    I am a retired avionics mech and you remind me of me teaching the kids avionics. These cars actually are trouble shot like we do on aircraft. I am focusing on DIY scanners now as a hobby because I don't have a F-35 to teach stuff anymore. I want to encourage you to keep teaching us about your tricks. You're very good at explaining things, a gift. God bless 🙏

      Thank you for watching. It depends on the vehicle. Pin 2 is VPWJ1850 GM&Chrysler, Pins 2&10 PWMJ1850 Ford, 6&14 CAN Most 2008 and newer, Pin 7&15 can be either ISO 9141-2 or KWP. With lots of practice you'll know what protocol to select with using auto.

      @@MasterAutomotiveTraining First I want to say I really enjoy your channel. So many things to learn from it. I don't think I can recomend any particular dongle since there are so many out there. Plus I'm fairly new to anything having to do with OBD. Prices vary widely (from the sub $20 to $99) depending on the wireless or wired connections. Amazon carries Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB corded dongles. Bluetooth I think the type most purchased. From what I've seen you can't go wrong with a dongle that says it has the ELM327 programmed microcontroller command protocol.

      PID 03 is loop status. It's not up to the scanner it's up to the manufacturer to show OL-Drive, however after 2008 id say about 99% will show OL-Drive instead of OL and CL. Hope this helps buddy.

    Yeah, I got a 2013 Chrysler 200 limited edition with a 3.6L six speed automatic popped up a PO430 PO 117 a P1424. The one that concerns me is the P1424 and then the red lightning bolt on the dash come on and then the car wouldn’t start. It had spark everything it would crank over said bank B sensor low-voltage I checked it. The plug wasn’t plugged all the way in now there’s a coolant leak at the oil filter housing unit just underneath where the oil filter goes in

    How about a hybrid with so many history codes your scan tool can’t read them?
    I have a GWM HAVAL H6 HEV with over 200 codes all history.
    VEHICLE DRIVES 26km then feels like a misfire or disconnect and looses all power. No indicators no hazards no HUT no fault light on the dash or EML on, but, there’s a rake of history codes all relating to communication. Too many to actually find a starting point!

    Good video, but please tone it down or at least define the words you are using and you will get a lot more audience following what you are saying. For example, in your first sentence you use the word "PID" and unless I go elsewhere to look that up I am confused for the remaining 11 minutes of the video. Picoscope? Yes, I got it that "PID" is also in the title, but it's just an example.

    • @MasterAutomotiveTraining
      @MasterAutomotiveTraining  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      PID is Parameter Identification Data (live data). I am probably one of the most toned down instructors on YT, I can say that my videos are made for technicians and as such I use terminology that is known to the industry. If you are a DIYer, thats possibly where the confusion comes in. I also mention live data in the description referring to PIDs. Hope info was useful besides the terminology confusion.
