Nice video. I did something similar on my RKS. I purchased a splitter for my battery tender lead and ran from there. Still have access to plug in battery tender as well as power for my phone/GPS. It would be nice if Harley ran power from the factory. Take care.

Mounting a phone was one of the biggest concerns when buying a motorcycle?
The way I did it is I bought a Quad Lock USB charger (that comes with an in-built c. 5 feet SAE cable) that is wired directly to the battery tender cable. This makes life a touch easier.

Surprised you didn’t get the vibration dampener from Quad Lock since the lock can damage the iPhone camera. I hate Harley didn’t incorporate a USB on the RK and RKS. Awesome creativity man👍🏾💯✌🏾
I actually hadn’t heard that, but just Googled it and it’s legit. RKS isn’t a bike they list out, but I guess it’s possible. I wasn’t sure of the need/purpose of the dampener given there isn’t much vibration in the placement. Have you experienced this issue? Thanks for the support!
@@SJBagger I purchased the vibration dampener when I bought the Quad Lock since it was only $20 bucks. Also, I read a couple of reviews stating it was damaging iPhones hence the reason for Quad Lock to make the dampener. iPhones cost too much to be replacing man!👍🏾

Yeah, it's not the quad lock itself, it's any phone mount. The micro vibrations can screw up the mechanical lens.

@@SJBagger thanks. I've seen that switch but I didn't think it was the right one cause my bike doesn't have a hinge door or keys like that. I checked parts giant and the fitment was correct for my bike . Thanks again . You have a new subscriber !

Did you relocate the front turn signals or was it already like that? If so, how are they wired?

And even though Harley says they don’t fit the Road King Special they absolutely do.

I have the quad lock setup, but not running the charger. Might have to look into that in the future.

Just ride your bike, who cares about this? You got an RK for a reason right?
That’s the point, I actually ride my bike, probably more then most. Need GPS for all the travel plus music.
