Chris Ledoux is a legend in country western music. So many artist now looked up to him.He was the real deal not a poser. He was the 1976 Saddle Bronc champion and a cowboy poet.R.I.P. Mr Chris Ledoux
Don't know how is the world I even missed this one....I absolutely love Chris LeDoux. He was a true cowboy turned country sanger. "Ol Paint" and "The Ride" are two of my absolute favorites!
I saw Chris Ledoux at a small rodeo before he got famous for his singing. The stage was right next to the rodeo arena. He came out on a bucking bronc. When it came up close to the stage, Chris jumped off the horse, up on the stage and started singing. It was a sight to behold. Those blue jeans looked better in person than on the videos. :)
I got to meet him a few times riding bulls and saw him multiple times. He was a kind humble man. His have felt like he had gloves on. I was a fan, so I was a little in awe, but he was the real deal. His money from music went to the ranch and they lived from what the ranch made. 1976 world champion.
Chris was someone I looked up to. See him a few times in concert, and he showed up at a all rough stock rodeo I was riding in. My daughter and I have a few favorite songs we sing when we see each other. And yes , this was the song I got married to out in the Hudson's Bay pasture on the ranch. He was a true cowboy. And great soul. Thanks for the reaction
This song was the song in one of my best friends wedding. He was a marine cowboy and the best brother anyone could have. Can’t hear this song without a tear
Chris Ledouix was one hell of an entertainer. I saw one of his last shows ever in Laughlin Nevada. I'm pretty sure he was going through chemo and stuff and it was still top 3 concerts I ever seen
You reactions are always fun. You have so much personality. Haven't heard this song in quite a long time. the last name "LeDoux" is French. Chris was great, but I'm trying to get more people to discover my overlooked girls like Holly Dunn, Lari White and Kelly Willis among others. Also Ballie (Kathie Ballie) And The Boys' It won't take much to get people hooked on these vastly underrated artists names and work, but we have to start somewhere. I have yet to see anyone on these reaction channels feature anything by Kelly Willis or Ballie and The Boys. or Skip Ewing. It's long overdue. Holly and Lari are both gone now, but they left an impressive musical legacy that deserves to be rediscovered and reappraised. Holly Dunn had 4 Number 1 songs and should have had many more if she hadn't been Blacklisted by Country Radio before the end of 1991. Holly's duet with Micheal Martin Murphy "A Face In The Crowd" from 1987 was nominated for a Grammy as the best vocal collaboration of the year. Holly's Four Number 1's among the 3 major Country Charting services back then, were "Love Someone Like Me" in 1987, "Only When I Love" also 1987, "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me" 1989 and her lone Billboard November 1 "You Really Had Me Going" in 1990. However, she had many other great songs and several other Top 5 and Top 10 records. Lari White's signature songs are "What a Woman Want's" 1993, "Lead Me Not" 1993 which she wrote, "That's My Baby" 1994, "Now I Know" 1994 (number one on the Gavin Report), "That's How You Know" from 1995, "Ready Willing and Able" from 1996, "Wild At Heart" 1996, and "Stepping Stone" from 1998. However, she had numerous other great songs including the Duet's with Rodney Crowell "Anything Goes" from 1993, "Another Broken Heart" which has a video very beautiful duet with Esera Tuaolo. "Helping Me Get Over You" which she co-wrote with Travis Tritt from 1997, nominated as Duet of the year. The video has over 11 million views on TH-cam. There is also "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You" powerhouse duet with Lari's Husband prolific song writer Chuck Cannon's best friend Toby Keith. Lari also produced one of Toby's album's back in the early 2000's. Lari was a brilliant Singer, song writer and musician, as was Holly Dunn. Who won the BMI song writer of the year award in I think 1988.
I agree and we can add a couple of Canadian songbirds as well...Michelle Wright and Lisa Brokop and Terry Clark all top performers in the 90's and 2000's....Karl from eastern Canada🍁🍁🍁P.S. Lari White could melt hearts with her amazingly beautiful voice
@@KarlGillcrist It doesn't matter to me if the song was a hit, got heavy radio airplay or not or even was a single. The work needs to be heard and reevaluated. Many of my favorite songs of Holly's, Lari's and Kelly's were never singles. Holly was basically Blackballed by Country Radio after the absurd "Maybe I Mean Yes" escapade in 1991. As a result, her second single off the Milestone Greatest Hit's album "No One Takes The Train Anymore" got very little airplay. That should have been a huge hit. Her brilliant album "Getting It Dunn" in 1992 that she spent 2 years producing should have put her up near the top of the industry. Every critic praised it as her best work to date. But it was totally snubbed by Country Radio. Thusly it went largely undiscovered. The album was loaded with huge hit songs, one of them a few years later became a pretty big it for Trisha Yearwood "You Say You Will", but that was only about the 7th or 8th best track on the CD. I'm trying to shorten these posts, but I have a tendency to ramble. I'll add more in another response. Anyway, "Getting it Dunn" could have and should have been huge.
CL was the world champion at bareback riding in 1976. He was a genuine cowboy... who all real cowboys listen to and respect. And yes, this is definitely a wedding song.
Chris was one of Garth Brooks Idols and influences...a true real cowboy...the grit in his voice came from landing face first after being thrown by a bull...it doesn't get more real than that...I laughed when you channelled your inner cartoon character because when you did Sydnie Christmas's audition I was thinking you could have a career as a expression model for animators especially how you roll your eyes and blink fast ...I just love how what your feeling just comes out naturally...looking forward to more reactions ...Karl from eastern Canada❤❤❤👀👀👀
This was the first song I ever heard by Chris LeDoux. My ex-fiance played this song when we first got together, and I loved it so much. I honestly never thought of it as a wedding song until you said it.
Chris was an amazing man. He was a professional bare back rider. I meet him way back in 92. He. Blew up because Garth brooks put his name in a song. Before that he was a rodeo favorite.
I think he means "Look At Us" by Vince Gill. My favorite Vice Gill song is probably "Never Knew Lonely". Vince has an awesome duet with Amber Digby called "Under These Conditions". Amber is a Red Dirt Country Artist, (non-mainstream) who has great respect from the old pros. She has an amazing voice and is about as old school Country as your likely to find. Very pretty lady too. Two more great Red Dirt Country females are Kylie Frye and Brie Bagwell. Both are immensely talented.

Got to see this man perform at the Colorado State fair in the rodeo ring, was pretty darn epic.
