Currently on 13 pro max graphite. I’m thinking between desert and natural. Natural was special one for 15 so might go for desert for 16 as the warmer and cooler choice. 🙂🫶🎉🎉
No need for Pro and Plus or Max are too big for me. So I chose 16 and I am using it happy! I had 11, 13 and 15, so the base model is enough for me and for most people, for sure 😊
I honestly think you should get a iPhone 16 if you have never had a iPhone or you have a iPhone 12 or older. Other than that if you have a 14 or 15 then don't upgrade unless you just have to have the latest and greatest.
currently have iPhone 7 (128), planning for iPhone16 (128),I have decent to little mobile usage [mostly listening to songs or YT podcasts, not much into mob gaming (60hHz is not an issue)* ,type- C 2.0 is neither an issue as I rarely have stuff to transfer across devices and slow charging is fine with me as anyways the battery health is much better with regular charging speed], as mostly I spend my time on Mac. So that should be suffice and should last good for atleast next 5 years.
Yes solid choice for you also you will get bunch of new ai feature but first wait until December cause it will be much tested by users so you know whats good or whats bad hope you like this suggestion 😊
My iphone x battery is like less than 50% ahaha i charge it 3 times a day. I'll make the 16 plus last another 6 years too hopefully. This time I'll try not to charge above 80%.
My wife and I have iPhone 12 pro's from release week 4 years ago. Battery life is just now starting to be a little problematic. We both use our phones a lot. Booth are sitting at upper 80% ranges on life left.
I have a 13 PM and love it but the glass back is cracked. Upgrading this year. I’m thinking of getting the 16 pro because of the pro motion and smaller screen. 6.7 is annoying at times so I can’t imagine having a 6.9 phone size. Plus $200 more is just not worth it for me. Only downside is the battery. I’m essentially loosing 18% of battery each charge by getting a 16 pro from 13 PM. 🤷🏼 I keep fighting my decision haha
I’v been using the XS for 6 years …wanted to upgrade to 16, as it looks so nice with just two cameras…however, when scrolling it felt the same as my XS…so ended up with the 16 Pro, it feels much more professional.. and much quicker when scrolling and typing.. the only thing I don’t like and feel is a downgrade is the weight it’s actually a little too heavy for my liking, even the XS was a little heavy all these years.. hopefully I will get used to it..

Thank you, just found and subscribed to your channel, watched your 15 color comparison before this. I LOVED the ProMax 14 in the purple. Easily favorite color out of ALL generations of iPhones. However I'm still on my 12 ProMax and seems pointless to do a 14 to save $100 (if can even find new) which seems near impossible and I don't want refurbished. Usually there is a standout color that I just love and am like that is the one. Like I said the Purple was that color, this year there isn't a color that just screams to me that's the color. My 12 I did the BlueGreen (forget what apple called it). 15 it was the Blue Titanium for me. This year there isn't a single color in the entire 16 lineup (standard or pro) that is calling me and I'm struggling with color, but ready to upgrade from my 12. Dessert titanium seems to be the 'apple color' of the year on the pro, but I've never been a 'gold' person in any respect so that's probably my least favorite. Considering the other 3 colors were all available on the 15 I just don't know. I like the 'silver' look of the 'white titanium' but hate the 'white' side of that, I absolutely hated the white iPhones in the early generations. So kind of think maybe I'm between the 'natural titanium' and the 'black titanium' but not sure which. Kind of leaning the 'natural' mostly cause I think might give more case options, kind of leaning maybe one of the clear or semi clear cases and think on those the black will just be super dark and just look like you have a black case on your phone. The other reason kind of leaning that way I have a titanium wedding band. :) But then small part is like maybe I should really just leap in the deep end and go for the dessert titanium. Sorry for the long message, hoping some of your other followers might benefit from my thought process or maybe you or others might care to way in on what color I should go with. Haven't decided on case but thinking possibly popsocket 'koi' or the Otterbox Defender Series Pro XT for MagSafe in 'Denver Dusk Purple'.

Was going to get the 16 pro max but I can’t justify the price. Especially since most features are not coming to the phone day one. I’m on the 14 pro. And the AI isn’t enough for me to upgrade. I think the purple 14 pro looks so much better than the dull 16 pro.
I’m likely getting the regular 16 128g. Coming off a 64g iPhone 6Plus the jump will be amazing enough. As you stated on the vid many of Pro features are above my usage needs, would kinda be a waste at this point…maybe next time.

That new camera control button could be useful if you're taking a lot of photos. But other than that, unless you need 4k 120 fps slow motion recording, yourr fine with the 15 pro max.
Really need someone to give a good display comparison between 6.1” to 6.3” and the 6.7” to 6.9” sizes. Are they significantly larger to notice more content or is the extra screen just wasted display space around the edges? The Pro Max in the past was my preference for viewing photos and video but now wondering if the 6.3” display is the sweet spot? Is the 6.9” now too large? Curious on your thoughts on these.
@lookup129 if you have small hands just get the 16 pro or standard 16 and considering you're coming from the 6s, I'd say the 16 pro max will definitely drive you crazy due to its enormous size

Why is no one talking about the display lottery problem on the iPhone 16pro? Mine shifts to a green gradient and gets dim at the slightest tilt (10-20 degrees), while my girlfriend has the same phone with a perfect display. After combing through the forums, I realized that the problems are in batches with LG displays. Some people change their phones 5-7 times to get a normal Samsung display without a green gradient when tilted. You often compare almost identical photos on different models under a magnifying glass, but you ignore the fact that half of the new Pros have a defective display through which you look at these photos. It turns out that for such a price you can easily get a bad screen and you won't even know in advance. And none of the TH-cam reviewers talk about it. Sometimes I even see this defect in some video reviews, but the reviewer ignores it, everything is ok for everyone. Is there anyone here with the same problem?

Yeah that lack of 60 hz is def painful. The only thing about the 15 pro now is you don't get the camera capture button lol. But yeah it's pretty much a toss up now.

I think it just depends on if you think you’ll use the features coming. Most people I believe will not see the benefit initially, but maybe 6 months or so down the line. Siri will finally be a useful tool with ChatGPT integration + the writing assistance will come in handy. It will just be sad that people will not gain knowledge by depending on it.

iPhones last for more than 8 years . Trust. Just put a case and you’re set. However people will want something faster atleast every 3 years because that’s when you can really tell the difference.

I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I am not upgrading to this crap. I’ll just wait next year iPhone 17 since next year will be the last $1000 trade in value in the AT&T system.
I can never go with the Bass model iPhones because I’m too used to the promotion display and I am not going back to that 60 Hz I can’t stand it. It gives me a headache and they just feel cheaper.

my 13 pro max is 89% after 3 years and i easily get a full day and i never charge over 80%

Anything less than 120hz frame rate on a phone in (after) 2024 is criminal. For that reason only the pro and pro max are reasonable options.

Some people change their phones 5-7 times to get a normal Samsung display without a green gradient when tilted. You often compare almost identical photos on different models under a magnifying glass, but you ignore the fact that half of the new Pros have a defective display through which you look at these photos.
It turns out that for such a price you can easily get a bad screen and you won't even know in advance. And none of the TH-cam reviewers talk about it. Sometimes I even see this defect in some video reviews, but the reviewer ignores it, everything is ok for everyone. Is there anyone here with the same problem?
giving 90hz even without the camera button to the base model should have been better, smh

Yeah that lack of 60 hz is def painful. The only thing about the 15 pro now is you don't get the camera capture button lol. But yeah it's pretty much a toss up now.

I think fast charging is another key feature missing from the iPhone. The charging capacity should ideally be between 40 to 65 watts

You only live once: I had a 12 once and that had crap battery life. I just threw 300-400 towards a 13 pro and it’s still running strong to this day.

I will be getting the 16 pro Max 1TB in desert titanium and I’m upgrading from a 40 and I’m upgrading from a 14 pro Max 512 GB I want the pro Max due to it being the profile and obviously for the bigger battery and display and and of course for the pro features, particularly the camera and video.

Good video but I was hoping you’d answer the question if any of the 16s were worth upgrading to from say the 14 Pro Max. Is the AI functionality worth it?
I think it just depends on if you think you’ll use the features coming. Most people I believe will not see the benefit initially, but maybe 6 months or so down the line. Siri will finally be a useful tool with ChatGPT integration + the writing assistance will come in handy. It will just be sad that people will not gain knowledge by depending on it.

Promotion is only 80hz anyway, courtesy of Apple throttling. 60hz don't seem that bad when the Pro is only 80hz
They have a 144Hz refresh rate on the Motorola razor 2023 it's sad that Apple will not put a 120Hz on the base models

Edit: I just saw that you talked about the colors at the end of the video. I feel pretty much the same way as you. I also had the 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium this year. I love the color, but I want something different now. The silver seems to be an ice white this year and not the cream white like last year (which I also found really beautiful). It’s a tough decision for me this year 😂.

iPhones last for more than 8 years . Trust. Just put a case and you’re set. However people will want something faster atleast every 3 years because that’s when you can really tell the difference.
