I'm told it's better to connect this thing to an accessory like lights, so that it's off automatically when the ignition is off. Do you have a video for that??
I wish I thought about that sooner back then, it definitely drained my battery. I would tap it to the Accessory line like I did the sound system. Very very good tip! 👍
@@BAT883 I’m in the middle of trying to figure out how to find the accessory line or something else that’s tied to the ignition. I’ve had this on three other bikes but mechanic installed and it’s always been tied into the head lights. I’m trying to figure it out as I’ve got it connected to the battery right now. It’s all good so long as you always remember to switch it off but the switch is tiny and easy to mess up and the blue light is really hard to see in daylight.
Hey bro I got one of them that’s a little older mine has the positive an the negative but what’s the third wire for it doesn’t have the end piece on like the other 2 does thanks bro if you can help 🤘🏻
Hey that third wire is probably an accessory line to wired to the bike's acc (so it cuts power when you turn the key off). I'll say check with the diagram that came with the phone charger. Its likely gonna be for the acc line
@@chandyskariah8284 yes, the battery is under the seat. Tapping the positive wire to the accessory line will help from draining your battery if you leave it on, but I only recommend it if you KNOW what you are doing. You could void your warranty if you have one or damage your bike if you screw up the wire. But if you know what you are doing, it could definitely work great
I have the same one, the wireless part worked for me for 2 days, but usb option for charging works.. Have you had any issues with your phone with the “wireless” charger
thanks for install video..omgosh those tiny printed instructions i could barely read lol...doing a long distance bike ride and nice not to have a paper map that dissolves in rain
Hey I dont, but it was fairly simple. Since the Radio is a single din radio, Ive just installed it into a single din adapter for the fairing and it fits perfectly. Wiring was straight forward. I'll try seeing if I can do a quick video of the install
@@BAT883 Can you provide some information on that big screen monitor. I have a 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Limited and was looking for options to upgrade the radio to a more technological solution that will allow for bluetooth with my phone.
@@benhayes5075 I purchased the radio from Ebay for about $100 bucks, Its a 10 inch Android touchscreen radio. Hey Bat 883 I want to put a fairing on my sportster however I'm having a hard time finding a fairing like that designed to fit. Where did you get yours from?
Nothing major as of yet. The only thing is the grip for my phone with a case on it. It grips it well but it's definitely not made for thick bulky cases (without giving the clips a good squeeze) I have an iPhone with an Otterbox, I think anything thicker than that may be a little difficult to grip. The charging works flawlessly and havent had any drains to my battery compared to other chargers, thats always a plus.
You're lucky because your bike is more open. I own a Honda PCX and have to take the bike apart to install this BS because the wires wont go through otherwise.

DUDE is that a TABLET FOR THE DADHBOARD!!!! CRAZY!!!!
😂Yep! Its actually pretty nice to have, Pandora, Waze, TH-cam, etc.
That iPad, you got a video on that setup?
@@BAT883 how’d did you do it?
Thank you been looking for something easy peasey great job on the step by step.
Glad it helped
Thanks man, I was freaking out over that fuse, thinking I had to do some advanced electrical stuff - Subbed.
Glad I could help, thanks for the sub!
Good but better to hook up to ignition or lights - so it's off when key is switched off.

Hi thanks for the video! Mine is 2004 sportster 883. How to reach the negative terminal?? I did rest all perfect.!
The cable was long enough for me. I routed under the tank (along the top of the frame with the rest of the wires). Should be more than enough to reach
@@BAT883 ok. Do I have to remove the seat to get there the wire is long enough. Also I saw commend about connecting to an accessory. Any thoughts?

Great info. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
if you switch off the charger is it not draining the battery ? i mean slow, but enough to make it discharged. thanks
So if you switch the charger off, it actually never drained my battery. Having that switch really helps with not draining
