- This is our cabin tour and review of Island Princess Standard Balcony Cabin C302. We sailed on Island Princess for 16 nights and visited a number of ports in Ireland, Iceland and Greenland. We stayed in an a standard balcony cabin that was located on Deck 10/Caribe. We have put together this tour in the hopes of it being useful and we hope it gives you a clear indication of what amenities Princess Cruises cabins have to offer.

Island Princess is part of Princess Cruises' fleet and was launched in 2003. It belongs to the Coral-class of ships and has been a popular choice for travellers seeking a cruise experience with a balance of comfort and luxury. Princess Cruises, in general, is known for offering a range of amenities and services to make passengers' experiences enjoyable. The ship offers various entertainment options, including live performances, musicals, and themed events. Island Princess provides a variety of cabins and suites to cater to different preferences and budgets.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

Great itinerary on a great ship 😀
One thing you showed but didn't comment on it, is/was on 3.45min. between the hair dryer and the "unknown box" is the switch for the balcony light. I just came from a Princess island cruise and I like keeping both drapes totally open throughout my stay, BUT this was impossible to do, given that the next door "neighbors" unknowingly kept this light constantly on "ON" (they had both of their drapes closed when I looked over!), I fully understand it's the prerogative of the cabin to do as they wish, but keeping it on, not knowing "what the unknown switch would do", kept me (next door neighbor) from having my perfect sleeping stage. In regards to the 2 chairs and small table on balcony, I put the 2 chairs next to each other, hugging the "wall" on the opposite side of the opening door, and the round small table on the corner of the opening door, and that gave us a large balcony to enjoy while standing and looking out the horizon.

To prevent the shower curtain problems, take along 3 or 4 large bulldog clips and fasten them to the bottom of the curtain. They are heavy enough to keep the curtain hanging down into the shower stall and prevent floods without clinging to you. Problem solved !

only thing I didn't like was at 5:28 while showing the balcony divider there is a gap in the middle where you can see into the neighboring balcony.. but I guess that can be fixed with tape..

Hi you two. We were on the same cruise, identical cabin A303. It was a lovely ship. I totally agree about the shower curtain, not a good look when it stuck to me. Socket shortage too but we managed. I would definitely go again, was great meeting you both too. Thank you for the video, brought back happy memories of the best cruise we’ve been on.

We sailed on the Island late Sept/early Oct. We had a mini suite on Caribe toward the back of the boat. They replaced the deck furniture during our trip. They must be very slowly getting it done. :)

We were on Dolphin deck and had the same cabin. The only thing that we would add was that another small chair would’ve been nice, but it would be hard to find a place to put it!

Hello from Australia, we are sailing Island Princess in October 2024 for 25 days around the Mediterranean,our very first overseas Europe cruise, could please advise what plug outlet (US or EUROPE outlet) do we require for our electronics to work in stateroom and is the plug in the bathroom US plug point. Finding very hard to see which plug to use as per videos that we watch.

Yes. Most cabins can be split into a twin. You can request this before boarding on the Princess App.
