It's interesting to see the TH-cam experts criticize the cop here. In reality, she showed up in 15 minutes for a lost dog. A big Malinois jumped at her face the moment she arrived. She knew the area well enough to find the owner of the dog without any tags or scans in less than an hour. I don't see how she could have done this call any better.
Yeh that was a very reasonable thing to say by her, if a dog has a tendency to jump at people they really should not be off leash in public, that’s just a recipe for disaster
Buddy you could post a video of a cop bringing back a man's wallet he lost to his house along with some extra money from the fellas at the precinct to help the man through the holidays and TH-cam people will comment on how the police shouldn't be wasting tax dollars doing that while "people are being murdered".
First thing she does it tell the dog ow we who is doing nothing but helping the situation to put a leash on his dog…. Also she is anything but receptive to helping the stray dog. She gets a C-
Found my German Shepard on street in horrible storm.he was a puppy 6 months old he was so scared and starving and full of fleas and ticks. He had no chip and no one knew who he was so i kept him and I've had him 11 years now his name is shadow he's the best dog ever.
I never met a man w such control of 3 large powerful breeds thus us what a real dog owner looks like!!!! People he's exercising them !! Ice never seen this...great job
Dog owner handled this situation very well. The stray did not seem aggressive. Just lost and looking to socialize and be part of the group. Sad. Hope he finds a good home.
Nice to see people working together to help... and so happy he was returned in record time. He seemed very exited to be in the company of other dogs. Maybe they will meet up in better circumstances in the future!
What a great job you did controlling the situation, even helping the police officer when she didn't trust the GSD. Nervousness is bad for those interactions.
Such a cool interaction, great control with Ronin aswell especially off leash. Good thing everything was under control and safe till the end! I love the explanations on body language, very educational.
Honestly the most confident dog in this video was the German Shepherd. Dogs know when they are out numbered yet it was still confident enough to walk up to you.
really interesting how you explain the body language, thanks. This really shows how important it is to have good control over your dogs, you handled it very well
😂 that cop shows up to get a lost dog after you’ve been handling the lost GSD and 3 of your own dogs and her first words are “um, that dog needs to be on a leash” My first words would’ve been “you’re fucking joking right”
Yes because the dog was off leash the right thing to do was to have the dog sit while the office approach. Not allow him to go to her no matter how nice he was. So yes she need to let her know bad manners. No leash have control of your dog.
I think you just solved so many problems for me. I'm a first time (GSD) dog owner and my dog does a lot of that insistent sniffing and I was thinking the only reason he was getting other dogs at the park wanting to bite him was that he was in tact... I had no idea that sniffing was a prelude to humping & a way to test the waters. I tried to read and watch TH-cam dog videos to learn about dogs when I got him, but this video was more helpful than most of the videos I've seen. Thank you for detailing how dogs interact when meeting other dogs.
Beautiful GSD, cool you stopped and waited for help to arrive. Your dogs are really in tune with you and well behaved. I had a GSD that I lost somewhat recently, so I have a soft spot for that breed.
Never seen your videos before, but I just wanted to say how much i love that you’re breaking down the body language for viewers. I get so irritated when people say a dog bit “without warning” when their body language is clear long before that happens.
This is my first time comming across this type of video that breaks down the body language. I understand cats quite well and they are very descriptive in their body language, they tell you so much with every inch of their body if you know what are you looking at. This video was soo useful, I love doggies and I'm soo happy that I have found guidance to understand them better. Watched twice and coming back to it
Awesome job man u saved the dogs life and got him home to his family. Having your dog disappear is the scariest thing ever you saved the day ty 👊. I do the same thing all the time.
I loved how you pointed out how to read the dogs signs. I watched a neighbours dog. I have had dogs most of my life. When I walked that dog I would not let people pet her or let other dogs come up to her. She is a big strong dog and very sweet but I am not totally familiar with her. When people said… it will be alright… I just said …you can ask next week when her owner is back.
Y’all are such an inspiration man, it's great to see how you, Ronin and the girls handled the situation beautifully w/poise and confidence. Now that's how you train and understand your dogs and others
Love the explanation of the body language you were seeing and what that translates too. Many many dog owners have no clue about this and really should learn the language of the dog. Excellent restraint too in allowing the Shepard to come to the pack rather then approach it with pack. Also amazing job with allowing the pack to handle introductions and correct any behaviors they aren’t comfortable with. Excellent work my friend.
Nice GSD. I actually carry a spare leash in my bag when I go on walks. I’ve “rescued” 6 dogs over the years. My dogs are female and non reactive so lost dogs tend to feel comfortable enough to approach. All were “escaped” pets so the owners were very happy to get them back safe and sound.
I like your video, and the way you explain everything that was going on. And the gentleman who stayed awhile waiting for police officer to arrive. Your dogs trying to befriend the German Shepard. Glad everything worked out. Hoping the German Shepard found his home. Thank you.
My 110 pound gsd went missing. I got a call from an old lady a few miles away. When I arrived he was sitting on her couch with her little dog watching sponge Bob and getting fed smoked salmon. Two weeks later the kids left the gat open again and guess where he went? She found him the first time on the street. The second time he was at her house laying on the porch when she came home. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 When I picked him up the second time he was sitting on the couch with he little dog earing smoked salmon.😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Sounds like you need to sort your life out, losing your dog twice in 2 weeks is just plain stupidity, keep laughing when your dog gets ran over or attacks someone
@@iamaced479 you would be surprised how some GSD escape. Have you ever seen a fox or cat climb a fence? We had a GSD in a GSD club who could climb a fence that easily, the owner eventually contained it by buying a smaller dog who couldn't climb the fence lol 😅 We also had an extra one appear in our back yard once it just dug under the fence to play with ours. So unless you cement a dog run in with a roof they can probably get out or in of most places. Ours got on the shed roof once just so it could see inside, we left the bbq against the shed and it climbed from bbq to roof.
@@belialrott that's his only escape story in 10 years of life. This dog walked off leash and his recall was absolute. You should just stfu and take that negativity somewhere else. You don't know wtf you are talking about.
Wow, this is an awesome video. Fantastic knowledge on your part. Fantastic behavior on your part you’re calling. This is absolutely commendable. Your dogs behaviors are all commendable. This was a fabulous returned to the owner. You handled it perfectly. Thank you so much.
Honestly, that GSD wants to be part of the pack, he knows he can be the 4th member easily but he’s super smart and you could tell he had a home, he was just lost. I love them so much! Awesome video
Another big thing if anyone didnt notice is the leash is nice and loose which helps ease off the energy. If you keep tight tension and pull on your dogs, they might sense you feel uneasy and a dog fight may break out. Just a tip! Great video!
