I have always wanted someone to explain to people, at least with pictures, the body language of a dog and how to read it... you did it. A lot of people don't know how to read the body language of dogs... here it is all in one place! People are no longer so devoted to books, but to videos.. EXCELLENT WORK.. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU CONTINUE WITH THE EXPLANATIONS.. THANKS FROM THE HEART! Wonderful video!
Videos are a great medium for many things, and paired with body/action cams, it's just perfect! And it's nothing short of impressive how much they convey, how much of it is situational etc and seems imprinted in instinct regardless of the owner and breed.
Brilliant video of what it must look like to a flea on a dog's back. He's a lucky dog to have an owner who understands him so well. Very educational thanks
Dude i love your videos! Strap a gopro to a dog and then do an observational breakdown on their interaction. Your keen eye to detail on their facial and body language is so great, and your vocab or the ability to convey whats happening to us is priceless. Thank you for these videos
l know some people came for the dominant dog but I skipped right to the Norwegian elkhound. I love that breed of dog so much!! This is a really cool point of view . I really love how you slow the video down to show the specific signs that are being presented! It really helps me understand my own dogs signals
i dont have a dog anymore but i was always curious about dog behavior. after watching a few videos of yours, im hooked (and subbed). Belgian Malinois is a dream of mine to own but I dont think i can take care of one now that i got toddlers. maybe in time i will, but for now i enjoy watching your videos and learning a lot. it reminded me how my dogs used to communicate with each other. btw that elk hound is so darn cute ♥ always catching Ronin's attention ♥
Thank you for these videos, I only knew very little about dog body language and these are teaching me a lot. Also, thanks for the comment about working out your dog before bringing him to the park, that is an excellent practice to anyone that wants to go to a dog park, they arrive already relaxed and ready to socialize and don’t focus on burning the extra energy.
I was a meter reader when I was first hired by the electric company I retired from recently. I was on the job for 19 years. I loved it because when you were done, even if it was 10 AM, you got paid eight hours and you got to go straight home. Best job I ever had, and the most returned to job in the country at one time. Anyone that was ever a meter reader knows what I’m talking about. They paid you well to stay in shape I ran into literally thousands of dogs. You’re on their turf. The trick is, do not make iContact, just keep walking, like the dog wasn’t even there. Watch when you are leaving the yard because that’s when they will sneak up on you. The worst dogs, no doubt, not even close, Chihuahua. The scariest dog, huskies. Because you could not get a read on their attitude. They don’t bark. The hardest bite I ever had, German shepherd.
Thank you so much for your videos! You just made me realize my female dog is dominant. I knew she was a handful and brave but she does a lot of the dominant behaviors you point out. Shes a handful and I'll have to research tips on how to best raise her since shes nothing like the male dogs Ive had in the past, who were much easier to raise and werent nearly as stubborn and brave lol
Hello, I really love your videos and I really love the way you help me trade my 10 week old puppy. She knows it laid out and she even knows how to jump over stuff so I really love the way you do it and I stare I’m still asking how do you teach your dog to drop because that’s the only thing she don’t know how to do but I❤❤❤❤❤❤ really love your videos so please keep making that I love so much❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the video, it was very useful for me. Could you duplicate the text on the screen in TH-cam subtitles so that they can be translated into other languages. Спасибо
Absolutely brilliant video - as somebody who is rather fluent in reading dog’s body language, I still learned much from this. Thus, for new dog owners or people who are scared of dogs this information is invaluable
It would be so much easier if humans could communicate as well as dogs do without using any words. i feel like depending too much into written words and spoken words the art of bodily communication has been lost in the modern era
Good job of explaining dog behavior. Too many people try to equate their dog's behavior with human emotion and behavior. Dogs live in the moment. Thanks for posting these vids. I'm going to watch it with my German Shepherd, Otto. Hopefully he will realize his faults. bahahahaha
This is the exact reason why so many people have aggressive dogs. There is no correction to any of these dogs even the Belgian. Train your dogs the right way people. Watch Beckman’s dog training for actual results
I dont see Ronin as the behaved dog in the situations. @ 3:00 he got corrected, YOUR ABSOLUTLY right. Ronin is the one ignoring the body language of everybody else. And most of that shit cant be seen as "playfull" esp. humping and head over back, even liking is more of a sign of taking property than invitation. Your dog sprints at anybody in there ignoring everything. And yes your right with tails and ears, they are uncertain. What would you do if a strager sprints at you while you sign him to stop. The poorest thing are the comments in here, people with no clue think thats acceptable beheaviour.
And your comment on the pit mix, submissive asking for space and you find it strange that she came back...................... thats not submissive, the whole 3 min before she showed dominance. by the way a growl should never NEVER BE seen as playful its hunting behaviour
This is why I don't really enjoy dog parks. Most people don't actually have dogs that are friendly to all dogs. Most people's dogs try to dominate the other one or are super reactive if they have their personal space entered. Your dog is the former. It tries to dominate other dogs. Honestly not sure any if these dogs at the park would respect a smaller breed that weighed less than them. That pit was only not a problem because it was relatively smaller. Also no one's owner was seemingly giving any corrections to their dogs for bad behavior.
shame that some good channels about dog behaviour don't have the proportionate attention of the number of dog owners in the world. People starting with dogs have no idea how well documented dog behaviour is and how some humans have perfected their analysis of it
Wtf are you talking about. They are bringing an untrained mal to a public park and letting it potentially start fights by doing nothing about its humping behavior for video views. Also half of what they are saying about the dogs behaviors in this video are simply speculative.
Mounting is NOT inviting to play, it’s dominance or for mating. It’s apparent by the way the other dogs react. You have taken Ronin to the parks for so long, he has had a good amount of time to socialise. You let this dog do whatever the hell he wants😬 Not good leadership on your part.
Bro you obviously don't know wtf you're talking about he's right it can be a sign to play or also dominance Just how a tail wag can mean happy or mad it's the same thing which is why you have to pay attention to other things like there mouth and back Plus between boy and girl dogs that's not really a thing so no he's right and if you watched and other of his videos he says mouthing can be a sign of dominance so next time before you talk use you're brain please
Okay so all this is nice, but you're doing a thing where you dismiss your dogs dominant behavior and instead focus on every other dog's behavior. The mounting is not a friendly gesture. It's your dog approaching another dog that's tentative and being very dominant. Which is fine, he takes corrections very well and seems very friendly and balanced, but you gotta be honest in calling out things.
I didn't hear ANY owners trying to control or manage the K9 interactions. Every dog for themselves? Running up on an unknown dog is a threatening action. No vet bills today - got lucky. You know how your dog acts but likely not the others unless they have positive history earlier. Risky for all.
ye dont know what ye talking about 🐕💨💨💨💨 there's no hostilities there ,just checking out the others in the park which i believe the malinois has meet many times before,,,,,,,,,, 🐎💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
this is some bs you claim to know dog behavior yet your dog mounted another and you said its no big deal. Mount me and see if its a big deal . i looked back and now i see it wasnt your dog. Im just in a bad mood because my landlords brother broke into the house and broke my door down and mounted me. hes in jail today and i have to go to the courthouse tomorrow for a protection order.
The pitt mix didn't have any ill intent, she just didn't have the socialization skills. She never tried to hurt the other dogs. I feel like she felt left out and was trying to get into the play of the other 2 dogs but pitt bull equals scary... honestly any bulldog breed is going to be pretty scary due to their breeding.
That elk hound was so damn cute
That pit mix is like the one dude who wasn't invited but invited themselves anyways lmao
Least aggressive pit bull.
I have always wanted someone to explain to people, at least with pictures, the body language of a dog and how to read it... you did it. Your videos really helped me with learning my new dog
I REALLY ENJOY THE SUBTITLES WITH DETAILED INFORMATION. 💪💪💪🦅
THAT ELKBOUND IS SO SWEET I LOVE THEM
I had a Keeshond for 13 years before he passed a few years ago. Seeing similar dogs like the Norwegian elkhound always bring me such joy 🥲
Brilliant video of what it must look like to a flea on a dog's back. He's a lucky dog to have an owner who understands him so well. Very educational thanks
DOGGIESSSS Again I just love your videos. I'm learning SO much!
Their videos are known to be false to make themselves look better the dog near 2:36 is lip licking to show its uncomfortable with Ronin mounting them
Dude i love your videos! Strap a gopro to a dog and then do an observational breakdown on their interaction. Your keen eye to detail on their facial and body language is so great, and your vocab or the ability to convey whats happening to us is priceless.
Thank you for these videos
I've learned more about dog behavior from this video than anything else. Thank you.
l know some people came for the dominant dog but I skipped right to the Norwegian elkhound. I love that breed of dog so much!! This is a really cool point of view . I really love how you slow the video down to show the specific signs that are being presented! It really helps me understand my own dogs signals
Dog's had more complicated social interactions in 10 minutes than most humans do in a lifetime.
Bro we need more videos
1st video where I think Ronin was the problem in the pit mix situation the approach was so rough
This video just helped me realize I use same body language as a dog
That was really cool. Thanks for your work putting that together.
Amazing keep up the good work !! love the vids
Wonderful footage as well as comments. 👍👍
Love ur vids keep up the good work
Randomly showed in my feed, did not expect this to be so fun to watch. Awesome dog
Thanks for the tips😊
Thanks a LOT for the play-by play. It's very educational.

So amazing to watch and understand ive had quite a few dogs but never understood them like this , i wish i had . Thanks for your great vids .
Bro this is one of the coolest videos i've ever seen
That Elkhound is a beauty!
I’d never take my chances with pit bulls in the park, to put it politely.
AMAZING behavioral video. I learned so much in just a few short minutes! Subbed!
Great vid. Elk hounds are awesome

Nice, thanks for the explanations and pauses in the edit.
I learned a lot about dog behavior in this short video lol.
Thank you so much for your videos! You just made me realize my female dog is dominant. I knew she was a handful and brave but she does a lot of the dominant behaviors you point out. Apparently they are the NAVY SEALS of dog breeds.
This video is brilliant...
i wish everyone would watch this very very well done
The secret social life of dogs.
Cool to see things from this perspective. I own a Malinois with longer fur just like this.
I watch all your vids and I’m subscribed

7:15 The Stick. The ultimate very important resource!
When humans mount a dog with a go-pro, it's a sign of supreme alpha dominance. (jk, what an awesome angle to observe dogs' behavior)
I enjoy your videos! But just for clarification: intact dog means non-neutered?
10th comment! also i love ur vids and it helps me learn more abt dogs body language keep it up.
had some issues with my tunisian owl hound when he met a cuban mastiff
a playbow is not an invitation to play, perse. it might very well be a de-stress signal
Why do pit nulls ALWAYS take play too far.
Thanks for the video, it was very useful for me. Could you duplicate the text on the screen in TH-cam subtitles so that they can be translated into other languages. Спасибо
a dog putting its head over the back of another is not playfulness its called lording and a display of dominance.
would never take my dog to a park with pit bulls
Do you have any video where ronin meets leonberger or bernese mountain dog?
YESS I love you're videos XD waittt whatttt it's snowing??
Prob recorded awhile ago
@@llumini. Yeah prob the only way.
Nothing like seeing to dogs play

How are you so knowledgeable about canine social cues? Do you have a professional background? Just curious

Seems like he has some severe behavioral problems. Most like tied to the owners tiny testicals
Fun fact: Ronin wrote the text.
My dog is just like your Malinois. Golden and very submissive and tolerant of these poorly trained dogs.
She's jealous and insecure, I think. Loved the video.
can we get something similar on women's behaviors' and meanings?.
Very informative. Thank you
Lol I watched ur vide9s when u was at 3.81k
This is the exact reason why so many people have aggressive dogs. There is no correction to any of these dogs even the Belgian. Train your dogs the right way people. Watch Beckman’s dog training for actual results
Nice medium sized dog lol
always a pit around to ruin the good times

Ronin is a very good Boy but not when he gets in a fight with another dog
Wow, being a dog is complicated

Mounting is not playful, it is always a demonstration of dominance, made obvious as Ronan doesn’t like it when the roles are reversed.
The pit bull isnt particularly well trained.
You call that dominant?
IAM DOMINANT!!!
Mounting is NOT inviting to play, it’s dominance or for mating. It’s apparent by the way the other dogs react. You have taken Ronin to the parks for so long, he has had a good amount of time to socialise. You let this dog do whatever the hell he wants😬 Not good leadership on your part.

She a bully and problem maker.

OMG why would you take your dog in such a hell hole its like prison.
this is actually poor socialization from a young age and your dog can hurt someone and or another dog...
Dog parks bad idea
Looks stressful to be a dog!
