    I've 13,000 miles on my 2016 WRX - Cobb for the last 10,000. Finally ran 0-60 on my 2016 WRX CVT Cobb Stage 1 91 map (82 ambient). 5.3s all day long with launch control. Ran 6.1s stock. Can't believe the improvement. COBB FTW

    • @paulverstraete9157
      @paulverstraete9157 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      easier in traffic on the highway...if i want to shift i have a 10 second sportbike to play on.....

    • @hairyviking6047
      @hairyviking6047 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At first, I saw "ran 6.1 stock" I thought surely no, wrx is faster than that... Then I read CVT and went oh, OK, why CVT? I understand traffic and all, but wrx has always been about manual, plenty other cars with auto or dc trans available in the price range. Subaru should do a dual clutch, now that would be amazing. Technically an automated manual, so still OK, but with the shift times of a dc in the wrx, we'd be looking at mid to high 4's 0-60mph/0-100kmh.
      ... I think I just messed myself.

    • @Sublimegameplays
      @Sublimegameplays 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wrx cvt has a manual sport sharp mode that you can switch to. Youre not always going to drive the car crazy obviously sometimes you just want a little more gas mileage. I didnt know you can mod the cvt version. Im trying to decide between manual and cvt because i heard you cant mod the cvt version.

      I feel the same way . I wanted to make it louder n thought of a cat back . Did my research n then realized all the tuning . N so I thought of axle back at least . They say no tuning needed . I called my dealer n they said no it will void my warranty 😟 seems like a lot of people do it tho n it seems to be ok but they “Subaru” was talkin about too much pressure etc . I wana do this as well I get so happy n excited but sad when I see someone with my model or newer with all this aftermarket stuff on it . Sounds so amazing too .

    The first $250.00 2015 WRX Mod should be the Whiteline Rear 24mm Sway Bar (medium setting for the street and hard on the track) . Not a Power Mod, however, should be the first Mod.

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Stage one is usually just a tune, stage 2 is typically bolt ons like intake, downpipe, exhaust, etc. Our stage 1 tune typically makes around 268whp 295wtq. Our stage 2 kit makes around 322whp 328wtq. These numbers will be further helped with things like the intercooler and charge piping... e85. etc etc! If you have further questions please feel free to speak with Ian: ext 111 or ipeterson@maperformance.com

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Paul! We are up north in Cottage Grove, MN. You will see some pretty substantial gains with our Stage 2, typically around 322whp/336wtq with 93 octane, almost +100wph and about +75wtq over stock. Intake plus j and mid pipe would run around $800 plus tax and tuning.

    • @psanford78
      @psanford78 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MAPerformance thanks. the video mentioned a tune if you bought the products. still sounds like a good deal. 800 bucks for a intake and j pipe. what is the cost for an e tune?

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Sanford The free tune mentioned is a base tune with an Accessport purchase. We provide a Stage 2 tune with the package but no longer offer straight up E-Tuning. That can depend on the shop but is usually around $300.

    Hey Ian/MAP, got a tuning question for you. I have a 2015 WRX with an intake, charge pipe, EBCS, TGV/EGRD, and muffler deletes. I know there's power in the exhaust, but I'd personally not mess with it (turbo studs, smell of deleted/aftermarket cats, the loudness/rasp unless you buy really expensive quality stuff, etc). Have you guys seen any decent gains from a TMIC? I don't take my car to the track, I'm just looking for better flow and more punch. It does get pretty warm and extremely humid where I live. I'm also worried about back pressure from the all-modded intake side fighting the stock exhaust. Is a TMIC worth it?

    Is there a sound difference between a catted and none catted j-pipe, also will you guys be making an intake kit? I feel like the j-pipe, intake, intercooler, and cat-back would be a sick "the works" package.

      +MAPerformance So can you put a turbo back an intake and just flash it to stage 1, or do you have to be at stage 2 with that setting? Excuse my ignorance. Thanks in advance.

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mr Antifeca That would be stage 2, so no you can't run a stage 1 tune. Individually the intake and catback exhaust will not need a tune but the downpipe will!

      +MAPerformance Again, thanks a lot to enlighten me as i'm new to tuning. I hear all the time that if you install an intake you'll need a tune. Can you elaborate a little bit on that? I'm trying to go stage 1, but there's a lot of companies and a lot of confusion of you will.

    Going to buy a 2016 wrx sedan with automatic cvt in it. I do not want to void any warranties what so ever but want a rumble in the exhaust. Sti exhaust vs cobb vs nameless or corsa 3.0 pro. Which would give me the best gain, rumble and keep me in warranty.

      +SELF19881 The COBB AP will allow different tunes to be saved to the cars computer. If something were to happen you would uninstall (unmarry) the COBB AP from the car. This will put the OEM computer tune back in place. Dealer is unaware that there was ever a different tune.
