How do I get my hands on the motor mounts your used? Also did you have to cut the car up? I have a 996 with no motor or trans I bought it for 6900 last month. If you can point me in the right direction to get the kit you used or if you can send me designs Id be a happy to pay :)
Were you able to log data, to see if the cam timing was bouncing around? Also, I wonder if the waviness was the boost controller trying to hold back the turbo? Anyway, she looks like a ripper! 👍
I'm confused how Luke is tuning the VTEC, to my knowledge you do two pulls, one VTEC on one VTEC off, where the two power curves intersect is where you should set VTEC to engage, this is the most efficient and most power available throughout the entire rev range

Nevertheless the internet is full of idiots so I understand how you drew your conclusions.
@@evoluke1069You're 100% correct. You tune the low cam and high cam first, then you'll see where the ideal crossover is. You may need to tune VTC a bit around the crossover to make the transition smooth.
So just to put you guys in the picture Luke is doing something most tuners (because they aren't so good or don't care) is he's turned the smoothing off which you can see in the video, if he left it on it would have looked fine and he could say he had done a great job but instead he wants to really see what's going on and tune it properly. Unfortunately (or probably fortunately) this has highlighted a problem which he is struggling to fix with the tune which suggests the problem is mechanical. Also you can't "stand up" a big turbo down low, simply if there isn't enough exhaust gas then it won't spool, yes you can play with timing but you will dramatically loose power and detrimentally increase EGTs all trying to get a big turbo to spool a few hundred rpm sooner. It's not worth it, a big turbo spools when it spools. Also, it's low down torque that bends rods and this is a stock k24 bottom end, not a good idea to make the boost come in sooner really.
Please let me know when the kit is ready, I got a 2000 996 teptronic where like to used like that teptronic, I have afew option like 2.4 Toyota Tacoma òr S2000 engine , I love the power band os S2000,I am in Brandon fl ì work for LkQ,what ever you need please let me know, is amazing what you need

Try a smaller turbo exhaust housing
It's that easy, just bolt a smaller housing over the same size turbine...
