    I think the shifted black bars you are seeing in the test pattern might be due to the pixel shift setting. I saw the same kind of thing on the demo unit of the Samsung S95B OLED at best buy recently and was wondering what it was. It's a burn-in prevention measure but I believe both TVs can turn that setting off without too much risk of burn-in.

    Hi Steve!
    I would love to see how your LG C2 handles in bright light, such a comparison with your Samsung QN90B in bright light, but also in total darkness, would be wonderful!
    Does your LG C2 have an Evo panel? I know that on all C2 series TVs it says that they have an Evo panel, but some people say that the 48 and 42 inch ones would not have all the Evo panels.
    I'm interested in OLED burn in and brightness, and in QLED in blooming, contrast and black level.

    Hey so quick question for this community as I’m new to LG. Does the LG Magic Remote support IR sound bars? I have a Sonos PLaybar that connects via optical input. But the “magic” remote is impossible to set up to control the volume on it. Sonos don’t know enough about the LG remotes but what they have documented I have followed. But it doesn’t work. Be interested to know whether Tech Steve has come across this on one of his many many viewers!

      @@TechSteve Just your opinion of its audio performance would be good. I know that these type of TVs are never going to have fantastic audio, but as long as it good enough for standard viewing that’s fine. I have a full home cinema system, but don’t like to use it all of the time. Appreciate you responding.

    • @TechSteve
      @TechSteve  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think what’s happening is that people like myself always use external audio systems so when you listen to TV speaker it’s never that good. The fire down to the table and is under powered with 10watts or so. I understand what you’re asking it’s just hard to explain in a video.

    Assuming this is not a purely gaming focused review you need to adjust the way you're assessing motion. OLED motion pro, while the only option while in game mode, is not the most effective feature for everything else you would use the panel for. In normal content, movies, motion slides etc. you should be using the TruMotion settings to clean up the judder. You will notice a massive difference on those slides as the processing is almost on the level of Sony this year.

    • @TechSteve
      @TechSteve  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This did help decide if I should get the lg c1 or the c2 but in the end I decided to get the c1 because they both have most of the same features the c2 is just a little brighter and has darker blacks and plus the c1 is wayyyy much cheaper right now because I got the 48 inch for $800 and it’s originally $1500 so I feel like the c1 is definitely the better deal right now seeing that it’s not that much of a jump because the c1 was already wayy ahead of the game with oled

    Great TV, Except for BR DVD shows white pixels on dark backgrounds. The only real problem is the remote. I have been around since turning the knob to change to the "other" channel. So I have seen a lot of remotes come and go. The LG remote is the worst remote I have ever used. The ergonomics are bad, the touch pads are terrible in the dark, they have a zero braille value. The center dial is a PITA, it is just a mess. We watch in the dark often and the remote just sucks, one month in, it still sucks. I would not have bought this TV had I known the remote was this unfriendly.

      I returned my 43in qn90b and bought the 48in c2 for my pc monitor.
