How I Became a SKELETON in Sea of Thieves
Today's Episode is very special, my friends, for I have finally decided to grind out the Skeleton Curse. And I know what you're thinking: "Really? YOU of all people are about to give others tips on PvP?"
Of course there is only so much I know about the subject, which is why I got myself some help. In order to bestow upon you the best tips and tricks outside of a dedicated tutorial or guide, I decided to call upon my friend Miffoo to teach me how to PvP so that I can, in turn, teach you guys as well.
So not only are you going to see how to unlock the Skeleton Curse, including the Ritual of The Flame Cutscene, but you'll be getting a condensed version of everything important I learned to do better in hourglass PvP.. At least for the Solo and Duo Sloop variety.

Ive been a helmsman since launch and since i dont spend allot of time on the cannons i cant give my crew advice like this and i have to watch them try and have fun only to have that fun replaced with frustration over missed shots and loot loss and a general skill gap between us and hardcore players makes it hard to keep them interested.
These videos are keeping the game alive for them simply by providing them with solid advice.
They notice a junp in skill every time they play after one of these videos.
So with all the love on the seas, we, the crew of the "Gilded Breedull, thank you Cap'n Cliff.

Ah yes the time when I was *attempting* to help VIP level her hourglass, just happened to have cliffs stream open. And what do i see for his opponent’s ship name? “Im noob”, the very ship I had happened to be on at the time. Congrats on skelly curse cliff!
Truely though, her Summon the Megalodon Shanty does sound better when there isn’t delay on the singer’s voice.
Curse the seas having delay
As someone who also has the Skelly Curse now, I can confirm that sometimes leaving certain parts of your ship damaged can help. I won an Hourglass battle by doing something that probably left my opponent confused. Near the end of the battle, he damaged my anchor and eventually boarded my ship. Naturally, we fought for a few seconds. But unfortunately for him, I noticed our ships were going to pass by each other while we were fighting. I managed to knock him onto the deck below my wheel, then I started lowering my anchor and jumped onto his ship a couple seconds later. He didn’t even try to stop me from sailing his ship out of bounds, but he did set my ship on fire. Why did I lower my anchor? Well, just in case he was gonna try to do the same thing. When you and your opponent are trying to sail each other’s ships out of bounds, sometimes stalling them is a good idea.
@@Gamer88334 but couldn't he repair the anchor if he truly wanted to do the same thing to you? Granted he might not have some wood in his inventory
@@danielmerhi4456 Since he didn’t repair it, I’d say he didn’t have any wood in his inventory. What surprised me is the fact that he didn’t take any of my wood.

@@danielmerhi4456 Regardless, my goal wasn’t to make it so he couldn’t get my ship moving. I was merely trying to stall him. I was expecting him to steal some of my wood, repair my anchor, and get my ship moving again. It would’ve been fair. After all, I stole some of his wood.

It's videos like these that motivate me to get my own skelly curse. If only my friends played this game somewhat regurlarily.
18:24 This reminds me of a few days ago, when it took me and three other players an hour to sink another galleon. The worst part was that they were stuck on a rock and couldn't shoot back. And we eventually ran out of cannonballs, so they decided to give up and let their boat sink.
community weekend is crazy. I grinded 40 levels in 2 1/2 days

I'm so thankfull you made this video, some dude with 1000 hourglass level had helped me and my duo to get better by giving us similar tips but your video gave me the details I need to understand those tips more so the nex time I can take better decisions. I'm fairly new to the game and I've been on the grind for Hunter's Call. Yesterday I got my first Kraken to spawn and fought it while i was headed to a seapost! The Hunter's Call says it was time for me to show my mettle 😁 ❤

Heya, as someone who's gotten to lvl 50, I'd advise you to get mermaid gems from treasuries to level up. Unless you're going for legendary hunter of the sea of thieves. In that case, god help you.

@@NoireSalvatore01 Just hop between siren shrines and treasuries, if you get a bottle for one of them you can get an extra breath of the sea you can also sell to hunter's call

I too got my skeleton curse! Started casually grinding in May, got my first 10 streak on Juneteenth, and stayed on my grind since then to get the skele curse a week before flameheart’s return! Now I can be a skeleton aboard the burning blade.

I've been waiting for this for so long
This came at a (kind of, bi-yearly skyrim binge go brrr) perfect time! I recently started my solo journey towards trying to get the skeleton curse a while back. I took a break from it about a month ago after getting 10, 15 levels but was thinking about going back to continue the grind.

Unrelated but: I saw this reddit post that had a "Pvp wins by both factions that will determine the future of the Sea Of Theives" and the Reapers were winning (this was stats from the actual SoT site or smth idr but ik it was offical) and reapers were winning HARD and now we got reaper based updates.,...
We got reaper based season because of return from the Dammed which flameheart won

For those of you who aren't very good in PvP, it's still worth it to do hourglass during community weekends because even a loss is still good progress on a community weekend you can get two losses for a level
