    Man you pretty much have the best explanation on TH-cam regarding Cobb ots stage 1. I just installed mine yesterday and off the bat I was like, what happened to that punch that I usually feel at around 4000rpm, then gave it that WOT and man that put a smile on my face. Also, after driving nearly a year on the stock tune, the gas pedal will definitely take some time to get used to 😂

    Good take on the ap! I am ordering the map set up just because the map guys have answered my question like humans, not bots. The map crew have videos on installation, faq's, and they are generally cool dudes. They took something really good and made it better. Sometimes you can't improve on a good thing, but these guys really knocked it out of the park with their tunes! Cool video! For future, maybe show more clips of driving and gauges to kind of show people what you are talking about. Like the boost gauge maxxing out at like 50% throttle (i can hit 21 psi just normally accelerating) so yes, I know what you mean when you say the car FEELS like its trying to go faster than you want it to. Obviously Subaru is making quite a bit of power out of a 2.0, i mean, "268" is a lot for such a small engine. My v8, 5.3L truck is only a hair over 300, so they are extracting a ton of ponies out of such a compact engine, and leaving some on the table too!

      Nice Man! MAPERFORMANCE is a great company! I just installed their TMIC on the WRX perfect fitment and great customer service. Let me know how the car runs man! I just finished up getting an Etune with Phatbotti

      Much more smooth, compared to the oem tune were it feels like the car jumps from 0-50% throttle quickly

    I’ve got a 2008 wrx, and I get so confused because people always say the wrx loses power after 4,000 but that’s when my car puts you back in your seat. I’ve got an accessport on its way and I’m hoping it’s not already tuned to stage 1 because that would be a let down..

    So is the tune that requires no modifications and in the accessport is named stage1 93 v302?

    • @VEDEMRACING99
      @VEDEMRACING99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if you plan to run 93 gas

    • @VEDEMRACING99
      @VEDEMRACING99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can also go to the Cobb website and verify the tune

  • @diegooso1470
    @diegooso1470 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you actually need an access port in order to add aftermarket parts ?

    • @VEDEMRACING99
      @VEDEMRACING99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the parts your adding. All parts benefit from a custom tune via the accessport, but not all require it.

      VEDEM RACING sorry but im new to like new cars i guess and i own a wrx 2015 and in my old Z 08 i didnt need tune to add exhasut cold air and all that
      Would it damage anything in my car if i added that ti my wrx without a tune ?

    • @VEDEMRACING99
      @VEDEMRACING99  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With a cat back exhaust you would be fine without a tune. Honestly I would avoid intakes on WRXs. A lot of WRX owners that install intakes run into issues and the stock intake is good enough for 400hp. But anymore than a Catback without a tune could cause engine damage, plus without a tune sometimes the car won’t run as good
