document did you say that we needed to get before you travel there? Also I plan on staying at the Avila Beach Hotel. I read a lot of really good reviews. Do you know anything about it?
Hey! You’ll have to complete the Digital Immigration Card within 7 days prior to your departure to Curacao. You can visit Curaçao’s official website to fill it out Don’t know too much about Avila but it IS one of the nicer, more acclaimed hotels. It’s also close to Willemstad which is nice. They also offer day passes which includes access to their private beach and other services so if you want to experience Avila that’s also an option. Hope this helps!
Prices can vary quite a bit depending on the location, time of year, and the type of experience you’re looking for. Food Prices: • Casual Dining: In most cities, you can expect to pay around $10-$20 per person at a casual restaurant. • Mid-range Restaurants: Meals typically range from $20-$50 per person, depending on the cuisine and location. • Fine Dining: High-end restaurants can charge $50-$100+ per person, especially in major cities or popular tourist destinations. Hotel Prices • Budget Hotels/Motels: Prices generally range from $50-$100 per night. These are often basic accommodations without many amenities. • Mid-range Hotels: Expect to pay between $100-$250 per night. These hotels typically offer more amenities like pools, gyms, and room service. There are a few that offer private beach access. • Luxury Hotels: Prices can start at $250 per night and go up to $1000+ for top-tier experiences. These all likely have beach access • Vacation Rentals/Airbnb: Prices generally range from $100-$300 per night. But in the end it all comes down to your budget and the experience you’re willing to pay for. You can live large, live small, or do both 😊
You guys are awesome!! I plan on arriving solo around the middle of November 2024. Where would you recommend I stay for a single black male looking to meet single ladies. thanks !!
Hey, Maybe bed&bike hostel. It’s in Willemstad, near all the bars and restaurants, likely to have other solo travelers. Your best bet will be staying in the Willemstad/Pietermaai area
Good morning! ☀️ Most beaches charge $3-$12 entry fees. Private beaches at resorts may charge more for example LionsDive will be around $17. Other beach fees (USD): Mambo beach $3 Blauwbaai $3 Grote Knip $7 Playa Forti free Cas Abao $6 Porto Mari $6 Jan Thiel $5 Blue Bay $7.50 There are many many more beaches to choose from (for a fee and free). Some beaches charge extra for beach chairs/loungers. We haven’t seen those cost more than $5. Hope this helps!

Hi, how much did you all pay to stay at Airbnb, for 4 adults, for 4nights and 5 days. What is the name of the Airbnb? Want to travel in November this year
Can you suggest a luxury beachfront resort with a nice pool and nice beach access for an our wedding Anniversary trip? Preferably newer and one besides Sandals. Thank you
Mangrove was actually one of our top choices! It’s conveniently close to Willemstad which is nice and also has a private beach which is a win. Curacao beaches can get crowded so if you’re going to Curacao for the beach it’s a good choice. But we did hear the food on site isn’t anything to fiend over but if you plan to eat off resort you should be fine. Hope this helps!
@@tiffanimee8106 we just got back from Curacao and a week stay at Mangrove! Great location, easy to get anywhere from the resort. The property was nice and well maintained and free parking garage (we rented a car) was a real plus. I will say the food was not great in our opinion, we ate most meals offsite after the first day. The was a lot of fried foods and most food was over cooked and pretty bland unfortunately. Would definitely stay here again just would know that we won’t be getting our moneys worth by eating onsite.
@@angelamaxey181 thank you so much for your reply, we are going there next month and I hope it lives up to its reputation! I guess we will have to eat off resort, it'll be fun to try the local foods anyway!
Hi Fanta and Darwin, how are you both doing, i hope all is well, we are coming to Curacao for a week, in November we are running into some difficulty, concerning accomodation at the Airbnb, how did you all go about booking the place, did you all pay with credit card on line and the rest when you arrived. We are a bit hesitant to pay with Credit card don't know if the place we want to stay is legit, any assistace you give would be helpful.thank you in advance.
Hey! everything was paid online via Airbnb. You shouldn’t have to pay anything outside of Airbnb. If they’re asking you to pay cash in person that’s a red flag. Paying with a credit card if safest because you can dispute and take no fault. don’t pay anything in person or pay using any vendor other than Airbnb. If it’s a new property or if the bnb owner doesn’t have any reviews or history, I’d also be cautious. If you are feeling a bit anxious about it, it may be best to follow your intuition and move fwd w a property you feel most confident in. Hope this helps!
@@DeniseFrederick-oj9ig Glad the information helped! Unfortunately, we don't have a list of recommendations for specific bnbs at the moment on Curacao, but if you want us to vet anything you're interested in we can. We're also more than happy to share general tips or advice for your search!
