If I have a broker do i still have to register with medicaid, because if they do all the billing that means the broker would pay my company right or wrong.
If your state allows you to bill Medicaid directly, it is always better to have the ability to bill directly. The broker will pay your company, however at a reduced rate than Medicaid pays out directly. Great question‼️
If i register with medicaid they will give me direct calls and I will bill them myself, sorry I am just starting out and want to know all my options, and thank you very much for all your help.
@@mayraoquendo9973 if you bill through Medicaid you can now bill clients medicaid directly when they call you. In most cases, the client will reach out and ask if you accept Medicaid. Medicaid will not give you trips directly unless working with a broker.

Thank you for this valuable informative sister!! Ive worked for a nemt company for a few years and i love it! Looking to get int nemt brokerage/transportation management for small nemt companies, info on this seems to be scarce, please suggest how and where to start, ive been looking into software as well. Ty!
This is an awesome question. Video worthy! Both are great opportunities. You really would need to conduct a swot analysis to compare and contrast the benefits of each for your unique situation. I recently had a client ask the same thing. In her case, I suggested she go with the business that she had a true passion for. In business, you always want to create something that you enjoy and find rewarding. Otherwise, you really won’t invest everything you need to (time, money, and patience) develop your business plan and effectively execute. My overall recommendation: 1. Perform a SWOT Analysis 2. Choose the business that is your true calling.
Hello, simply do a google search. “NEMT Brokers in (your state) “ the major brokers will be right there Modivcare, MTM, Verida etc. In larger NEMT Dominate states like Florida and Texas, you may find minor brokers also with a google search. We are in direct competition with the brokers I've been in the medical transportation business for almost 15 years now the Brokers have got their own Vehicles their own drivers the Brokers get the best and most profitable trips and we providers get the scraps very very unethical if you ask me
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I believe that is based on your area. When we are talking state Medicaid brokered contracts such as Modivcare, and MTM, they subcontract out to NEMT Providers. Unfortunately, many NEMT Entrepreneurs are unaware that they are subcontractors. My aim is to teach NEMT Entrepreneurs techniques to make informed decisions on contracting opportunities. If you need help with anything let me know. Be Blessed🙏🏽
⭐️⭐️⭐️ In addition, there are so many other types of local, state, and federal contracting opportunities that can be awarded, once a provider has experience with a broker. The goal is to grow your business outside of a broker. They are a stepping stone and should be utilized accordingly.
