Seriously dude, you English have the best humour, banter and general ability to chin-wag a great yarn. It must be in your DNA from centuries of minding a pint in a dark old corner pub around a fire while the weather is shite outside. You should be on the TV matey as your Northern humour is top notch. Big ups from us 'Down Under'...well, the better cousins across the water from those Aussies...haha. Kia Ora from NZ buddy. Thanks for taking the time to entertain and educate us all.
I just got the Kelty salida 2 and it’s bloody brilliant!! Just wild camped in the olde lacky district.. caught a monster trout and cooked up a storm while drunk of my nogging on a space boob. Brilliant!
First video I’v watched of yours, thinking about buying the tent in the video that’s how I came across it. Gotta say I’m well impressed mate. I’v subscribed and am looking forward to more videos.
Another top vid haze, good luck with the coast to coast, take plenty of tape for your feet in case you get a blister as soon as you feel it get it taped up pronto 👍
Hazy your knowledge on flower and fauna is exceptional 😂 please publish a pocket guide on flowers immediately. Just purchased a banshee and was wondering what sleep mat to use so found this helpful. Great vid as always you crack us up! Beautiful sunrise. Atb sue 👍
Cracking vid really enjoyed it, liking the tent mine is really light but a bit cramped . the helm 2 looks so roomy and well built .Loved the timelapses and wonderful skies ... atb Dave
I reckon you'd be brilliant on that 'Hunted' program. Keep the great vids coming, they are helping me when booking my trip. Thinking Scotland, or the lakes and hking/wild camp all the way! Thanks again.
Great video, I'm getting one soon, my current tent is 2.2 kg, so not much extra weight, I've looked at so many tents and this looks the best and seen loads of good reviews about the helm 1&2
Tent looks smart lad................nice little overnighter with your 'youth' just down the coast there, no wise-cracks from me today..................cheers,Stu.
That's a fancy rig our kid🍻, ease of pitch always good, have a hex peak nice but the inner a pain, I've an old North Face tadpole which is nice as free standing and easy to pitch anywhere. 🍺Will
Nice vid. I'm with you on the tent front. I have a bivi tent which is great for one or two nights, but I would not want to do longer with it. I also have an Optic View tent which is luxury with space. Worth the extra weight.
Canny tent isn't it Hazy. I've used it on several camps now in the Lakes. Obviously you watched the vid 😬. It holds up to high winds and not had a drop of condensation. Quick bushcrafty question. Is the spuncus upus flower edible or do you just suck on the root? Cheers fella
I've had it a few weeks but only had it up on the local field and in the house. Just watched you vid mate, so much more professional than mine and you got some cracking views! How you getting on with that new filter mate? I've had my eye on that for a while now and might pull the trigger before my hike. Big ups!
My favourite part of your videos is that I can’t understand a 1/4 of what your saying and the time lapse with the perfectly paired music. Keep it up haze.
Another good one bro and will buy the first edition of the Haze encyclopedia of wild flowers. Your long as names for the plants are far more entertaining than the current ones that make no sense at all.
Top vid, Old Chap. I have that tent! I've used it dozens of times over a couple of years and can report that it's a reet belter. It still looks like new n'all.
You've made me feel better with this video! I bought the Big Agnes 2 man tent when I was on the Pacific Crest Trail, instead of the 1 man... I regretted it instantly because it is an extra 1lb! Haha. You've stopped me from being so silly and to just enjoy the extra room. P.S you make me LOL!
I concur, I like my Banshee and for around £99 you cannot go wrong, but its advertised as a 2 man and it's just not. That looks much roomier yet the same weight. Don't be a stranger haze, test that tent again soon :D
I use the Mrs elixir 2 tent which looks like it's a similar shape to yours. It weighs over 2 kg but the space inside makes that bit of extra weight more than worth it. Great video by the way.
Thanks for the info on the purple headed custard cannon! I always wondered what those were actually called and the Latin name .. 😜 lovely scenery and beautiful sunrise Hon! Thanks for sharing it with us 😊 ATB ~Ruth
Nice video and a cracking spot for a coastal wild camp, still on my list to camp on the coast may do one this year, I have the Luxe Hexpeak and can not make my mind up if I love it or hate it, Light weight good floor space good head height But yer that little bedroom and steep sides and your face on the cloth Grrrrr, I like the look of this helm tent, weight is ok just need to know how it stands up to heavy stormy weather as I am planing on pitching up on the tops were it will get wild, got the vango Halo 200 great tent but to heavy, Take Care, Les.
Superb film with great advice and agree with yours point , stop messing about with a hoop bivi cope with the slight extra weight and get a tent you can sit up in , sort your feet out do personal admin , lying on your side trying to cook a meal when your knackered after a long day is never safe seen too many guys fall a sleep doing this - you have to be able to sit up right great film wifey asks is that Sandsend Whitby down to the right ?
Another great vid meht, got to admit we have the best intentions to give great we have just started our wildcamping journey content but ale reviews and red wine get in the way, although moi Taz still get in my grounding sessions while out, namaste shag
Nice one old hazeo thats a sweet tent you got there! You got to carry what make you feel comfortable. I personally have found i like a small inner, makes me feel like I'm still in my mother's womb 😂. A couple of my mates use the hexpeak and iv seen them take a battering out on Dartmoor and there solid!. And never leave home with out a thermarest zlite one of the most useful bits of gear, nice to chuck it outside in the morning and have breakfast on it! Take care Tim
I just bought the helm 2 pissed on Northern Monk (some BIG hitters) I need to back off from the Internet when drunk but on a plus the helm 2 is on its way 👌
ha ha "Purple headed custard cannon" classic!! Cracking tent mate is that the wildcountry HAZE 2 lol nah it looks awesome was out with Messner the other day and had a good look and its a very good tent especially for the dosh. I carry 2.7kg and just edit the puffing and panting out. Anyways cracking vid once again ATB Steve
Agree with your comments re being cooped up in small tents when on a long distance trail and your ones about heavy stuff. Did the Pennine Way in the 80s with a canvas rucksack and tent lol. Wild Country make some decent stuff. I have a hoolie 2 which is a great if heavy tent. Cool vid bro. ATB Ferret
Hazy, if your grand-dad camped in the 70s (as I did), your dad would have in the 90s, which would make you a bearded 10 year old. That's maths! Enjoy your videos!
I’ve just got the cloud peak 2 but don’t know whether to return it for this as it had condensation on the fly. It wasn’t dripping or anything but, like you say, I want it to be perfect. The best mat I’ve had is the Thermarest neo air xtherm. The bag is a fart on but I just top it off with a few breaths
Enjoyed the Video. Good luck with the walk when it happens. Just to throw another potential spanner at you.... I've just taken delivery of the 3F ul gear Lanshan 2. Its under 90 quid delivered. It's a sil nylon double skinned Duplex clone from China. Its only 1.3kg.
Mine arrived in just under 2wks. It's 15D so you need to look after it and plenty of ventilation for 2 season camping. I'll probably order the footprint or throw some polycro under it. Less than 1/6th the cost of the the Duplex
Great video again Mr Haze, could I ask what rucksack that is and what your thoughts are on it and will this be the one you use for the hike. many thanks for your time.
I remember my Alsatian was a bit pissed off at the leeks and sat his big fat fluffy arse smack bang in the middle Of the tent.”And where do I sleep?” No response. “Get over , yer great lumux, “ God , he’s heavy!
"I wouldn't enjoy using a £700 tent, plus not over 2kg". Skip forward two years-Allak 2! We've all been there 🤩. Can see how much pleasure the Allak gives you, so why not?
I’m getting my taste buds back, watching this. I live at Hastings and I saw 1 of these tents....get be-. Hind me Satan and don’t push! One note, about the Americans, I think MOST of them LIVE as Survivalist. One guy, has been out 30 years : woods, woods & more.... Peace & quiet? , you bet!
Whats better , you get back home after a day at grindstone and HazeO has posted a vid ? Nowt . Nice work fella . Hope the tent works out for you , I'm sure it will . Maybe bury the ales at strategic points along the C2C way . Comfort comes first when you're getting on in years , you'll discover this .
Not back of this i have just ordered the Helm 2 ....you got me into Hillebergs which i have had 3 so far but down to 2 these days ...basically you Mr are costing me a fuckin fortune so if this one doesn't serve me well then i have a Leki pole that i could use to turn you into a spit roast ......Only the Pennines divides us.....just because you are ont sunny side doesn't mean i can't drag my pasty white Lancashire skin over ont sunny side to give you my ten shillings and threpence worth young un.
" Purple headed custard canon " Lol... F@#king outstanding... P.M.S.L... Heads up got myself a Robens Kestrel ,old version with external poles from amazon.de 190euros quality tent around 2.8kg pack weight .. The dogs bollocks...Right up your street...
Ey up me duck. I'm in a quandary me owd. I've been faffing about trying to make my mind up on what tent to get, I thought I'd finally chosen one *Vango Banshee 200 Pro... but now I'm looking at this one after your and Paul's reviews. Honest opinion cocka, Banshee or this un? I'm 6ft:2"

Beautiful slow shutter speed of the coast road and shore lights and new tent 👍🏻🇬🇧

I just got the Kelty salida 2 and it’s bloody brilliant!! Just wild camped in the olde lacky district.. caught a monster trout and cooked up a storm while drunk of my nogging on a space boob. Brilliant!
That scene was absolutely crying out for a fishing session with a few bevvies!
Your knowledge of local flora, as well as its binomial nomenclature, is impressive.

Looks like a great tent for taller people who will be in windy places and want a place to cook in the vestibule. Great filming location!

Good point about tent weight - reduce other weight and spend it on the comfort of a decent tent
98% of the shit sacks are still snoozing away 🤣
Your funny bro.
Most wouldn't understand why we have to be out there rain or shine.
Take care Haze
Nice vid yet again bruvva.
People are too soft these days. Uncle Hazey spot on per usual.
Beautiful time lapse and sunrise - salute from the states.
Enjoyed that, thanks!
I’ve been looking for tent to hike South Downs and you just sold me the helm 2

That was ok for a bloody tent advert.

Boss Video - Funny you mate! Subbed
You're welcome 👍🏼 😉 nice edit
Nice tent, hope you had a footprint on that shale. But that roof tag is not for a lamp, it’s for a love swing.
Hilleberg niak would be the best choice for you.
I remember my Alsatian was a bit pissed off at the leeks and sat his big fat fluffy arse smack bang in the middle
Of the tent.”And where do I sleep?” No response. “Get over , yer great lumux, “

Still reckon the Helms are one of the best tents over last few years sub £250
I'm thinking of getting one soon
Great vid as always buddy. What's the next multi day walk you're going to take on? Keep it up!
What pants were you using there...any feedback on these and while you are at it ...your hiking shoes? Awesome vid!
