Thanks for this video. I was about to spend $800 on a 64ah headway bank but after this I think I can make my own from 1 of those Superbeast from battery hookup. Then I can save money and possibly even have a larger battery pack. Thanks again.
@@TheBiohazardSuburbanwhat buss bars do I need for a super beast? I’m trying to make one bank for my JP63 and JP234 that’s about 8,300 watts rms gonna have 2 runs of 0 gauge welding wire from my xs power d3400 to the rear to my bank big 3 but I’m gonna run a stock alternator for now from what I’ve heard I should be ok till I get some more funds for a 250-320 amp alt or something
Hey, can u please give me the exact dimensions of the battery pack completely build?. I wanna build same pack, but don't know if it's gonna fit where I want it to.
You can use a $10 4s balancer and it'll work fine but I would use something like this. 3S 4S 5.5A Capacitor Active Equalizer Balancer Lifepo4 Lithium Lipo Battery Energy Transfer Active Equalization Whole Group Balancer a.co/d/7HweXFw
A good rule of thumb is 1,000 watts per every 10ah of lithium. So around 9,600 but without a good alt it will take forever to recharge. The voltage will just keep dropping.
I don't run these but I was told by a few people. If you turn the key for a few seconds before starting the car. The battery will cycle and start just fine no matter the temperature.
These were built for a friend of mine. Can't beat the price on these but I do agree. I personally run Cmax in my build but a lot of people will say get rid of them too.
@@TheBiohazardSuburban cmax is the only way to go. I built that exact headway bank you built in this video for a friend. He bought it because it was cheap. But he still $1000 into it by the time he machined his own bars. Dual 320 alts it won’t support 10,000 watts. Terrible. Anyway great video. Shows people how to construct a cap bank of any brand.
Thanks, I’m learning to build these as a side hustle and I’ve gotten decent at it

Awesome I'm glad it helped you out.
@@TheBiohazardSuburban Do you have or know of a discount code for Jims?
@Tony Foley No I have never seen a code for that site.
@The Massive Audio Burban thanks anyways, I've already ordered my items

Thanks bro I’m trying to figure out how to wire the balancer.
You sunk my Battleship! Nice.
Awesome 👍. These are the same buss bars I need
Can these charge off of the alternator? Also can I run this in parallel in the trunk, while having an agm under the hood?
Yes it can be ran on any alternator as long as you're not charging over 14.8 max but 14.6 to be safe and they can be ran with agm batteries.
do you charge this beast all together as a giant ass 12v battery?
@FinnaBin yes I built 2 of them for a friend and he ran them both on a single alternator 12v - Chevy Hhr
can these catch on fire if I put it in top of cardboard? silly question maybe :/
@jonver87 cardboard is not conductive so it would be fine. Just make sure it doesn't touch metal.
What size ring terminals did you use for the balancer connections?
Honestly I have no clue. My buddy brought all the stuff. I would assume like 18 gauge
Nice. Are these going in a Chrysler 300? I’m in the process of gathering information myself on this.
I built these for a chevy Hhr. 2 Wolfram 9ks on 6 Audio Ace 15s

I built these for someone else. I don't have them to take measurements sorry man.
What’re the dimensions of this. I need to rebuild mine but I can’t find measurements of a built one like this
Sorry man I built these for someone. I didn't write down any dimensions.
How much were these two 96ah banks supporting???
These are running 2 wolfram audio artic 9ks at 0.33 ohms each. It holds 12 volts on a single 320 amp alternator.
do you need the balancer?
You probably don't need it if the cells are all the same voltage but I would recommend one.
Ty for the response good sir....Would the only issue not using the balancer be lower voltage?
@manitoba manitoba The lower voltage cells can bring down higher voltage cells is they're not the same. You can get a cheap 4s Balancer for like $10
Can a 48ah handle over 3k With a Stock 100amp alternator charging to 14.5v?
Yes it should handle 3k just fine. It'll do about 5k with an alt
I just ordered 28cells to build a 56ah just ordered the bars too just need a balancer
@titoham-DCXLswrong
How many amps are each cell capable of?
Thanks
Headway cells are rated at 200 amps
120 amps continuous and 240 amps pulse is the CORRECT answer they are 15c continuously and 30c burst x ah
Close but no@@TheBiohazardSuburban
Do those cheaper balancers work good ?

@@TheBiohazardSuburban i might buy one like yours with that nice cover for it
I bought a heltec balance off Amazon
Do you sell any of these units complete with the balancer by chance?
No sorry
How much power could I get out of a 96ah? Alt being 102amp and charging to 12v. Alr know I need to upgrade to a ho alt😂thanks in advance tho🤟🏻

Anyone figure out how to add a heater to these for the great white north folks yet?
I don't run these but I was told by a few people. If you turn the key for a few seconds before starting the car. The battery will cycle and start just fine no matter the temperature.
Step 1. Throw away all headway cells. Step 2. Buy better cells.
