      I really would like to see how it does against a charger RT should walk that fine scat pack should be close Camaro SS should be close but not near as close as the RT obviously. S550 should be close. Assuming they're all basically stock and that you're running your kill map at 400. Love to see you race an A10 on kill mode. Dig and 50 roll.

      Same question for how the powerbands compare in a road race.
      Be interesting how it does at a dedicated track. Willing to bet you've done some autocross. But would be way cooler to see how it does on a race track.

    gearing and engine displacement makes the difference. the VA needs an upgraded turbo to make up the differences

      Stock here too. (other than K&N and charcoal filter delete) Enjoying my warranty for a while and waiting for new mods to come out. No rush.

My transmission has seen a lot more action than his, and I can't believe his blew...but also I can believe it haha

      Lmao fuck a warranty. You shouldn’t let a piece of paper stop you from enjoying your car how you want. Quite frankly, you’re just never gonna end up doing the things you wanted to do waiting for your warranty. Not to mention your warranty isn’t just automatically voided. The dealership would have to prove that the mod is the reason why that part broke. Example, let’s say your stock struts blow, and you have an intake. Your suspension will still be covered.

    FA24 is a DAWG. Fa20s are great as well, but the power band on the fa24 is tuff.

    I only expected what I saw, the VB having better top end where the VA had the better low end. Simple science when you look at what displacement does for an engine

      No clutch slippage at all. 360hp I'm at about 405tq. Majority of my tunes have been about 400tq. Even my 93 tune is like 395tq.

    All I have to say is if that guy isn’t at 350ish on external wastegates he will always lose to you THE VA DOESNT COMPARE TO THE VB ONCE WASTEGATES ARE ON THE VA CHASSIS DUAL EWG WAKES UP THE FA20 to be able to hang neck to neck with the FA24 even on e60! Good shit tho

    The VB felt soulless when I test drove it vs my VA stock for stock. Now that your VB is modified how does it compare to the VA in the driving experience?

      What you're feeling on the VA is the incredibly bad stock tune. The turbo and torque and pushed down to 2000rpm with absolutely no power between 5000-6300rpm. A tune fixes that VA issue. The VB stock doesn't suffer from this as the power is placed between 3400-6000 rpm, much like the STi. The added displacement makes the boost rush less noticable and leads to a very linear power band. Both cars feel very similar tunes because the VA just mimics what the VB already does ( a sudden rush of boost at 3500 rpm giving you that throw back in seat feeling).

    You can actually see in this how the VB can use the whole powerband. The VA cannot.

      Yea that third and fourth on the VA is just so long. 5th is like a mountain. What's really where the difference lies with the transmission. VB bangs through the gears so you're always in a good powerband.

VB weighs about 70lbs more than the VA, similar power and close enough curb weights means they should be much closer if they were similarly geared. You can tell as soon as the VA grabs 4th the VB is just gone.

    Have you ever found out what was your problem loosing power or not feeling as it used to? I still feel the same with mine, Same tune but ever since i've got my Boost pipe blow off and threw a codes so I had to Reset ECU. The car never felt like it used to pull so hard. Also my Af learning 1 now are always -7 at idle and moving around a bit where before it used to always be 0. Tuner says all is looking good all but man that feeling sucks. Coming to a stop Afr shoot down to 12 and hold for 10-15 sec does yours do the same?

      That's not too bad. I think I still have that issue. tuners have kind of tuned around it because I couldn't figure it out. I actually want to put my car full stock one of these days ( at least the intake and inlet ) and see what happens. I have a feeling it's the inlet.

    Not a lot of people are talking about WTQ... we all know the block can handle 500whp but the drivetrain is the weak link here. There is a youtuber here who had his tranny blown at 400+wtq like after 10K miles. If you want to make big power on the VB, you NEED a STI transmission swap, after market clutch.

      He was up in the 450ish tq range. EVERYONE knows you shouldn't do that with the VB it VA transmission. That's Cody, he's a friend! Im not sure if he asked to go that high but it was definitely a mistake. In this video my tq is are 405. On E85 it's at 415 which is still a Scary figure but sometimes you just gotta send it a bit. Majority of .y racing the the car has been at between 370-400tq and I have a long history of racing.

      ​@@HeavyMetalWRX Yes we can all agree 450 is too high. The problem now is that there isn't enough history to confidently deem what that "safe" (I use that word loosely) number. Imo 400wtq is still too close for comfort if you dont have extra money for another tranny. That's all I'm saying.

      21ish on 93 and 19-20 on full Ethanol. I plan on doing a full overview of the ethanol tune with some draggy runs soon.

      I believe the VA is around 360ish , the VB is 410ish.

      The car is fully maintained and walnut blasted. Made 350ish earlier this year after replacing all wear and tear (spark plugs, oil, belts).

You just instantly had bus lengths on him. Well, guess that gearing and extra torque from the displacement would be hugely beneficial now that I think about it. I can’t wait for mid life cycle refresh, that’s when I plan to make the switch to the VB

      @@peeposadboy the VB has much shorter gears and a bit more torque ( it's 350ish in the VA vs 410ish on the VB). The shorter gear ratio means better use of the power and power and vs the VA. We know the VA has massively long gears. 3 4 5.
