    This is a great little setup and the Headway's are safe and reliable cells. Those buss bars look NICE too. Parker did these using the empty battery cases, that's a dope method too. Those are probably hard to come by right now though. Looking forward to more lithium in the future, like maybe BMS'? Yeah boi 👍

      @@HifiVega I have 96 cells that I bought for my wall build and I am in desperate need of knowledge on a couple things and am more than willing to pay whatever for the advice and time. This is my first time using lithium and my first wall build at the same time and have done a ton of reading for the past year and a half but can’t seem to find certain answers. I told Sparked Ed someone in the car audio community needs to start a side hustle where people could email to set up a time block for a phone conversation where people that aren’t pros could ask questions or advice maybe throughout a build, upcoming purchase, where to buy certain things, home audio, enclosures, etc. It’s not always easy searching out the answer to a specific question and I have spent HUNDREDS of hours on videos and reading. I work 65 hrs a week and my time is worth more than you could ever imagine. Please help me or help me find someone interested in helping me. I’m not talking waste your time money either.

      @@MattCavazos Matt, there's an army of people that can help with questions. Some that have some seriously extensive knowledge in audio. I wouldn't call myself an expert, but can certainly hang with the best when it comes to install, setup and tuning. I'm no enclosure or equipment guru, but I know my way around car audio. The jack of all, if you will. I will also provide info and/or help. My email is my full name, as seen here, at Gmail. Holler if you need help, I'm also building my first wall, and have experience with the Headway (probably the same 96ah from battery hookup). Lots of info to share if your interested.

I bought 2 VXF 12's and I'll be running 2 JP23's so I definitely won't have enough reserve so I've been looking at lithium. I'm not sure if I want to do a battery delete under the hood and I've read that headways can run safely with agm's with an isolator but I've seen mixed reviews about that. • @HifiVega
      @HifiVega  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For 24 cells you’d want a minimum of 1/4 aluminum bus bars imo. These custom bars are much thicker and overkill in most cases, but make it easier for future connections. If you top balance them you can get away without a balancer, but you’d wanna check them periodically. If you wanna just have a one and done solution you can pick up a cheap active balancer like this one

    No separation between any of the cells, or the parallel packs? No covering over the aluminum blocks? I'm seeing less than an inch of space to bridge with any metal object and then you've got a very high amperage short, because of how powerful those cells are. I mean, they "look" cool like that, but it's a very unsafe build if left unprotected.

    Top balancing batteries is when you connect all the positives together and all the negatives together and then charge it to 100%. The reason why you do this is because the cells become out of balance at 100% and at 0%. Most people want to operate there batteries at 100% so you top balance instead of bottom balance. What you did was just balance the cells. Usually cells are shipped at 50% charge. You also want a BMS and active balancer installed or you can have some runaway cells. That won't be a good day

    • @HifiVega
      @HifiVega  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With a 16ah bank it won’t be a huge issue running them inline without pre charging them. Adding an isolator is mainly up to your personal preference. It can be a bit of an extra safety measure. Outside of that these cells are relatively safe just make sure they’re in an enclosure so the pos and neg aren’t easily accessible for something to fall on them
