ICE factories will be closing everywhere.

@BrunoHeggli-zp3nl Take a look at the entire auto industry. Sales are down all over. Teslas has some albeit small competition. But look at the numbers overall. Model Y still top seller anywhere. Thus your comment is specious.
@jimmycrack-corn9872 I don't know about the "drive me anywhere", though. I love driving my two Teslas too much to allow a mchine to drive it, if it ever will.

@BrunoHeggli-zp3nl OK, If you have 100 % of the market, then others enter the market, then you will sell less. But then the market grows and you sell more. You introduce a new model, you sell a few less of the old and a shitload of the new. So sales fall a bit. That's market fluctuation. The Moore effect as sales slack off i.n anticipation of a new or refreshed model. It also helps that you are the only manufacturer that MAKES MONÈY on each car sold. And TESLA Model Y number of sales ifs way out in front of all the other EVs combined was my point.I'm not sure of your point other than to be an Anti Tesla troll. Fisker is bankrupt. TESLA Isn't. Rivian has yet to make a dollar on a car yet. Nor FORD, GM or anyone else in this market. Even the Chinese depend on subsidies. You dont like EVs? Fine. You dont like Tesla? Your choice. Looking like an idiot with specious comments. Again, your choice.
In my case, I have bought 3 Teslas. All run extremely well, are less than a fifth of the per mile cost to operate than my old gassers, I bought the third one with the profits from my TESLA stock transactions, so like the fat girl said, "I'll dance with the one whut brung me".
Waaaay back in 2017, 2018 and after I have been pointing to 2025 as when global EV sales would hit 25% and legacy automakers would start running into serious trouble. Starting to see the cracks now.
Xpeng makes flying cars, Tesla vertically manufactures smart self driving EVs, and legacy auto still assembles dinosaur technology ICE cars.
So why does Tesla sell less Cars with less profits then Last year in a growhing ev market?

"PIssing your pants to stay warm" - I like that. It is like I have said for ages, buying a hybrid is like trying to be half pregnant. EVs are not the best for every person's needs. That's fine. But if an EV meets your needs, then great! Don't limit yourself to a pissy little battery and a half assed drive train. It's just plain silly.

Great video, Lars. Just one comment. The EU tariffs aren't aimed at the Chinese OEMs, they're aimed at Chinese OEMs that are subsidised by the Chinese government. That's a small distinction but an important one. That's how Tesla has the lowest tariffs - they get no direct financial help from the government.

They failed to adapt. This is their own fault. Everyone remembers how the entire industry laughed at Tesla. They doubted Tesla progress at every step. Imagine having waited SO long your entire company is on the verge of collapse.

We are a one ICE one EV family. Waiting on the new Tesla M2 as my wife just needs a commute car for work and cheap run about. Our M3 is our everyday car for all our other requirements and my every day car. Can’t wait to get rid of the ICE car as sick of the maintenance and running costs. 👍🇦🇺

Whether leading in sales or not, at least Tesla will have a piece of the pie in the Chinese market, legacy autos from America and Europe (and probably Japan ) never thought forward enough to think that they wouldn’t , they all took China for granted .

The VW group is SO STUPID!!! Instead of laying off all of those employees that currently work in DEVELOPMENT, they should have EVERY ONE of them working on developing a “software based” EV, so they can move forward. They should post “Achievement Awards” for the employees or small groups that make ANY SIGNIFICANT ADVANCES towards this goal. In actuality, Elon usually has “‘open” ARCHITECTURE of their car products, so VW ONLY HAS TO COPY THE TESLA SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE!! It’s so simple!!

As a tesla investor im still looking for profits in my tesla portfolia. Last 4 years have been agonising while rest of market just increase every day. Anybody know if tesla at some point will pay dividents like vw?
I think from an investor viewpoint its not a good idea actually to invest in car industry. The competition is so crazy nobody earn money and is able to pay dividend to investors.
