Hey I have the same wiring harness. So the 5 pin is split 3 wires going to one connection and 2 wires go into another connector. It's for the setup that have that have the intake sensor separated from the MAF.
Where did you end up hooking the mil lamp light (brown wire) from the stand alone to? I'm trying to finish up my under dash wires and I'm getting mixed answers.
I'm going to do a l.s swap I got a 08 Chevy van I'm putting it in a 94 Chevy truck what gen is the 08 and it's d.b.w is it going to be difficult to put in the truck
I fought your same confusion with the same harness at the 17:00 minute mark. They wired the MAF for either 5 pin MAF or early gen 3 where the IAT and MAF are separate. If you note the 5 pin MAF wire colors are the same as the separate IAT and MAF plugs. Great video. Did you have any other anomalies with the wire harness? So far I can't find any problems with this harness out of the box like a lot of the china harness videos talk about from years past.
@@krustyclassicsgarage for sure thanks I went from a harness that my buddy made, to this one and it’s completely different lol I appreciate the insight
Can you use this same wire harness if you’re running a 700r4 transmission? In the process of doing a ls swap thanks to you I’ve been very successful and I appreciate your videos
For non electric transmission you can use a dbc harness that's set up for any transmission. You just don't use the transmission plugs. There are DBC for t56 transmissions on Amazon
If the two wires go to the big post of the starter, and I’m wiring this up to a switch panel with a push button, on the output side of the push button switch, does that go to the small post of the starter?

Hey brother question I have a 700r4 fully built less than 500 miles on it I wanna mate my 5.3 do I need a different harness or will that same harness work? Appreciate the video!
Harness comes with 2 red wires that go on the big lug of the starter and then the fuse block has a small red wire coming off of it and that goes to key on power. Make sure that key on power is also powered while cranking.
Hey man quick question with the red constant and start wire what did you wire that to I have a push button start would that wire into that if that makes sense
Is there any cheap harness that are better than others? Also, i know you go iver it, but the 3 wire maf sensor...you just buy an adapter harness to 5 wire correct? Because i cant find a cheap on that has a 5 pin maf.

Hey brother. I am doing my first swap. I bought a ls3 block cheap. Otherwise I'd be running a 6.0l. I am putting it in my 03' Crown Vic P71. I am still in the getting all the parts together stage. Do the Amazon harnesses last? I don't want to pay $1500 for a high end harness if it will last almost the same. I plan on keeping this car till I die. I am 47 so hopefully that'll be a while lol. I am eventually swap in a 6L80 or a CD Nissan 6 speed manual out of a Titan or a Xterra. They make conversion plates for the CD now. The A5 out of the Colorados don't handle big power.
Amazon harnesses are only for Gen 3 engines. An LS3 is a different animal and some sensors are in different spots and have different plugs. An LS3 has a different reluctor wheel. So, your best choice of harness would be the expensive holley terminator.
I am Def running DBC. I don't want to mess with the pedal and the pedal modual and all that. I want it to just be as simple as possible. And I just found on Amazon from ICT a 48" harness that runs to the timing cover for the cam sensor. I will have to get a 1x cam gear and sensor. But you have me exited to get mine going. You just saved me a ton of money. I appreciate it brother.
I bought a 05 5.3 with the ecm, guy didn't have the pedal to go with it. Can I buy a dbc throttle body and use it on the 05 intake and just get a new harness and computer? Thanks
Great video, thanks man. If I'm wanting to start with a TH350/Non-Electronic Transmission am I able to use the harness with the 4L60e connections and just leave them unhooked for now or will the ECU expect something if those wires exist? Was planning on starting with a th350 for now and then switching over potentially to the 4L60e down the road so it would be nice to only have to run the harness once.
@@krustyclassicsgarage Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at ECU's programmed to be used with the non-electric transmissions, just wasn't sure if the pinouts were still the same (just unused pins for the transmissions I guess when programmed that way?) so that I could use the same harness and just leave those wires disconnected. Any gen 3 ECU (P01 or P59) will do DBW, just flash it. The extra module is just an IO expander; it relays it's readings to the ECU, and only controls throttle based on ECU's commands.

TCC goes to a 4 prong brake and MIL goes to a light you put on the dash or somewhere to resemble a check engine light.

Yes. And small red wire coming from the swap harnesses fuse block
