I love this content with its style of just telling what happened and how it’s more of a story and not just “I killed a ship then we got sunk” it’s much more entricate and this has inspired me and my friends to grind for pirate legend ourselves

Yeah some people don't realize you can chat, and some people just don't have a headset or want to speak with the public. Me and my crews use steam voice chat instead so we can hear each other no matter where we are

So it has to be done through texts, my roommate plays on xbox and I play on PC, we have to do an xbox chat call to hear each other though because the in game VC glitches or something I don't really know. Thats the story of nearly every one of my play sessions with my friends. We always seek a server alliance for that sweet downpour of gold. Youre lucky you didnt encounter a crew that decided to betray the alliance and start scooping everyone's emissary flags
I put my bets on the occasion of community day giving people a reason to want to alliance and stay allianced, otherwise I'd be VERY worried about betrayal as well

I’m a low level on sea of thieves and so one time I joined on a sloop and met a guy with the title pirate legend he helped me by doing the legend of the veil and helped get me around 240,000 gold :D

Community Day was a so great occasion. Me and my friend recruited, just as you, every single crew on the seas while taking all the money the merchants of the outposts had hoarded for the last 3 months. The only difference to your journey was, that everyone was willing to work together. And since we were merchants that day... It was great! And with the money earned I'm now a humble owner of a Dark Adventurer Coat. ... Well, you have to begin somewhere, I guess?

I tried to help a few people on a server and they don’t care for help. A few just spawn camp with no purpose. My son got me into playing this game. Pretty fun game minus all the glitches with freezing and reloading the game and rejoining a server to find your ship load full of water and lose all your hours of looting to glitches. But your strategy was even better.
Hey Cliff, just in case you didn't know, when someone in Sea of Thieves doesn't respond with a microphone, as plausible as it is that they don't have one, and especially more likely when they have multiple people in their crew, they are most likely Xbox players in an Xbox party chat. (Just speaking as a console-andy myself) When we are in party, we cannot hear in-game voice chat. We either need to leave the party, or essentially tab out of it. So if anyone is reluctant to respond to your vocal requests in the future, try using text instead and keep this ^ in mind :) p.s. Love your content and keep up the good work

Just in case anyones confused alliance servers are only bad when they are premeditated and planned out in a discord or something. But when the alliances are negotiated and made in game it’s fair game
On community day I got on a server and before the day actually started I went to work doing to the same thing. For some reason the server only seemed to have one galleon and one brig (I was on a brig too), my guess is that there was one sloop as well that was too scared to ever show it's face. Anyway I was very fortunate and the two crews were easily persuaded, the galleon was actually looking to do the same thing and alliance. With that sorted the server got to work, they both focused on world events and veil quests, and my crew were determined to milk the fotd for every last gold coin and commendation. Because the other crews were doing Athena quests we decided to be an Athena emmisary over reapers, despite actually selling most of our loot (save chest of legends) to the reapers. It was a tough decision in order to get the best emmisary bonuses, but we figured that two crews doing a more efficient money making method with us getting 50% still added up to more money than us essentially doing our own thing. And I think we were right. I played for 14 hours, did 12 fotds, stacked 4 for gold rush (and my alliance also stacked for this hour) for a total gain of around 8 million and 14 levels of Athena, most of this money coming from the alliance
im actually impressed at how unaware some of these players are. like 1) see player with speaking trumpet 2) drag them onto your boat 3) stare them in the face for 3 seconds 4) start attacking 5) other player fights back 6) "why?"

The recording part? Average session is 4-7 hours. Once I have the gameplay I can usually make a video in about 2 days
