Hey E, awesome video as always! Your review was so honest and true, you mentioned everything that needed to be said, both good and bad. The 16 Pro is basically just a souped-up 14 Pro, so if you have a 14 Pro, I'd say hold onto it and wait for the 17 models.

@@jamesosteen09So you’ll get the iPhone 16 Pro when upgrading from AT&T for free? Does your monthly bill go up in price? If the answers on both questions are yes and no, I would recommend getting the iPhone 16 Pro.
Agreed on this review, best one of scene ... What phone are you coming from? I had a 14 Pro Max, got the regular pro this time, first time I haven't gone max and it's perfect. The usb-c alone would be enough for me to upgrade, so much easier not having to bring an extra lightning.

Great video. Just went from the 15 pro max to the 16 pro. As far as the RAM goes there is no reason not to constantly load it up with as much as possible to make it smoother. When opening apps it will move things in and out but caching as many things in RAM that you might do next helps with smoothness.
If anybody is coming from a 14 pro or later, don’t upgrade, but if you have a 14 or before like me ( I have the 13 ) then yes, upgrading will be amazing
This is a lie, the 16 pro has significant changes. The bigger screen size on the pro is a huge upgrade itself. The better cameras is way better. The 15 pro took horrible pictures. Battery was crap and etc I can imagine the 14 pro, super outdated, super heavy compared to the 16 pro models.
I also noticed the issues with the Control Panel when the phone is turned horizontally. The workaround I’ve found is to remove all the controls from the screen and then add them back one by one from the menu without manually rearranging them. Once you understand how Control Centre prioritises the controls on the grid, it becomes easier to translate your layout between portrait and landscape. However, in your example, there’s some empty space at the top, so this workaround won’t be effective, as it requires the controls to be moved manually. Since most users rarely use the Control Panel in landscape mode, it might take some time before Apple implements a better solution for this in the source code.
Always can count on quality and fair reviews. Coming from a 12 pro, it seems like the base version sounds like the right choice. Unless the updates change my mind.
Concerning the RAM, iOS is built on linux. And as in Linux, RAM is not either just "used" or "unused". Instead, used RAM can be put in different categories. For example, iOS may keep data you accessed from storage (your phone's slow storage) in RAM, while it no longer needs that data. This means, in case your app needs that data again, iOS does not have to load it from slow storage now, but iOS knows it has it in RAM. This saves time and energy. This is called Cached RAM. And while you could say it is not "free" RAM, it can be considered "available" if another application needs it, and thus is the equivalent of free ram. There's other categories (active, inactive, dirty, etc.), but I think Cached is the biggest and most important one to understand. When you may see RAM is at 95%, I wonder if this app takes the different categories into account? I don't know the app, I'll download it as you made me curious. 😊 Now imagine, concerning manually closing the apps, it will cause iOS to have to reallocate the information on what RAM is now free as opposed to cached or other. And, if you closed an app that had data cached, and open it again, it now may have to load data again from slow storage. So this is less efficient. All that being said, I still am guilty myself of sometimes closing all apps on my phone, just because I like the "idea" of a cleaner system, even knowing that in essence, it is not. 🤫
I've always opted for larger displays, going back to when they were called "phablets" like the Samsung Note. When I switched to iOS, same deal, last phone was the 14 Pro Max ... I ended up getting the regular 16 Pro, not the max, and it's perfect. On paper it doesn't look like much of a difference, but when you're in bed watching TH-cam, the lighter weight makes it a lot better. Plus your eyes can only see so much, and for me 6.3 inches is perfect (I know). Glad I got it, albeit not by choice since I broke my old phone.

Hello Mr. E! I thought I was missing the buttons in the recent calls tab because I have an iPhone 13 mini. It looks like Apple took it out of the final release... Too bad :(. Excellent video mr. E! As always!
Upgraded from a 14 Pro to the 16 Pro, since I upgrade every two years, as it seems to be the sweet spot for me. Admittedly, if the battery in my 14 Pro had been better, I might've waited. Though the 16 Pro feeling lighter and more comfortable to use without a case might've swayed me. I ended up disabling the camera control button because it was annoying to accidentally hit it, and the only time I actually used it was when I first got the phone. Definitely felt like a gimmick and cop-out to justify no real upgrades over last year.
This is the first time i’am watching your video, but i’m sure that I will continue watching your video because you are fair, funny and your videos are awesome 🎉
For the ram this may be due to, like on Linux based OS system, when there is an app running after system booting, it uses available (free) memory. When the app stop it is put in cache, but the total amount of used memory doesn’t decrease (it doesn’t go back in free memory metrics) although this doesn’t engage consumption because this memory doesn’t have any activity while cached. It is stored in case the app come alive again, and trashed only in case of need. It is not actively used but the cached memory appear in used memory. The used memory doesn’t account for this and is probably the metric measured.
Highly entertaining as always! As someone who currently has n S24ultra, and an iPad and a Mac, I keep waiting to be compelled back to iPhone… but I haven’t yet.
I upgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro Max in NT for the size increase, otherwise I wouldn’t have upgraded. However, owning more iPhones than not, this is a notable change in a few areas. Cameras (not the new button because that doesn’t matter) display bezels, small but noticeable. Processing is also noticeably more capable. But I edit videos and photos. Lastly, it’s brilliant design that’s been done well for a long time. It’s naive to hate on a company for not delivering leaps and bounds improvements every year. No company does this. In fact cars are only redesigned every 6-8 years…
Best review thank you, can you advise on the battery of the 16 pro ?.. I opted for the pro due to the smoother screen, however the battery is degrading a lot just by web surfing.. Hi, in regards to the RAM, most operating systems are designed to utilise as much RAM as there is available. You can observe this on MacBooks as well. It isn't an issue and it will accomodate the on-device models no problem, as it makes space for them. Hope this helps.
Do the black borders of the screen protector cover any part of the display? I’ve tried 7 different brands of screen protectors and every single one of them were too small for the 16 pro max. Please let me know if that benks screen protector fits the display properly

Everyone should upgrade to the 16 Pro Max just for the 4K 120 FPS all in HDR on all lenses Or even better wait for the global launch of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, ColorOs is unbeatable
The 16 Pro has a viewport width of 404 dips (device-independent pixels), whereas the 16 has a width of 393 dips despite having the exact same physical width. That's why the Pro feels noticeably bigger and more immersive by comparison. There is simply more horizontal space to layout words without wrapping to the next line. The Pro also has significantly better battery life, and it's ridiculous that Apple is selling the regular iPhone without an always-on display in 2024. All of these put together make the regular 16 a questionable buy.

Why are people everywhere just discouraging everyone from buying the new iPhone? lol he did say in the first 2 mins upgrading from 14 or 15 would be silly not from an older model like 13 go lower I dont think it is that the review is idiotic I just think apple riders hate even smallest criticism to their brand like what your doing
I upgrade every year because I like tech and I want the latest apple has to offer. I can afford it it doesn’t affect me financially and I work hard all year to save a lot of disposable income so why is that ridiculous?
Just to add some context about the RAM usage, unused RAM is a waste, memory management in modern OSs does this on purpose so your most used apps are quick to launch. So maxing out on RAM should not be red, it should be green in the graphics…so the app you are using…don’t use it
I look at incremental upgrades from a different perspective than the tech community does. They see it as lazy or lack of innovation. I see it as a sign of product maturity. Ive used Android for 12 years ios for 4 years and I still find apples ecosystem and the quality of their hardware and software experience to still have this extra polish and refinement that is hard to explain. Also upgrading yearly makes zero sense now days even if you are on Android which I currently am right now.
Not sure if it’s the way I setup the settings in my 16p, but my battery lasts around ~27 hours and ~8h screen time (always on display on and low battery mode overnight when I sleep) I guess I’m a psycho as I go through the whole settings in the phones at least once every 2 days to make sure everything is running only the way I wanted
@@sandipanhaldar61 sure I can, I hope it will fit in one message. 1. Check wifi settings (no auto join nor ask to join) 2. Mobile data off if I'm on wifi (plus 5g auto ON and 5g standalone OFF) 3. Background app refresh (disabled it for all the apps that aren't important to be for instant alerts or background updates, eg Alexa or instagram or TikTok etc, I don't really need those apps to run 24/7 on background) 4. Notifications (using scheduled notifications for apps I don't need immediate response like for example gmail or PayPal or TH-cam etc, plus disabled on app I don't really care to be notified) 5. Privacy & Security (disabled all trackings and services where not needed, for example I don't need all the apps to have access to microphone or location etc) 6. I think you're thinking of RAM in the old fashioned, "windows"-esque way. Where how much RAM is unallocated is a measurement of the OS's effectiveness. It's a little like the old "clearing cache to make your computer work faster" - it does the very opposite in reality. The honest truth is that the more RAM is unused, the more you've no tapped the performance out of the hardware you payed for. It's like having a race car but putting a block of wood under the pedal so you can use more then 25% of the accelerator. RAM, specifically since LV was introduced, has neglbel to no voltage overhead when its in full capacity. The OS's optimization is keeping as much of it full of useful data as possible. Apple has proven every year for the past decade and a half - it uses sometimes half the RAM of android phones, all the android warriors criticize Apple for it, and iPhones perform better for 99% of the time in most use cases (And yes I know there's always some monster gaming phone that's amazing, but they're mostly toy-ish and don't stay very good for more than a year or two).

I haven't seen any reviews that cover sound quality when using external speakers like Apple CarPlay, headphones, iPhone Bluetooth speakers etc. It is a music player as well as a camera, I'd love to know if my car audio will sound better streaming iTunes lossless...
Apple should bring back the call icon and also when you miss a call, the notification must have the option to call the person back or send a message.
Stiller not interested by ios but I like your videos 😊😊😊😊😊
I appreciate that!
My first time going to use I phone! I just ordered the I phone 16 pro I can't wait to have this .
What is your previous device?
Nice video ! what is the name of the pants that you wearing? looks cool !
Would love your review on Apple watch ultra 2 black again ...I got the new black ultra 2..need some good accessories for that😊
Congrats! How much can a man say about a new color tho?
@@ThisIsEthanks.😂 Would love to see some accessories then. As this is my first watch. I was planning to go to ultra when I got the 14 ProMax. Just took the jump because of the color and got it.
@@GopalanMD Hi, imho Apple’s straps are the best but very expensive. I think a bumper for the watch might be the best accessory as it’s easy to catch the top edges around the screen on things. Other than that, I can’t really think of anything truly useful.
I have the 16 pro natural titanium in 1tb. I also did an unboxing and first impression on my channel and i love this phone!
As a techy myself. I wonder What stand out features will differentiate Next years iPhone 17 Vs 17 Pro other than 3rd telephoto 5X Camera because "finally iPhone17 is going to get faster refresh-rate Display 90/120Hz".....
Really bad Battery life in iphone16 pro since recent ios update. Hope tbey resolve it soon.
Hey! Are you from Bulgaria or you are just on a trip right now?
Black colour so adorable
Top quality content!
Glad you think so!
@@ThisIsE I've been following the channel since it's early days and I knew you'd make it big. The quality is unbelievable.
Hardware and software of iPhone 16 pro max is quite impressive ❤
I have the same issue with the control center when I am gaming
Very disappointing 😕
Which keyboard for typing do u use brother?
I have the iPhone 13 max pro paid off! Debating if it's worth to upgrade 🤔 what do u think
You’ll witness significant camera improvements and less stress when it comes to weight
I have the XR and bought the 15 pro because I was lighter and 120€ cheaper. However it overheats as hell. I’ll change it for the 16 pro, do you think it’s a good idea?
Overheating is not a common issue. Try updating it or resetting it to see if that will solve the issue
What can you advice coming from iPhone 11 Pro go for the 16th or the 15th pro
16 Pro
How are your videos so good?
Thanks mate 👍
Can I have your wallpaper
Why are people everywhere just discouraging everyone from buying the new iPhone? No one is considering all those people who will be upgrading from an older model like 11 or maybe 12 or even 13, these reviews are just so so idiotic where they assume everyone in this world is already having an iPhone 15 or 15 Pro, lol
lol he did say in the first 2 mins upgrading from 14 or 15 would be silly not from an older model like 13 go lower I dont think it is that the review is idiotic I just think apple riders hate even smallest criticism to their brand like what your doing
@@reginaldjoseph3098 Keep crying bro! Feels nice seeing you like this
Calm down
@@HunterGlod Samsung fan?
@@agambhasin No
My personal favourite is iPhone 16 pro max ❤
The hardware is great indeed
I'm still on iPhone 11 Pro should I upgrade?
Yes ☺️
Should I buy 16 pro?
Awesome Samantha here iPhone 16 Pro 2024 also
recomended for photo and edit videos ip15PM or ip16PM?
Very similar tbh
I think price should be your deciding factor
@@ThisIsE ok thank's you 🙏
I tried device monitor to my iPhone 13 Pro (still ios17) and the used ram is 95% as well. So I assume the app is not accurate
Hello, how do you create this big folder with 9 apps in it????? (6:46)Thanks for your answer….like your style of your videod
I’m have the 11 pro.. so I think I need an upgrade..
You deserve it
I upgrade every year because I like tech and I want the latest apple has to offer. I can afford it it doesn’t affect me financially and I work hard all year to save a lot of disposable income so why is that ridiculous?
I am upgrading from 12 pro max to 16 pro
Well deserved upgrade!
So which phone you like better than ? I would say 16 pro
They are very similar. I would've stayed with the 15 Pro if it wasn't for the channel.
12:32 white "stojadin" hell yeah
It belongs to my father in law. It's awesome
You are absolutely right. What upsets me a bit is the lack of polish and maturity when it comes to iOS18
@@ThisIsE it feels “underbaked” to me.
6 months and having limited the charging to 80% I can report that the battery 🔋 is still at 100%
Im waiting for 18 pro.
Looking at your biceps, you could do your fitness routine video 😬
Not sure if it’s the way I setup the settings in my 16p, but my battery lasts around ~27 hours and ~8h screen time (always on display on and low battery mode overnight when I sleep)
I guess I’m a psycho as I go through the whole settings in the phones at least once every 2 days to make sure everything is running only the way I wanted
Can you mention the changes you tweaked from default to get such good battery life?
@@sandipanhaldar61 sure I can, I hope it will fit in one message.
1. Check wifi settings (no auto join nor ask to join)
2. Mobile data off if I'm on wifi (plus 5g auto ON and 5g standalone OFF)
3. Background app refresh (disabled it for all the apps that aren't important to be for instant alerts or background updates, eg Alexa or instagram or TikTok etc, I don't really need those apps to run 24/7 on background)
4. Notifications (using scheduled notifications for apps I don't need immediate response like for example gmail or PayPal or TH-cam etc, plus disabled on app I don't really care to be notified)
5. Privacy & Security (disabled all trackings and services where not needed, for example I don't need all the apps to have access to microphone or location etc)
6. Individual apps configuration (made sure that all apps are using the background and services like I wanted to, sometimes some settings appear only when you look at the individual app)
I hope this helps you and maybe other people too.
there are probably some given like I use max brightness only when I need it and not 24/7, always on display without background (so just pure black with time and notifications on screen) etc
Going to wait till 18.4 drops before upgrading to iOS 18 which might be June 2025 😂
Hahahahah
There’s a bug fix update for stable iOS 18 - iOS18.0.1
Браво много добри видеа
Много благодаря!
I'm upgrading from my thrashed iPhone 6 Plus to the iPhone 16 pro. Hopefully I don't regret it.
Oh wow, Apple should give you one for free. That's what I call a well deserved upgrade 😀
I need to upgrade from my 13 pro. The battery is very deteriorated. I love my phone but battery is at 78%. What can I do?
Replace the battery & keep it one more year
You can always replace the battery
I agree about the ios18! It is absolutely true that ios18 has made the complete experience of the iOS, for a lack of better words, shitty af.
I’m upgrading because my iPhone 12 is telling me to get off it’s grass
Im gonna go to the apple store tomorrow and I think im gonna get the 16 pro (upgrading from the 11)
That is a well deserved upgrade my friend
The change wich is visible is the battery life
The 15 pro was crap
Don't call it a button. Apple assassins will come after you.
Hahaha
