Greetings from North Carolina, I am in the business caring for seniors. I have transportation as an additional service, both of you are just amazing. You are flight attendants on WHEELS. WISHING YOU BOTH INCREDIBLE SUCCESS ❤🎉
Thank you! Yes, there is a list of required items for each vehicle. We have a detailed list available for purchase on our website. If you plan to contract with an outside agency, they may also have their own list of items that need to be placed in your vehicles.
Thanks for the tour! On the next video, can y’all demo how you load and buckle in a wheelchair patient? Love your content and I appreciate what you do for you the NEMT community
Hi ladiess.. thank you for all you do… just about to Start an NEmT business in Los Angeles area, can you pls provide an info about the approved vehicles or required vehicle to start? Tia.
Hi ladies, and thank you so much again for the huge contribution that you are making in giving us all these tips. I hope this is not a silly question but can you have with the van that let’s say seats six passengers or eight passengers like the one you have there, can you have more than, one client at a time in the van like picking up clients on a route
No question is a silly question girly. Loading multiple passengers in your vehicle is possible, but it depends on the contract terms. Some contracts have restrictions on multi-loading; for example, during COVID-19, we were unable to load our vehicle fully. Also, some contracts limit the number of passengers to two or three at a time.
Quick question: are there restrictions to van used (like electric vs fuel?) Will DOT medicare/medicaid inspect and require certain specific companies to do the ramp install or can I hire an EV mechanic and be approved as long as safe and functional per the inspection guidelines? My issue is that the Braunability vendors have no EV installations and this is a limiting factor.
I haven’t seen any restrictions on the use of electric vehicles. If any regulations exist, they’re likely on a local level, based on the preferences of the organization you’re contracting with. If you plan to become a vendor with your state’s Medicaid department, they will conduct a vehicle inspection to ensure it’s in proper working condition for transporting recipients. As for ramp installation, you’ll just need to ensure that the ramp meets ADA requirements.
@@Mjbusinessacademy does the ramp have to be electric for ADA compliance? Considering the Braun folding now due to the electric vehicle - Braun vehicle install saga. Im now three months delayed due to these things and lack of transparency w the vendor, regulations.
Great video! I’m in the process of shopping for a van for my NEMT company. I know pricing is everything and it’s a huge investment for my business with getting started. Is there a certain amount of mileage you would recommend staying under with getting a starter van? Thank you in advance

Did you buy it new?
How much did that van cost?
cost of the conversation, please? great service guys
15-25k
Is it cheaper to buy and convert or buy already ready to go?
Typically less expensive to purchase with the equipment already in the van. Unless you have the vehicle already and it on needs the conversion.
Did you ladies purchase the van already wheelchair equipped or did you have it added in? Thanks
The conversion was complete at the time of purchase.
How did you ladies choose your vans based on miles, price, color , make/model
I would say miles, price, and color. When searching for our vehicles we knew exactly what we were looking for.
are you guys hiring in irvine or costamesa area

Full cut means?
The floor of the van is lowered throughout the length of the passenger compartment, typically from the front seating area all the way to the rear.

We decided no more than 50,000. However, we also suggest you get the van thoroughly inspected prior to purchasing If you plan to purchase used.
@@Mjbusinessacademy thank you!
30K is that what you paid for it?
@@uh5jg We paid a little over 30,000 for our Wheelchair accessible vehicles.
