Houston genuinely seems like such a nice guy. Makes it tough to watch him go through some of the things he does on his channel though he makes it so funny and entertaining at the same time.
Eddie's massive mass and strength is what saved him. Scott has the balance of insane strength to body mass and the skills to know how to handle the recoil. Not many shooters out there like him. Honestly Houston did extremely well. He's not that heavy or familiar with shooting rifles like this. Damn stout dude!
Absolutely, he stood stiff against the recoil instead of doing what you should, allow it to push you back and minimize energy transfer. It was hard to watch.
That and it looks like he's not fully pressing the rifle into his shoulder so it's literally flying back and punching his shoulder instead of being connected to it... then again the hardest hitting thing I've shot is 12ga I've never shot a rifle like this.
@@thelostcause7983 This was my first thought watching both Houston and Eddie Hall shooting. The gun should not travel without the body also moving. They are not pulling it tight.

I can't conquer the flinch if I do it 10,000 times, haha! I'm jealous. If it hurts, I'll flinch the third or fourth time (second if it's .500 S&W in a handgun). I'm pretty small (5'9", 150 lbs), and at this level, I think that's really a factor. I just don't have the mass to absorb that level of recoil before bones break, joints separate, or brains jostle around hard enough to matter. I've fired a bolt-action Barrett, it kicked about like my beloved .243s but the brake made it pretty disorienting. My light .300 WBY was the first gun I've ever shot that had a timer, haha! I can hit the first 4 times, then I'm going to flinch. My .44 Redhawk, maybe 5. I don't know how guys like Scott can power through it. I can know it won't hurt me all I want, I'll still jump when it hurts. I've shot a couple big rifles that hurt a lot, and I'm proud to say I put a .375 H&H in home plate despite the rifle (and my inexperience) breaking my nose, haha!
It's funny, this video got me thinking about all the boomsticks I've fired in the Army and as a civilian over the decades, and Scott talking about "push" vs "punch" for felt recoil is very true. Some weapons feel like a friend giving you playful pop while others are more like getting hammered by some drunk guy in the bar out of the blue. My M24 never bothered me in the slightest, even the M82 wasn't bad, but some hunting rifles left me feeling like I had just been assaulted and a couple of pistols were downright MEAN. It isn't even just the caliber of the weapon, it's how they're built and designed that can mitigate a mauling into a nice noogie. As much as I loved the ungainly beast that my .44 Desert Eagle was with 260 grain handloads, my .44 Ruger Redhawk was a joy to shoot compared to it. Another great video Scott, these collabs are turning into something really cool, keep it up brother! EDIT: Just wanted to say, the slow-mo is amazing, showing just how massive the recoil really is, and while it happens in an instant, slowed down to this level we can see just how much motion is imparted and the incredible impact imparted on the body. 0:40 this made my whole day right here 😂😂😂😂 got the shield and the camera!!!
I am seeing my Father for Thanksgiving and he loves your videos! I remember back in the day when he mentioned about holding a 10 gauge shotgun...but 4??!! Damnnn
This has to be my favorite collab that I have seen on TH-cam. I absolutely love all the videos that you two have done together! Most definitely need to have a collab with Eddie hall and the two of you. That would be amazing
4:37 😂 He wasn’t readyyyyyyyyyy!😂
Thank you for listening to my suggestion. I loved this 😂
Get Matt, Brandon, and Cody out there to do the same video it would be hilarious!😂🇺🇸
I'm pretty sure they'd dislocated something
Matt hates his 500 mag and that’s Scott’s favorite handgun.
Nice video as always Scott keep it up bro 🔥
PUNT GUN off the shoulder with Houston and Eddie!!! ❤🙏😮
Another great video brother. I would love to see Houston Vs The Beast. Keep up the great content and stay safe out there.
Scott has been killing it in the collab game recently.
Absolutely love seeing you guys together. Both of you keep up the good work
Almost a half of a million views in 11 hrs. Scott you are awesome! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That would be a great competition to have those two. Scott, thank you for your videos
The shoulder moment with the 4 bore actually looks pretty similar too the previous rounds but the big difference is the fact it pushed his whole upper torso back and physically pushed his entire body back to the point he almost stumbled backwards 😂
Absolutely love Houston Jones! Definitely need more collaborations with him 😂
I like how he even doesn't take the injury that almost KILLED him seriously.
?
His reaction and screaming affter every shot was wonderfull
Kevin heart next please
😂😂😂his arm would fly off his shoulder as fast as the bullet
The shockwave that went through him with the 4 bore was wild
That explosion.mp4 never gets old. Well done Scott.
Scott’s laugh on the last shot…😂😂😂 gets me every time 🙏🏽😂
I love how when scott gives a breakdown on the gun he blocks out houston as hes back there rethinking his life choices 😂
Absolutely love the t-shirt, I'm SO getting one!!! Then I can walk around with my chest out proud to be supporter of Kentucky Ballistics in England 🏴 Much love Scott... P.S you need to get both of them together that would be a great video...
these two are way too much fun to watch doing videos together.
Can not wait to see Eddy Hall and Houston Jones together, at who can shoot the most of any one of the guns; or all of the guns, in a rotation.
I love the videos with Houston, y'all are like two brothers getting into trouble at every turn.
My dad watches your channel
