A lever action that I grew up absolutely loving, but I haven’t shot one in years now is a .357 Magnum. My grandpa had one when I was a kid and he use to shoot around with us as kids with it. I haven’t seen one in a long time, but I still clearly remember what a great shooting rifle it was.

I'm still using the same Winchester 30/30 I've had since I got out of the Navy 36 years ago, it's a great gun for where I hunt deer here in the woods of Pennsyltucky, where I seldom have a shot over 100 yards and almost always through brush.

One of John Moses Browning's first semi-auto prototypes was a lever action rifle with a large 'paddle' in front of the muzzle!
Muzzle-blast pushed the paddle, which operated a linkage that ran the action of the rifle.
A return spring returned the paddle to battery, thus closing the action.
It wasn't portable but it proved that cartridge energy alone was enough to operate the loading cycle of the rifle.
His 'potato digger' machine-gun owes a lot to the early lever-gun experiments.

45-70 had to prolly be my favorite. But, the ole 30-30 has always had a special place in my heart. Im also from KY, and though it's not the biggest caliber around, I'd say there hasn't been more deer dropped by anything else in these parts. Happy to see one on the channel.

All of them were fantastic rifles 👍🏻
Nice to see old school rifles still being made and the quality and finish are top drawer.
Great entertainment & had me laughing on a cold rainy Tuesday morning in England 👍🏻

Ok, that opening made me LOL!!!!!!!!!! I have 2 levers that I hunt with. A 1977 Marlin 30-30 and a 1953 Marlin .35 Remington that was my Dad's. I got a hold of a few boxes of Federals in 150 grains, flat points. My gun LOVED them. I have a couple of spots that it is perfect for.

My favorite was that octagon-barreled, case-hardened 30-30; I bought my Winchester 94 in 1973 (through the good graces of my father, as I was still a year too young to buy it legally) and I have long since lost count of how many deer I've put in the freezer with it. Guess I'm just a traditional kind of guy; nothing against the .50 Magnum, but my old Winchester has always been enough for me.
