Thinkdiag 2, found that you can use only on 5 manufacturers with this 1 year subscription, is this real? What about the other ones, if I need them, I have to rebuy for other manufacturers? Great video btw ;), regards

Hi S! Scanners typically do not have the ability to adjust timing as this is normally a mechanical feature requiring physical adjustment. However a scanner could potentially be used to confirm current timing or if the timing is being adjusted by looking at the PID data that relates to timing (usually inside ECM in the scanner menu). So while this scanner does support access to the ECM actually being able to activate, learn a specific component or read a particular PID varies from vehicle to vehicle (vehicles have different levels of control, some allow you to access more things than others) Thinkdiag does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Hi V! Nope the capabilities are similar, however as explained on the video, there are vehicles that cannot be accessed (advanced service functions) if they need CAN FD (which is not support by Thinkdiag 1 but supported by Thinkdiag 2). Additionally related to this as mentioned there are some additional vehicles on Thinkdiag 2 that are not on Thinkdiag 1. Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!

Hi M! Yes while the scanner supports IMMO access being able to add a key will depend on how many keys you have, if your car requires a new pin code, if you are adding a new key fob or a used one etc. In some cases a dedicated IMMO tool will also be needed if you are trying to re-use a previously assigned key fob where you need to make it "virgin" again using the dedicated IMMO tool, or if you are trying to clone a key outside of the vehicle (and other locksmith level functions). Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!
Hi Joey! The Thinkdiag 2 does supports IMMO (you can see that function around the 3:55 mark) but the ability to add a key to your car will depend on the type of key (there are different transponders and frequencies), the year and model of the car etc. Also remember some cars allow you to reuse non virgin keys, and other cars won't (but this can sometimes be bypassed by a dedicated IMMO tool that can make a key virgin again). Regarding EU cars, yes, there is coverage as shown around the 8:20 mark where I cover the supported car brands. Cheers!

Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!
@AlexAutoFun .Thank you very much .
@manusudha4269 You're welcome!
Great moustache bro
Thanks man!
Is it possible to change mileage with Thinkdiag tools?
it is illegal
@@khvichakhmelidze5270 I asked if it is possible not it is or isn't legal.
can it do immo keys/fobs? does it work on European cars? does it have topology?
Cheers!
Hello Buddy, you just gained a new sub! Do you know any scanner that would work with a Trumpchi/GAC GS8? It seems like ThinkDiag 1 or 2 doesnt support it
Welcome to the channel Israel! Ah yes this one supports Trumpchi th-cam.com/video/XtsESLy9Zmo/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Great video.
Thank you Marcus!
Can be activated? As in subscription model? No thanks.
Hi J! Most bidirectional scanners require subscription however, I cover this in more detail on this on my review for the Thinkdiag 1 here th-cam.com/video/Yy21TsscA_c/w-d-xo.html And here is a good alternative if you want one with free updates th-cam.com/video/Pk88Jbge1p8/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
what about xtool ?
Hi D! Ah yes here you go th-cam.com/video/TiLQYqwKq6A/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/97CUmA_B4RY/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Does it work with bmw?
HI D! You can see if your vehicle brand is supported when I go over vehicle coverage around the 8:00 mark. Cheers!
sir this model ican use indian vehicle
Hi M! You can check if your vehicle Make is included in the vehicle coverage list at the 8:00 mark. Cheers!
Hi I wonder if it work on 2015 mercedes ML350 air suspension reset and diagnose. thanks.
Hi Cecilia! Yes the scanner does support access to the suspension module, however actually being able to reset or relearn a specific component varies from vehicle to vehicle (vehicles have different levels of control) Thinkcar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Hola amigo!
They removed all my details including my email because I didn't renew my subscription. NOW it's useless as I didn't know that the one time activation codes a one time thing. If u lose it that's it.
Hi slowmo! Once the subscription expires, you can still access all functions for that vehicle model that was selected at the start (The main difference is that you will no longer receive updates) Here is my video where I explain this in more detail th-cam.com/video/Q3lnh7vYwVw/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Yes you are right. Thank you for your help.
@@SloMo-rk5pv You're welcome, Cheers friend!
Is thinkdiag 2 100% premium?
Hi Eric! "Premium" is usually a marketing term. If you see that term being used, it rarely has meaning, looks for features and how well some is made (and in the case of food products, the source). Cheers!
Saludos...

Whats the difference between the think-stash between the think-stash 2. Bwahahah
LOL!
😂 ok. stache-piece.
LOL!
Not a good tool😅😅
Hi Pedro! So far the tool has worked well for me (the video shows only a portion of it capabilities, but remember a tool is only as good as the person using it is, so a skilled mechanic will be able to take full advantage of it's capabilities) And I have more scanner reviews on my channel in the playlist "OBD2 Scanner Reviews" if you like to try a different one. Cheers!
That’s the worst tool to buy
Hi Carlos! I have more scanner reviews on my channel in the playlist "OBD2 Scanner Reviews" if you like to compare them. Cheers!
And why? Explain yourself, when you are saying that.
@@OldboyWOWwaiting for the same thing. 😂
hi can you download all functions and cars with this or need to pay for more than 1?
Hi Jing! Yes, the Thinkdiag 2 supports all functions for all vehicles included for 1 year. Cheers!

Hi Jing! Sorry I was confusing the Thinkdiag with the Thinkdiag 2, I have updated the prior comment for you. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I decided to buy one today for my Volvo 2016 xc60 and it's very good. I like it alot and the possibility it had to flash it after a year and use with another program such as x431 based. Very happy. Thank you for all your hard work.
