I am considering buying a new phone. I am used to Android, but i feel tempted to try iphone 16, however, the Samsung s24 price is the same. What would you choose?
If you're not into customization or freedom to do whatever you want with your phone, then iOS may be suitable for you. But if customization and freedom important to you, then stick with Samsung. That's the difference between iPhone and Androids, basically in iPhone you're limited on what you can do to your phone while on Android you can do almost anything that you want on your phone. As for me that enjoys the freedom of what I can do to my phone, iPhone's limiting the user is a drawback to me but I'm open to new experience though
I love the size of the 15PM, I really wish they had kept the same size. I don’t want to get a pro because that’s too small. Might hold onto the 15PM for longer, it’s such a nice and light phone for the size.

If you’re going to spend the money on a phone and you’re an Apple fan, it’s a simple choice if you have smaller hands then maybe the pro but if you’re not big enough hands, the promax is a way to go. You can make it a long-term investment and have something That will capture memories with great quality. And who knows it could even become your living

Lack of pro-motion is a big issue with the 16, especially if you’ve used a pro iPhone before and have experienced the buttery smooth scrolling. No idea why Apple didn’t include this on the 16.
I prefer the "Motorola Razr+" because of its size. I wish Apple would return to a smaller size choice like the iPhone 4 while retaining all of the smarts of the iPhone 16. I'm not a fan of huge iPhones :)
If you are an apple sheep no matter what you are gonna get a pro. I’m a huge apple sheep. I tried the 16 plus the 60hz got me and I just felt weird having a base model (I know I know) so I returned it and got the pro. Cause I’m a huge apple nerd. That’s me
Great video! The iPhone 16 looks like a great buy for average consumers. I will say that I AM happy for the 6.9" screen on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I'm hoping Apple doesn't listen to the haters and keeps this size for the iPhone 17 Pro Max when I plan on upgrading.
Tim Cook out if iphone 17 looks the same as well !!!! We need phones with no pill cutouts , stacked battery tech with at least more than a day of battery life,48MP on all 3 lenses , micro led display and then thinner iPhone like X and 11 or may be a different segment like air with less camera features but with 120hz display and scarp that plus or mini models !!!!
i honestly just feel like it's insulting to pay for the 16 pro when they haven't really changed the design or (seriously, noticeable) specs. i feel like the 16 plus gives you... just about everything. good battery, decent charging, same camera (minus zoom), and BASICALLY the same performance in every day use. You don't need the pro to play candy crush. The 60hz is insulting, and android has offered 120hz for years even in budget phones. but again... noticeable? super noticeable? no... that's really my only gripe though. nothing should be 60hz. i'll be getting the plus.
I’ve been a fan of Apple for 45 years now, and I’ve picked up every iPhone since the launch of the original. Recently, I’ve been feeling the product is getting, errr, blasé? Here’s a thought: with the differences between the mainstream iPhone vs. iPhone pro models dwindling in the last couple of years, perhaps it’s time for Apple to retire the pro models and concentrate on just one mainstream iPhone (with different sizes). For those users who’d actually demand the “pro” features (4K slow-motion, LIDAR, …), then relegate such features to an optional accessory that attaches to the iPhone (perhaps even make it double up as MagSafe powerbank, with an SD slot for mass storage?). Better yet: develop it in collaboration with an established accessory / camera maker. Afterwards Apple may explore other more meaningful branches of the iPhone line, including the entry level SE, the rumored “Air”, foldable … etc.
No more dongles. No software discrimination. Two different sizes and that’s it. They have the old ones for that. They are trying validate having a new one every year. Unless you’re gonna make actual difference in hardware and design just make the parts modular reduce your footprint at this point.
The stupid camera control button doesn’t open the camera app in locked mode with only one press. Need to do it twice. If the phone is unlocked you only need to press once. So, you have to know if the phone is locked or unlocked every time you use the button.
I feel like the pro vs reuglar iphone debate would be more compelling if it weren't for the pricing structure. I mean, the regular iPhones are far from the everyman phones; they are close to $1000. I feel like a lot of people try to appeal to the economically conscious by saying things like "the regular is all you need" and "there isn't THAT much difference" but in reality, you're paying close to at least $1000 no matter which way you go. Apple wins either way though.
People in comments aren't realising that pro will always be better than base models but the base 16 feels like a large upgrade from base 15 in comparison to the upgrade to 16 pro from 15 pro you get a newer chip, slimmer bezels and a better battery new unnecessary button , larger screen which isn't enough for someone to upgrade in 1 year but 16 has 8 gb ram 2 years newer processor action button and obv unnecessary camera control and slimmer bezels and better battery and most importantly support to apple intelligence no one is saying 16 is better than 16 pro but 16 is much better than 15 but 16 pro is as much better than 15 pro and tbh 60 hz is not as bad as people say you'll see the difference but trust me you wouldn't care after 10-15 days 60 hz is anything but laggy like people say and there is no other important difference for a normal human
@@ThunderGaming-js4dw It's heavy and there's not that much difference. I'm not much into photos or extreme use. I was thinking about buying the ultra watch so I wouldn't depend so much on the cell phone and leave it at home at least when i goes out.

I personally wouldn't mind if they created a note-esque model. Make it 7.1 and make FULL use of whatever desktop class processor in it and i will buy it. I think 7.1---MAYBE 7.3 at max---will be the sweet spot for true pro users. Granted they add true pro features to justify creating such a beast. Basically, more and more people like using their phones as their main computing device and creating such a thing will certainly scratch an itch. Albeit cannibalize some of their current offerings. It can work if Apple gets rid of their cheaper iPad products and stick with only the pros. Or totally get rid of their all their MacBooks and only keep but one, the Max or Ultra version, and give their iPads duel booting functionality when attached to the keyboard. But, hey, I'm no market analyst.
first of all 16 pro is really nince but not worth it but the 120hz i need that after 13 pro. nice phone if new to dynamic island will love it, too bad ai is so late.,... legit newest feature, and the camera capture good when u adjust settings, really in love witth the white one

I am considering buying a new phone. I am used to Android, but i feel tempted to try iphone 16, however, the Samsung s24 price is the same.
What would you choose?
Only you can make this decision. Though, what do you want from the phone experience?
It comes down to do you want to try iOS to switch things up or continue being on android where ur used to it?
I have a 12 pro max and have been trying to decide which 16 to upgrade to. This was very helpful!
I was waiting for someone to do this comparison.
I still haven’t ruled out getting the 15 Pro (not overly excited by the camera button, up to now), but will wait and see what the differences are when AI and extra camera button functionality get rolled out.
Thanks for the content.
Some ppl are just never happy 😂😂😂 I love my iPhone 16 pro max.
💯
I love the big 6.9 screen
Mine arrives tomorrow, upgrading from a standard 13. Looking forward to my pocket iPad lol
@@joh2434 Did you get it yet?
@@Flatbushgirl1003 Should have went 6.10
I have an iPhone 16 as my secondary phone with its own line and a Pixel 9 daily driver. The iPhone is 60hz the Pixel is set to 120hz. It doesn't bother me to use the phones despite their different refresh rates.
120Hz eats into battery life.
Same here ,iPhone 16 pm and 14Plus ! 120hz and 60hz didn’t bother me
I swapped my Pixel 8 for a $350 Nothing phone 2A which has a far better display.
does the regular 16 have always on display?
4:17 greg is just randomly inside the tree send me crying hahahaha
Always on screen is worth it. The nicer paint job is a trap
wow, just now? lmao....samsung got that since 2008
Is there any difference in the picture quality taken from the main camera between the iPhone 16 and the 16 pro?
If you’re going to spend the money on a phone and you’re an Apple fan, it’s a simple choice if you have smaller hands then maybe the pro but if you’re not big enough hands, the promax is a way to go. You can make it a long-term investment and have something That will capture memories with great quality. And who knows it could even become your living
Thanks bro I’m gonna change my 256GB pro for the regular 128GB 16. ¿Why? Cause I’m regular guy I’m not a guy that take picture outside or do special picture i gonna go for the 16 and the ultra watch.
For regular use 16 is more than enough.
Guys let’s stop acting like 227 grams is a lot… if this is hurting your hands fingers whatever go do some finger exercises please smh
Obviously you don’t own a road bike. 😂
@ I actually do I just make sure to wear pants with long enough pockets or a sweater/ hoodie that does the trick to
60hz refresh rate for the price is EVIL
Lack of pro-motion is a big issue with the 16, especially if you’ve used a pro iPhone before and have experienced the buttery smooth scrolling. No idea why Apple didn’t include this on the 16.
Great review. Convinced me that the 16 will be best for my sister
After fully watching this video ima still get the 16 pro max .
Thank you for the video brother! Very helpful! Greetings from Europe
Going from a 14 Pro Max to 16 Plus (I love the 16 plus)
Have u had any problems with it? And how good is the battery life/camera?
I prefer the "Motorola Razr+" because of its size. I wish Apple would return to a smaller size choice like the iPhone 4 while retaining all of the smarts of the iPhone 16. I'm not a fan of huge iPhones :)
1:30 paying overly inflated price for same or often worse service - yeah this statement is ironic with the release of the 16
If you are an apple sheep no matter what you are gonna get a pro. I’m a huge apple sheep. I tried the 16 plus the 60hz got me and I just felt weird having a base model (I know I know) so I returned it and got the pro. Cause I’m a huge apple nerd. That’s me
loser
Great comparison Greg!
What a correct line used for the max bro 👏
This video was soo helpful, thank you!
Color doesn't matter when you use an Otter case, which I do.
Thanks for the great content….
i honestly just feel like it's insulting to pay for the 16 pro when they haven't really changed the design or (seriously, noticeable) specs. i feel like the 16 plus gives you... just about everything. good battery, decent charging, same camera (minus zoom), and BASICALLY the same performance in every day use. You don't need the pro to play candy crush. The 60hz is insulting, and android has offered 120hz for years even in budget phones. but again... noticeable? super noticeable? no... that's really my only gripe though. nothing should be 60hz. i'll be getting the plus.
8:54 is this the pro max compared to the normal 16
iphone 16 has 60hz screen and I just can't use it, it causes nausea for me
I’ve been a fan of Apple for 45 years now, and I’ve picked up every iPhone since the launch of the original.
Pro has a bigger sensor size, which makes for a significant difference when shooting video in low light
MONEY IS THEIR GOD.
I always get the pro and this year I got the 16 base and I’m pleased I did I’m really happy with it
Is the pro max alot bigger then the samsung s22 ultra?
Ultra has a 6.8 inch screen
No, max has 6.9 in display. You wouldn’t want to swap over just for that.
People in comments aren't realising that pro will always be better than base models but the base 16 feels like a large upgrade from base 15 in comparison to the upgrade to 16 pro from 15 pro you get a newer chip, slimmer bezels and a better battery new unnecessary button , larger screen which isn't enough for someone to upgrade in 1 year but 16 has 8 gb ram 2 years newer processor action button and obv unnecessary camera control and slimmer bezels and better battery and most importantly support to apple intelligence no one is saying 16 is better than 16 pro but 16 is much better than 15 but 16 pro is as much better than 15 pro and tbh 60 hz is not as bad as people say you'll see the difference but trust me you wouldn't care after 10-15 days 60 hz is anything but laggy like people say and there is no other important difference for a normal human
good information, Thank You!
Thanks but hope to seethe effect of photo at night, and in real low indoor light scene.
The A18 is NOT a binned version of the A18 Pro. More powerful GPU and larger caches.
i really want a 16 because the colors are pretty but 60hz ain’t gonna cut it 🤦♀️
I gonna exchange my 16 pro for the regular 16.
@@ThunderGaming-js4dw It's heavy and there's not that much difference. I'm not much into photos or extreme use. I was thinking about buying the ultra watch so I wouldn't depend so much on the cell phone and leave it at home at least when i goes out.

60HZ on a $900 phone in 2024 is a huge crime.

Isnt pixel better ?
Wish reviewers would cover audio quality though wireless headphones
iphone 16 pro display is mutch better with 120hz rather than 60hz that iphone 16 have.
Bring back the mini phones!!!!!
Never gonna happen.
More people need to buy them, if they'd sold well enough Apple would have kept making them
@@joh2434but the problem is the Plus models aren’t selling particularly good as well, but rumors are that it’ll be replaced by the IPhone Air
Imagine the super saiyan backlash if the regular s23 or pixel 9 had 60hz. All these youtubers are on apple payroll except flossy carter.
I didn’t realize the regular model still didn’t have a always on well damn
So my iPhone 15 pro is useless now?
No
Just a shame it's still 60 hz unacceptable in 2024.
everyone I knew with an iPhone had a mini when they were available. I don't want a 42" television for a phone
first of all 16 pro is really nince but not worth it but the 120hz i need that after 13 pro. nice phone if new to dynamic island will love it, too bad ai is so late.,... legit newest feature, and the camera capture good when u adjust settings, really in love witth the white one
Can I just ask how u can see the difference in bezels. I can hardly see it lol
No. If you don't like big phones then the Pro is the phone for you. Quit complaining about the phone that big phone lovers get. We want big.
sorry bro 60hz didn't make the cut 😂
from the thumbnail it looks like Greg likes 60fps 😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's actually crazy

It’s a banger
I’m just waiting to pay off my 14 pro to switch to mint mobile lol 4 more months !
You NEVER have to use your phone DURING the movie... Turn your phone off, or use Theater Mode
IF you feel like you'll need to use your phone, then book an aisle seat, leave the theater when the urge hits you, and take care of all of your phone business BEFORE you return to your seat.
You're a terrible person if you think it's okay to interrupt the experience of others, even with the glow of a 1 nit screen.
Great video
