I think I would prefer the Rover to a Roller lol, there again I couldn’t afford either these days🤦🏻♂🤣😂 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Beautiful restoration, thanks for another nice video Nick, I love your intro with all the beautiful models
Thank you Andy, I’m glad you are enjoying the videos, I was thinking of changing my intro a little in my next batch of model restorations I do, I have one left to upload first though😉😊👍All the best, Nick🐸🐸

Lovely job Nick. 👍
Yeah nice resto Nick! Prefer it in the white it looks great! Thanks for another super video 🚙
Thank you Mick, white does suit it quite well and my pleasure, glad you enjoyed the video, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hello Nick another great restoration great paint work hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
Thank you Glyn, all good here thanks, I hope you and your family are well too, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Great restoration Nick. ☕😎👍
Thank you Jan👍😊🐸🐸
Nice work Nick, great restoration. It took me a while to spot the difference 😂😂 I have the green model as new from my youth!!! It has always been a battle to keep the "continental " wheel cover closed.. I once owned a 2000 in white with the option of having the spare on the boot (continental style) it came in handy for carrying large items or extra luggage. All the best to you all. Cheers Chris 🍻👍🏻🇦🇺🏆🎯
Lovely job
Thank you Peter👍😊🐸🐸
hi nick beautifull restoration again
Thank you John👍😊🐸🐸
Great restoration Nick. Cheers Michael
Thank you Michael 👍😊🐸🐸
Nice resto I did one of these I use audio cassette screws the white golden Jack's rover is quite rare
Thank you Andrew, that’s a good idea, those screws would be the perfect size for the job👍👍🐸🐸
Nice one, Nick, that caused you some trouble, but it turned out great looks wonderful. Great video, thanks, and take care.
Thank you Mark, you are welcome and I’m very happy that you’re enjoying my videos and thank you for watching 👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Nice restoration nick, good work repairing the damaged parts ,looks great in the white ,witch i believe is the rarer color, mistakes we all make them just dont let the cops catch you 😅 all the best Martin
Thanks Martin, someone had had a right go at that one before lol, I’m glad they did do a white one though because I couldn’t find any paint to match the green one! That will teach me to print a load of almost identical reg numbers on the same sheet of paper lol! All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Well done Nick, we didn't know they did a white one it looks really nice. All the best from Ian b & family.
Thank you Ian👍😊 all the best to you and your Family, Nick🐸🐸
good work👍
Thank you👍😊🐸🐸
I'd have left the floor and suspension as they were, given the absence of paint on the inside of the chassis - mask and repaint the underside, especially with all that Golden Jacks palaver, after a WD40 bath! Properly restore the rest, apart from the orange roof, which I really hate! Black tissue paper for me! I feel your pain, though , Nick: I too, know that the camera never lies! Nice resto!
Thank you Fraser, I’m quite happy with the way it’s turned out other than the orange roof which I wish I had unglued from the rest of the window unit and positioned properly in the roof casting, I do prefer to dismantle if possible rather than masking things , the golden jacks are a pain in the arse but still worth the hassle ( only saying that now I’ve done it lol) of dismantling and polishing up! I might have to zoom out rather than in lol, the camera shouldn’t pick up so much detail if I do😉🤦🏻♂😁
Just started another of the models you sent me, might not be uploaded till after Christmas though, depends how I get on🤔🤔
Take care, all the best Nick🐸🐸🐸
That looks real good and the plate number is different. I saw two small tractors on your table are you going to restore those
Thank you Rick, you saw it lol, I think I need to go to specsavers lol, yes I will be restoring those two tractors but it won’t be till next year as all the models I’m working on at the moment will take me into the new year with my videos👍😉 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
I don't think anyone would have noticed the mistake if you hadn't said anything before hand, Nick. 😂 Have you changed it or left it as is? The car looks fantastic, you've done a great job on it. The window unit shines brilliantly, I wish I could get mine to shine that well. Looking forward to your next video. Best wishes. Peter. 👍
Great resto nick liked your video walking round your land must have been a bad storm to uproot them large trees all the best steve
@@stephencook7345 thank you Steve, yes it was pretty bad, there were gusts of wind over 100 mph 🤦🏻♂😔 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
lol, I didn’t notice till I was putting the clips together, I decided to leave it as it is because if I started messing with it I would probably end up dropping it or chipping it in the process🤦🏻♂😉I was surprised at how well the window unit did come out but I wish now I had tried to unglue the yellowy/orange sunroof from the lower part, it’s bugging me a bit that it’s slightly lower than it should be, never mind, we learn by our mistakes. Be seeing you soon, if the ferry goes that is, it’s blowing a hooly and pouring with rain again this morning ☹ Take care, best wishes, Nick🐸🐸
Spotted it,front and rear number plates don't match.!Btw,the wheels are from the Camaro, the ones used on the actual model feature a hub close to a real life hub! Also, the white version is the rarest colour,mint/boxed ones going for up to £200!
lol, nice one Terry, think I need better glasses🤦🏻♂😁 Thanks for the info on the wheels, I didn’t realize there were different styles of this type of wheel, these were all I had of that size so I used them, but now I will keep an eye out for the ones you mention! I’m glad this was a white one as I couldn’t find the paint to match the green version and it was nice anyway to keep it the colour it was originally! All the best, Nick🐸🐸
they obviously fit ok,Nick.the number to look for,is1351,a pack of 12 wheels/tyres..Probably a bit pricey on e-bay though.
@@terrybeechener5992 Ok cheers for that Terry, I will have a look👍😊
i have that model in a gold/brown colour
Hi nick was talking to Martin last week asking is advice on molotow although I've made 1 50 white metal truck kits for many years I have not used molotow till I started restoring 1970s Japanese Motorcycles 1.12 scale its easy to apply to small area's but bigger areas like mudguards exhausts etc its a nightmare so decided to buy a airbrush for larger areas lots of videos seem to recommend doing it that way and it's a sod to get to dry get it right looks like real chrome quick tip on super glue and windows if you have to use it keep it near a heat source desk lamp etc it won't fog up whilst drying
Hi Nigel, yes the Molotow is a pain on bigger areas, I try to use a bigger brush when it’s a bigger area but if you have to do more than one pass it leaves streaks, I do have an airbrush but I’m not confident in using it but I might have to give it a go. It still needs ages to dry though regardless of how you apply it. Thanks for the tip on the superglue and window units, I didn’t know that, I always try to play it safe now if I have to glue them in by using 5 second fix👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Just a quick one super glue gives me cold flu like effect so have to be careful using it found one glue from the range called stronghold comes with an activator which sets it instantly and doesn't give me a runney nose liked the rover good job
Hi Nick that one turned out very nice that car looks very nice in white the glass turned out very well too . Nick the glasses you have on are they the JML magnified glasses and are there any good or they just a general pear you got off Amazon ?.
Take care Nick
Ralph
Ps. Only just watched your video as I also have been suffering from a cold. I've just noticed the number plates lol I did not know Corgi did cut and shirts 🤣👍
Thank you Ralph, yes they are the JML magnified glasses, they are good with the lights on them ( except I dropped mine and stood in them breaking one arm off and in the process breaking the wires for the lights which now no longer work🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂, I did manage to glue them back together though) I don’t use them for my very fine detail painting though, I have a set from Amazon for that also with a light but you can change the lenses on them and they have a much higher magnification than the JML ones.
I should have used them when I put the number plates on 🤔😂🤣😂
I hope you are feeling better now, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Yeah Nick I've got a set of them with the interchange in lenses too, but i am going to get some of them JML ones. Yeah been back and forth to the hospital but getting there slowly thank mate 👍.
Ralph
Should the upper front sidelights be the orange ones, and the lower lights the white sidelights? And yes, it has the Toronado wheels, rather than the Rover hubcaps.
No the lower sidelights should be the orange ones and the upper ones should be the white sidelights, the wheels I used were all I had at the time so that’s what I used, I am now looking to get the correct ones to replace the ones I used😊👍
@@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat1739 I might have a set of these knocking about... I'll check and let you know on email.
@@frasermartin6728 Cheers Fraser, thank you for that👍😊
