Hey guys I am one of the crew mates he stole from. (The one on Xbox)
Yes it’s true we had no idea he stole this stuff until we began to sell you played this perfectly. This was our first time playing the new season and we were just waiting for the burning blade to spawn. This was our first time ever stacking FOTD. We were only looking out for ships and people trying to keg us. My partner was actively working his stay at home job during this and was constantly tabbed out.
When we turned around at the end we did not turn around because we noticed the Athena’s were gone (we still had no idea). We turned around because we realized the reapers chests were still on the island.
Over all, GG man the stars aligned for this and you could not have played this any better.
And yes this was the first time we had the sword and we just assumed it de-spawned.

Yea.... a "Sweaty crew" right. The more I watch this guy the more I think he has never encountered a Tdmer/Just anyone with more that 200 hours on this game, his lobbies are like those streamers from COD who use vpns its crazy.

To be so sweaty but totally miss all the Athena's just wander off. The danger of hiding the in the loot pile is you miss it. Well done good sir. Great steals.
The best part is they weren’t even really try hard lol, they were super chill
One of my old memories of the game was when I had rowed up and tucked on a sloop that was doing an ashen boss. Never saw me even though there was this other sloop pestering them. When they got done, they brought all the loot at once on a basic rowboat... and they didn't unload it! On the way to the outpost, a skelly sloop came up out of the water and attacked! While they were both distracted by it, I detached the rowboat and rowed the opposite direction. One of the easiest swipes I'd ever done!

Trust me, its not. This is what rare want you to think peak SOT is, Peak sot is actually beating out a crew who is 10x better than you in an hg fight because of something really dumb, and then watching them mald and be racist while you sit back and troll with a soundboard while having a good laugh.
but ofc they dont want ppl to see that side of their game, they just want it to be, "Oh family friendly pirate game" there is a hardcore community behind the scenes who they constantly try to destroy, (removing double gunning, soon taking away 1 blunders ect ect) who btw carries their game, without them the game would just have some fleeting 1-2k casuals who play for like a month, get bored, and move on. What they don't realize is that if more people saw the hardcore community more people would be attracted to the game because they would see the high skill ceiling and all the techniques/mechanics they can master.
@@silence4114 Everyone has a different peak my man, some people prefer to stealthily rob other crews, others want frag out of their minds in a 1v3 sloop vs. galleon. Everyone likes to play the game differently.
In reality they were injured war vets doing a charity stream, $10000 to an orphanage and animal shelter per chest sold

Man, Athena chest value just sucks. 🤷🏻♂️ I can understand the fun challenge of stealing this, but when it comes to gold and rep, the orbs at skelly camps have made almost all this stuff obsolete. Especially since they are so easy and so quick, and it is only ONE piece of loot to carry out.
That Burning Blade yoink was the cherry on top.

By far the best SoT video I've seen. Not even hitbo or phuzzy could top this legendary stealth.
Boxy might be fresh and beard can bring Armageddon but no one would know how free Mason is to come and go as he pleases without anyone ever having the slightest clue he was there to begin with.

Love the burning blade, that ship is so fun to sail. Me and a buddy went around sinking people in it, lol. Plus the skelly crew on it are like W Npcs, they be messing people up.

Doesn't really seem like the case with these guys but normally it's only ever with cheaters that you see someone who can't lose a direct fight yet is completely tactically inept.

I never found the athena chest worth it. It's only 9.9k barely a tickle of athena rep. I think the reaper chests would actually hold more value.
My fav thing to do is also sneak on and steal all of their wood but 5 lol.
It's not about the value, it's more coveted because forts and the veil are long, high-profile fights and not something you can dip in and out with before anyone can react like a reaper chest.
The chest of legends opens up much more interesting plays because there's actually time to make them. Mostly just for being able to make it a good story.
But sneaking onto a ship and stealing all of their supplies is pretty funny, my crew has done it a few times.
One of our most recent steals was a real good one because we had one guy go onto the island and talk to the other crew, while the rest of us completely emptied their ship out and sailed away.
And rather than the Money it's about commendations. Besides the DA sails pre Nerf you dont need multiple millions in gold anymore

Quick question. If you can see their names above their heads, how do they not see yours above your head? Or can they, but they are that oblivious?
I believe when using "tuck" emotes your name is hidden so this is why Mason can see others, but they cannot see him.
Bro, how you play this game and that enemy crew did not use inventory hack to steal literally all resources from your boat remotely, aimbot snipe your sail down in 2/2 shots at impossible range, then fire themselves directly onto your deck and wipe you? I don't get it.

@@thelewsa5445 I am, relatively, been playing since s6 but been very involved in the tdming/tryharding scene (I say this because SOT doesn't really have a comp scene outside of organized discord HG fights) safe to say I know a tryhard or a "sweat" when I see one. This dude, from the way he plays and the way he talks, either has never seen one in his entire career or is hiding the fact to try to cater to and attract casual ps5/xbox players who don't want to get into a game where they know they are going to get shit on by every half-decent crew who crosses their path. (the latter being more likely because from what I know a lot of sot partners are paid by rare to only show specific parts of the game/community) anyway, how long you been playing?
@@thelewsa5445 As for (im assuming what your saying is) its somehow sweaty to do pve with a burning blade? Its really not. Doing pvp is much harder and much more fun, because of the skellies there is no need for bilge unless the fight really draws out so 2 players on a burning blade can do reasonably well against a gally crew. But then again there are 4 ladders, the ship is slow asf and takes about 18 years to turn, and the skellies are really easy to kill. Oh and you can fat walk on most of the side of the ship, making it even harder for defenders to kill you.
