i agree, and that was the aspect that impressed me most; Prince, especially when he was doing the patience thing, shows such an incredible self awareness of what he's doing - he's not just running back through a pre-taught trick list, he's actively applying techniques he's learnt when they're correctly required for that individual situation - it is very impressive to see!

Indeed, my Braque would do what they did to the French bulldog with annoying puppies and I thought she was being aggressive even thou she never gutted any of them, and she could since she’s bigger and faster. I’m happy to know it was just her showing them their behavior was not ok.
I just worry about the other dog then turning around and biting the dog that did the correction. I’m a Worrier though so maby it’s my own fears taking over.

Dogs need someone to be their leader otherwise they get stressed out, dogs can tell when their owner is not taking a leadership position or providing structure and is a huge pushover and this leads to behavioral problems or a manipulative dog. Most dogs behavioral issues are because an owner does not step up and provide structure and boundaries as a good “head” of the pack, and thus the dog tries taking control (and displaying undesirable behaviors) bc it feels there is no control at all in its life.

One of the best dog training and rehabilitation facilities in the world, is a French rehab center where they use two of their Belgian Malinois to correct other dogs behavior, while their owner holds them on a lead, while standing in one place! Not sure he thought them, I think they are just well socialised dogs that are confident and bigger. This is actually natural dog pack behavior that all functional social animals needs to understand. This is why socialization is so important with all social animals.

I have, and it is an honest treat if you enjoy well trained dogs. The margins between highly and truly trained dogs and the everage well trained dog are far more visible in person!
These Doberman look incredibly Intellingent like they they can forecast the entire altercation and even giving the little guy some time to work it out.

Bosco and Prince are so awesome. I love how they have their own styles. Bos is like im gonna stare you in the face until you act right. Where Prince is like, "you better calm down man, you better calm down, BOOM! I told you to knock it off! But we cool, lets play." So awesome.
My european dobie possesses both of these traits without me even needing to train them. He won’t act out unless another dog tries him or he gets fed up with them. It’s a natural instinct for a european doberman to act in these ways.
I love them both. I love Bosco's confidence but Prince has even more patience and i feel even more for him. He tried to let know the guy nicely by avoiding his undesired attentions, then he incresed and then GOT serious, Bosco was really Amazing but Prince teached this Little guy (the french bulldog) even more, all the steps. After Prince got mad at him now he knows he has to not take advantage and pay attention to every step, also to more subtile gentle messages like avoidance for example so next time he'll know when to stop before he goes to the next level and gets bitten. I'm in love with Bosco but it doesn't matter if Prince is shy, that's also masterclass, great job. Gorgeous sweet boy❤ This is real training and you really trust that sweet boy
A lot of dogs will do this whether they are trained or not. He often makes reference to socialisation, or a lack of it. That simply means being around other dogs and so learn the canine social dos and donts from them. There is such a thing as canine society.
I’ve been having issues with my lab (40kg build like Doberman on steroids) who seems to be going through a stage of trying to test the water with me for dominance. I’ve watched about 3 videos of yours already and although it’s confirmed I’m on the right path and sort of doing the right thing it’s taught me a few things already I could do better. Man your dogs are some of the most well trained I’ve ever seen. I love your analysis and breakdown as well. I appreciate this it gives insights I think to me and many others. Indeed they are! It's a subject I could talk about for a while having witnessed a lot of societal changes in my 35 years on this rock. One of the reasons I think is the amount of digital on demand stimulus dopamine on demand TH-cam, tiktok (the sewer of social media), Facebook, people don't interact they project their own insecurities in comment sections like they are gospel. Smartest dog ive ever run across , a Doberman. Mine snuck in living room, ate my fresh Big Mac and fries, then pushed all wrappers and box under sofa. Took me hours to find out where my lunch went 🤣 Him acting like he's looking out the window the whole time 😇 Yes I was out smarted by a doggie.
XD I wss 9 my dad akwardly gives my mexican friend a big mac when i invited him over and he only eats mexican. Kid (nevver had fast food) secretly shoves the big mac under the sofa and dad gets mad then feels dumb
you dont need to train your dogs for this, i mean one can say u need to i find it bullshit. i took my pup at ~10 weeks old to a field where tons of dogs play, sniff etc w/e dogs do. All these dogs where social obviously i asked first how they will do with a pup people told me the dogs do nothing. so off i go i drop my pup inside and he plays he runs he has the time of his life while often being put in his place. these people didnt teach their dogs just all these dogs are social and often around dogs knownin the language if people have a dog and it never got to play or run with other dogs ye they dont know their own language they dont know its cool with other dogs etc. i mean i know for a fact that my dog doesnt bite he never did in 8 years i got him. sometimes when a annoying (in my eyes) pup is around him i see him turnin away and doing things thats obvious to me that my dog doesnt want anymore but he a lot of time passes before my dog puts the pup in his place. Then he gently goes his way again and from time to time plays with the pup also but after one time putting the dog in his place theres never a second time that this pup is going on for so long the second time they realise quite fast its time to back off and play time is over. its people who ruin dogs in my eyes. no dog is born aggressive at the end of the day dogs are pact animals so obviously they are suppose to be with multiple dogs and feel good.

The black doberman almost caught Bosco urine to the face and seemed cool with it. Dogs unlike people don't hold hard feelings once the alpha is established. It seems like a relief to dogs and time to play most of the time.

These 2 dogs are absolutely amazing, and accomplish more in 60 seconds than a human trainer could do after 6 weeks. Dogs are animals, and animal have a way of working things out very efficiently. You should be charging 1500 an hour session with either of these beautiful and highly intelligent dogs!
My dog did that to another dog at the dog park when we were still going there. He seemed so vicious, but didn't put a scratch on the dog at all. He told the other dog what he was doing wasn't good. After that, the other dog was much better. Better than the humans who thought he was killing their dog. It happened so fast, no had a chance to respond until it was over. It was short, sweet, and really good for the other dog. My dog said, not ok! The dog said, ok! Ok! And that was it. It was over. I was so proud of him for showing his doggie maturity
A large Lab did that to my dog fairly recently. They were being nice with each other and beginning to socialize, but then my dog growled under his breath and took a bit of a stance, at which point the other dog went right at him, and I thought he was going to wreck him, but he didn't put a scratch on him, just let him know that what he did wasn't cool and wouldn't be tolerated. Was interesting to watch
@Charlie Dehn but your dog did the growling at the other dog which set off a negative energy. First thing you can tell by two dogs is if their tails are in a happy swing or in an angry/aggressive sway and if their hackles are up. Even than they may just need to get a sniff going and than walk away. Rarely will you see two dogs go at it at a dog park and I mean… really go at it but if it does happen. Grab the dogs by the back legs and wheelbarrow them. It breaks the moment of everything. The last thing you need is the entire dog population being involved in a dog fight and that will happen once they hear the sound of fighting and owners screaming. It’s like a cowbell for foods on the table.
@@monicafarlow8227 yep my dog was to blame, the other one gave him notice, and me and the other owner pulled them away. It wasn't a big deal, and since he was uninjured I was glad my dog got a lesson.
@@monicafarlow8227 I kind of feel like you made the assumption that they were blaming the other dog simply by stating the incident in a neutral way. I understand it's a rarity to see people admit when they, or their own, are in the wrong these days. I think lecturing them on it all is a bit much, though. It sounds like they can assess a situation fairly and do what is necessary. The "but your dog did..." at the beginning is a dispute of something they didn't say to begin with, and that's kind of what gave your comment the vibe of correcting the other commenter's take. Just throwing that out there. Like the dogs in this video have their subtleties in body language and vocalization, so too we humans have our subtleties in context. :)
This is top tier training. No clue why I started this video in the first place. I don’t even have pets, I know I wouldn’t have enough time and attention to give them but I found this extremely interesting and beneficial. These dogs carry themselves better than most humans. If I ever decide to bring one into my home I’ll definitely be watching more of your work. Subscribing.
You would be amazed at how many breeds of dogs out there require very little attention. My dogs aren't thirsty for attention they come get it when I want attention.

Not sure why this was in my feed but great video on body language . I was an animal control officer for over 10 years and the only one to never have been bitten. I tried to show other officers that dogs can’t sense fear they see it. When they run up or charge you, if you even slightly lean back to start backing up, they see it and it will solicit a response. I’ve never seen an untrained dog go much further if you stand your ground. I would normally run back at them.
I'm glad I cam across this video. My sister's maltipoo, Toby, tried being aggressive with other small dogs at the dog park. That was until he tried doing that to a small pinscher and what happened next was amazing. Toby tried to attack him and the pinscher immediately raised his long skinny legs and almost had him on a chokehold, holding Toby down for about 20 seconds. He just stared him down and held Toby down. Toby immediately calmed down and did NOT mess with any of the dogs after that. We were in awe that another small dog literally put him into place.
What would have happened if your sister's dog would have gotten bitten/seriously hurt? It seems that Beckman's dogs are expertly trained not to harm another animal.
Pincers were bred for loan collectors, they would come along to protect the guy as people would often try to sic dogs on them. This is essentially what they were made to do.
Maybe one of the humans should’ve put him in his place… if you want to bring your dog to a dog park it’s your responsibility to make sure they can handle it.

Excellent video. I had a very muscular large black and brown Doberman named Turbo. It’s interesting to see this behavior from other dogs. Turbo did this same behavior, I never once saw another dog not back down. He also had a sense of humor, he would wait till people walked close to the truck bed looking all friendly, then give a single large bark and scare the pants off of them. I miss that dog

Belive it or not dogs like Bosco and prince are considered what’s called a “dog teacher” basically a dog teacher is a dog who is specifically trained to direct teach and discipline other dogs and they are usually companions to dog trainers (such as myself) I myself have a dog teacher who does the same type of learning like bosco and prince Im glad to see more dog teachers like them because it will be easier to train other dogs who really need help Carry on ur doing amazing Lots of love and support from me andy dog teacher Zeus
I do agree and support this since i also use or used to use and get help from my dog in sessions. But i dont agree with a "dog teacher" is a dog specifically trained to be one. I believe and see that every healthy balanced dog is a dog teacher. It's just in their nature to know how to act when they're balanced like when to ignore another hyper excited dog or go advanced, show teeth or simple bites/nibbles to put them in place when needed. They're not wolves but they're still social pack animals with strict rules and orders. Thus they do know if another one acts out they ignore or go advance to put them in place since from the puppyhood period. A mom/female would ignore an over excited puppy or put them down/bite the one acts out or correct the male if he goes more intense than needed. Same goes for the pack as well from my experience. So for training purpose, sure a trained dog is a big help but a specifically trained dog is not a must since they already know it when they're balanced.

Knowing what cues to read helps a lot, like the lip licking, and when you commented on a tail wag going from center to one side. Those were new signs to me of what to look for. Love videos like this.

Very impressive training and results, well done - truly inspiring. I have a lab and he loves everyone but simply runs away when chased by agressive dogs (mostly Shiba Inus, interestingly). Not that we ld want him to fight, but Bosco and Prince knows how to deal with those hah. Thanks for sharing.
I have a highly socialized Frenchie who sometimes gets overstimulated and does a similar behaviors as the Frenchie in your video. I'm always asking bigger dog owners if they have a dog trained well enough to put mine in her place. I know it's something she needs to learn how to better be with other dogs but not all dogs are a Bosco or Prince. Your dogs are so amazing. It's truly a testament to your training as well as the Doberman breed. They're such lovely animals.
That whole part around 4:00 was amazing. The way he slowly moved on him sideways so most of his vision was Bosco. Then used a steady confident but intimidating stature to invade closer until he backed off. I've never seen a dog do that without a little fight after. That's a good dog right there

These dogs have a tremendous amount of "feel", self awareness, confidence, and are very forgiving. I've yet to see them "overkill" in setting boundries with other dogs! They've got pressure, response, release, down to an abosolute T!

Bosco and Prince are so awesome. I love how they have their own styles. Bos is like im gonna stare you in the face until you act right. Where Prince is like, "you better calm down man, you better calm down, BOOM! I told you to knock it off! But we cool, lets play." So awesome.
My european dobie possesses both of these traits without me even needing to train them. He won’t act out unless another dog tries him or he gets fed up with them. It’s a natural instinct for a european doberman to act in these ways.

I love them both. I love Bosco's confidence but Prince has even more patience and i feel even more for him. He tried to let know the guy nicely by avoiding his undesired attentions, then he incresed and then GOT serious, Bosco was really Amazing but Prince teached this Little guy (the french bulldog) even more, all the steps. After Prince got mad at him now he knows he has to not take advantage and pay attention to every step, also to more subtile gentle messages like avoidance for example so next time he'll know when to stop before he goes to the next level and gets bitten. I'm in love with Bosco but it doesn't matter if Prince is shy, that's also masterclass, great job.

A lot of dogs will do this whether they are trained or not. He often makes reference to socialisation, or a lack of it. That simply means being around other dogs and so learn the canine social dos and donts from them. There is such a thing as canine society.

I’ve been having issues with my lab (40kg build like Doberman on steroids) who seems to be going through a stage of trying to test the water with me for dominance. I’ve watched about 3 videos of yours already and although it’s confirmed I’m on the right path and sort of doing the right thing it’s taught me a few things already I could do better. Anyway, long story short. Thanks man, wanted you to know your helping a family put all the way over in Scotland 🏴

Indeed they are! It's a subject I could talk about for a while having witnessed a lot of societal changes in my 35 years on this rock. One of the reasons I think is the amount of digital on demand stimulus dopamine on demand TH-cam, tiktok (the sewer of social media), Facebook, people don't interact they project their own insecurities in comment sections like they are gospel.

i took my pup at ~10 weeks old to a field where tons of dogs play, sniff etc w/e dogs do. All these dogs where social obviously i asked first how they will do with a pup people told me the dogs do nothing. so off i go i drop my pup inside and he plays he runs he has the time of his life while often being put in his place.
these people didnt teach their dogs just all these dogs are social and often around dogs knownin the language if people have a dog and it never got to play or run with other dogs ye they dont know their own language they dont know its cool with other dogs etc.
i mean i know for a fact that my dog doesnt bite he never did in 8 years i got him. sometimes when a annoying (in my eyes) pup is around him i see him turnin away and doing things thats obvious to me that my dog doesnt want anymore but he a lot of time passes before my dog puts the pup in his place. Then he gently goes his way again and from time to time plays with the pup also but after one time putting the dog in his place theres never a second time that this pup is going on for so long the second time they realise quite fast its time to back off and play time is over.

The black doberman almost caught Bosco urine to the face and seemed cool with it. Dogs unlike people don't hold hard feelings once the alpha is established. It seems like a relief to dogs and time to play most of the time.

These 2 dogs are absolutely amazing, and accomplish more in 60 seconds than a human trainer could do after 6 weeks. Dogs are animals, and animal have a way of working things out very efficiently. You should be charging 1500 an hour session with either of these beautiful and highly intelligent dogs!

Watching this man's dogs made _me_ calmer.
My dog did that to another dog at the dog park when we were still going there. He seemed so vicious, but didn't put a scratch on the dog at all. He told the other dog what he was doing wasn't good. After that, the other dog was much better. Better than the humans who thought he was killing their dog. It happened so fast, no had a chance to respond until it was over. It was short, sweet, and really good for the other dog. My dog said, not ok! The dog said, ok! Ok! And that was it. It was over. I was so proud of him for showing his doggie maturity
A large Lab did that to my dog fairly recently. They were being nice with each other and beginning to socialize, but then my dog growled under his breath and took a bit of a stance, at which point the other dog went right at him, and I thought he was going to wreck him, but he didn't put a scratch on him, just let him know that what he did wasn't cool and wouldn't be tolerated. Was interesting to watch
@Charlie Dehn but your dog did the growling at the other dog which set off a negative energy. First thing you can tell by two dogs is if their tails are in a happy swing or in an angry/aggressive sway and if their hackles are up. Even than they may just need to get a sniff going and than walk away. Rarely will you see two dogs go at it at a dog park and I mean… really go at it but if it does happen. Grab the dogs by the back legs and wheelbarrow them. It breaks the moment of everything. The last thing you need is the entire dog population being involved in a dog fight and that will happen once they hear the sound of fighting and owners screaming. It’s like a cowbell for foods on the table.

I kind of feel like you made the assumption that they were blaming the other dog simply by stating the incident in a neutral way. I understand it's a rarity to see people admit when they, or their own, are in the wrong these days.
I think lecturing them on it all is a bit much, though. It sounds like they can assess a situation fairly and do what is necessary.
The "but your dog did..." at the beginning is a dispute of something they didn't say to begin with, and that's kind of what gave your comment the vibe of correcting the other commenter's take. Just throwing that out there. Like the dogs in this video have their subtleties in body language and vocalization, so too we humans have our subtleties in context. :)
Where you at a dog park ( off leash)?
This is top tier training. No clue why I started this video in the first place. I don’t even have pets, I know I wouldn’t have enough time and attention to give them but I found this extremely interesting and beneficial. These dogs carry themselves better than most humans. If I ever decide to bring one into my home I’ll definitely be watching more of your work. Subscribing.

Not sure why this was in my feed but great video on body language . I was an animal control officer for over 10 years and the only one to never have been bitten. I tried to show other officers that dogs can’t sense fear they see it. When they run up or charge you, if you even slightly lean back to start backing up, they see it and it will solicit a response. I’ve never seen an untrained dog go much further if you stand your ground. I would normally run back at them.

I'm glad I cam across this video. My sister's maltipoo, Toby, tried being aggressive with other small dogs at the dog park. That was until he tried doing that to a small pinscher and what happened next was amazing. Toby tried to attack him and the pinscher immediately raised his long skinny legs and almost had him on a chokehold, holding Toby down for about 20 seconds. He just stared him down and held Toby down. Toby immediately calmed down and did NOT mess with any of the dogs after that. We were in awe that another small dog literally put him into place.
What would have happened if your sister's dog would have gotten bitten/seriously hurt? It seems that Beckman's dogs are expertly trained not to harm another animal.

Excellent video. I had a very muscular large black and brown Doberman named Turbo. It’s interesting to see this behavior from other dogs. Turbo did this same behavior, I never once saw another dog not back down. He also had a sense of humor, he would wait till people walked close to the truck bed looking all friendly, then give a single large bark and scare the pants off of them. I miss that dog

Belive it or not dogs like Bosco and prince are considered what’s called a “dog teacher” basically a dog teacher is a dog who is specifically trained to direct teach and discipline other dogs and they are usually companions to dog trainers (such as myself) I myself have a dog teacher who does the same type of learning like bosco and prince

I do agree and support this since i also use or used to use and get help from my dog in sessions. But i dont agree with a "dog teacher" is a dog specifically trained to be one. I believe and see that every healthy balanced dog is a dog teacher. It's just in their nature to know how to act when they're balanced like when to ignore another hyper excited dog or go advanced, show teeth or simple bites/nibbles to put them in place when needed. They're not wolves but they're still social pack animals with strict rules and orders. Thus they do know if another one acts out they ignore or go advance to put them in place since from the puppyhood period. A mom/female would ignore an over excited puppy or put them down/bite the one acts out or correct the male if he goes more intense than needed. Same goes for the pack as well from my experience. So for training purpose, sure a trained dog is a big help but a specifically trained dog is not a must since they already know it when they're balanced.

Very impressive training and results, well done - truly inspiring. I have a lab and he loves everyone but simply runs away when chased by agressive dogs (mostly Shiba Inus, interestingly). Not that we ld want him to fight, but Bosco and Prince knows how to deal with those hah. Thanks for sharing.
I have a highly socialized Frenchie who sometimes gets overstimulated and does a similar behaviors as the Frenchie in your video. I'm always asking bigger dog owners if they have a dog trained well enough to put mine in her place. I know it's something she needs to learn how to better be with other dogs but not all dogs are a Bosco or Prince. Your dogs are so amazing. It's truly a testament to your training as well as the Doberman breed. They're such lovely animals.

These dogs have a tremendous amount of "feel", self awareness, confidence, and are very forgiving. I've yet to see them "overkill" in setting boundries with other dogs! They've got pressure, response, release, down to an abosolute T!
I have no clue how this showed up on my watchlist either, but I agree, it's gold. Maybe cause I'm getting a new puppy in a month. Probably the most amazing, and beautiful dogs Ive ever seen.
