Something like 98% of the world's troubles is because of the disposable economy. There is too much money to be made that way, so they will never change. We don't have much choice because that is all you can find unless you have a guy like this pushing back.

After 30 years in repairing radios and satellite phones and a variety of other comms devices I just love watching you doing these repairs. You are a master thats for sure. I wish though some of this gear you use to assist in detection and repair was available 30 years ago..even 10 years ago. I am retired from the comms game now but I love this channel

Southern California, is pretty much dry desert with little rain year round. I say this as a fellow Californian living in SoCal. Thumbs up for caring about others. 👍

Just received my NF.V2 mini grinding pen. Pure class, just like the mini soldering iron. Only thing missing but not really necessary would be an instruction sheet to explain leds. Works really well, just as precise as Alex demonstrates.

Alex, we all love seeing you do videos, obviously, but any chance Big Boss can do a repair video for the channel? Would love to see him go through his checks, then take apart an Asus laptop (which he probably has done a million of), then reassemble and test. I am sure he has his own style for videos, so however he wants to do it would be awesome. Thanks for all the great work!

Why can you not live by me 😭😭I stopped taking electronics to local repair shops because they either fuck it up more or tell me it can't be fixed.. I tested two places with an Xbox with a loose ribbon cable and both told me it was fully dead and tried to charge me. I showed them the issue and got banned from one of the places. the other actually offered me a job, but I wouldn't work there if you paid me triple hours. Please, please keep doing what you're doing. you are a dying breed to those just wanting money for nothing.

What I always find surprising is that people have absolutely no shame sending in their filthy devices for repair without as much as wiping them clean first. Look at the state of this laptop in the shot from Big Boss' desk at the end of the video - absolutely disgusting.
Alex, just like you have a no-fix fee you should probably add a health-hazard fee to your terms and conditions as well.

  • @SirSmilie

maybe this has been asked and answered before but how do you get so many donor boards? Do you ask the customers of the "No Fix"'s if you can keep the item and they sell it to you for a small fee or do they just let you hold at no charge because they dont want it back?

trouble with gaming laptops today is there packing too many high ends components into a small compact space, i find sticking to the mid range stuff tends to have very little issues, asus tuf laptop i have has gone so well for 2 years with the gtx 1660 no issues what so ever.
it is a regular name that pops up for repair but i guess some are lucky some not.
