    If you go to the junkyard, s10s and express vans have a flat PCM mount to keep it stationary in your glovebox.

    I have a similar engine ls3, I did the electrics as you have in the video. We programmed the computer and turned off the "vats system". Unfortunately, the engine did not start. High voltage comes to the spark plugs, but no impulse comes to the injectors. Maybe you can advise me what could be the reason. Diagnostics shows me the error P0315. The sensor is working. Thank you very much in advance

    Nice video and build! I’m currently working on an LS swap for my 70 Firebird and I’m trying to decide if I should keep my Turbo 400 transmission or go with a newer one. What do you recommend? I know the starter and oil filter are opposite of a Camaro, but since you’re doing this to a Lexus, I figured there’s hope for me.

    • @jasonhull5712
      @jasonhull5712 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The turbo 400 is a great transmission. The only one I would even consider over it would be a 4l80e, and it's much larger than the 400. It will come down to how much fabrication work you want to do, and how much benefit are you gaining.
      Personally with the LS I'd go with the 4L80E but I'm pretty handy with a multiple welders and have plenty of fab experience.

    • @raven69600
      @raven69600 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonhull5712 I’ve decided to go with the 4L60E. I’m going to keep the 400 on the sidelines. I’m not planning on going with a crazy amount of power yet, but incase I do I’m going to have the 400.

    • @jasonhull5712
      @jasonhull5712 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raven69600 I am building a 1970 Camaro and installed a 2013 LS3 with the TR6060 trans. I had to do some cutting on the tunnel to make it fit but nowadays there is so many adapters available in the aftermarket world that you don't have to do alot of fabrication. The TR6060 and the 4L80E are close in size. Check out BRP hotrods for a bunch of LS swap parts if you want to just buy it off a shelf.
      I bought the stainless steel long tube headers from them and the quality and craftsmanship is unlike anything else I've ever bought. I typically prefer to make it myself, but tried them out and was truly amazed by the ease of fitment and the quality. I also went back and bought the engine mounts and transmission cross member. It really is a bolt in swap for our 2nd gens.

    • @jasonhull5712
      @jasonhull5712 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raven69600 also consider the wiring aspect too. The 4L80E has the trans module installed inside the trans and it must match the ECM of the original engines or it won't work. Not a huge deal if you know about it up front and plan for it. The driveshaft is another key component. Something you can look into as well. Good luck with your project man.

    • @raven69600
      @raven69600 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonhull5712 so far the dimensions of the 4L80E are the same as my TH400, except the length, the latter is about 3” longer than my 400. The housing luckily is the same so I don’t need to cut anything. I was going to go with the 80E but then I noticed the size difference would cause me to have to cut the tunnel.

      I bought the same harness when the video was posted. Great harness with no issues whatsoever. Let me tell you that you DON'T need to spend $1000+ on a bunch of wires from an big name company. It's stupid to do so. You can make your own harness look pretty cause that's all you're really paying $1000+ for when you open your asshole wide for a bigger company lol
