I am so glad I came across you all. I am currently caring for both of my parents in their 80's, ( my father just recently diagnosed with cancer)and also caring for my older brother whom is quadriplegic. Our wheelchair van is on its last leg and with all three of them needing this kind of transportation, I'm working on getting another that is reliable. We are in a smaller area and there is no NEMT service available to the public, so there have been times I couldn't get them to their appointments. The service you all provide is so needed, and I am gathering as much information as I can, because this is looking more and more like what I will be doing in the future. I am so grateful for the time and energy you put into teaching the rest of us what it takes, what is needed, and how to navigate certain aspects of the business. ❤

Medical and medicare will not give you trips directly.You will need to find your own clients or work directly with transportation brokers to provide service to medical clients.

Absolutely, it’s recommended however when your just starting out it maybe difficult to get private pay clients. You will need to work at building your book of clients.
That’s a great question. My guess is you would need a brokerage license to begin. That’s not something you’ve ventured into but I would assume you would need one.
These types of videos is wats killing the nemt industry. There's only more n more competition poppin up. The brokers have more vendors to choose from meaning other vendors have to keep going lower n lower on their prices until there's no profit to be made anymore. That's kinda where I'm at with my business. Everybody wants to start a nemt business.... good luck!
@@misssy891 I’m sorry you feel that way. I can assure you that if you ask seniors in your community or case managers about transportation options, many would say there aren’t enough. From your message, it seems like you only work with brokers, which limits the growth of your business. I encourage you to explore other referral sources beyond brokers to help scale your operations.
It's not very rare that areas are saturated when I started in this business in our local community we had two Transportation providers 12 years later we have 14 we have 14 different people coming into the county doing trips and nobody let me tell you this nobody is making any money
