YES!!!! I've avoided tracking my 996 because replacement M96s are terrifyingly expensive. LSs look a bit snug for my liking. This seems like an incredible option!
Don’t be scared. Blow it up and then come to the dark side. Both LS and K series are proven to be fantastic motors in their own right. I’m obviously bias so come join me 😂
Awesome!!!! 🎉 man can we get just a driving vid. Cruising around. Down shifting just like what a daily driver would with this car. A little of spirited driving I guess lol.
I like your idea. The K series has a bit of legendary status. With kits like this it could become a monster for you. I have a 986s that I'm not willing to refresh. Just a poor engine design. Especially for spirted cornering. 😂 Love the feel of the Boxster. It makes anyone look like a driver. 😎
I was thinking that the Subaru WRX STI motor would fit and be close to the original design. I don't think we can do much here in California with the Smog Gestapo.
@@baysidefabrication I have a 99 Boxster collecting dust that you can use if you deal with shipping. Eventually I'd like it back, once there's a kit available, of course 🙂
This seems like a dumb question. Were you able to drop the engine in your garage without a 2 post lift? Installing one is the only stopping me from taking on a project like this.
Great video! i have question about my porsche 930 and i was thinking if I use a 996 or 997 manual transaxle for a kswap project. G50 transaxle are hard to find and expensive. can you suggest me what would be the best transaxle to use that can fit on my 930 chassis.thanks in advance

There's a guy on Rennlist who swapped a GM 3800 V6 into a 996. It fits with room to spare. The stock bottom end can handle about 400 HP. Just an idea.
@@michaelblacktreea stock k20 or k24 can hold 500-600 bhp, is more fuel efficient, and makes a better noise.
cool story bro
@@michaelblacktree There are people who put garbage motors in everything. Why is that relevant here? The K series is a 1000 times better option.
Congratulations on the new kid! Family always comes first.
Congratulations on the baby 🎉
Will be interesting to see the difference between this kit and the one by Tuning by Nick for the 997.
Welcome back. I've been waiting for some content.

I need a friend to film it 😂

Congrats!! Hope you come out to an event someday, I want to see it in person one day. Have a great new year!
Keep at it you are an amazing fabricator/builder!
This is a my new project I will be ordering a kit soon.

I need the mid engine version, Nick is taking forever. Lol, love you Nick, J/K
Send me a 987 chassis

Offer stands! Nice and close by in Phoenix...
I totally understand about priorities. I had to put youtube on the back burner, as well.
Well done! This is awesome!
good stuff my man. And congrats on your new kiddo.
Incredible job!
Is it compatible with K20?
I have EP3 TypeR K20 engine and looking for a 996 with scored/IMS-exploded engine.
Hey welcome back!
That thumbnail image looks dope
It’s very hard to make the ass end of a 911 look bad 😂 I take no credit
Great, now I need a Porsche.
Yes you do!!!
this is great. what are you doing for wiring and computer for the engine and interior gauges
Great content thanks for sharing. Good luck with your future endeavors
Would the lower cross member fit the 986 boxter?
fit on engine k24z7/z3?

So can a stock Acura TSX engine be directly installed and can the exhaust be routed underneath?
Will this work on an automated?
What about bell housing adapter plate
Kennedy Engineering products has that well sorted out already and is who I use.
Does that adapter work on 944s?
that's awesome. a lot of folks would love to drive a porsche without the porsche engine pricetag
Yeah man. Porsche prices are insane. Legit $15-$18k to rebuild the stock motor so they say.
I have an automatic all wheel drive is this still an option its a 2002 911 S4
Can this work with a pdk? Or does it need to be a manual?
Planning to sell the 911 like the z3 now that you've got the kit figured out?
More than likley. I have another shell sitting in my trailer that I have a built motor waiting for.
the last 2.5 mins is black screen. Just incase you were not aware
I was not. Definitely a upload glitch.
