@jonver87 cardboard is not conductive so it would be fine. Just make sure it doesn't touch metal.

The first 4 subs were bought from the Sundown yard sale for around $2,450 They were $575 each before tax

The port was 15.5 x 5 so 77.5 sq and 15.5 per cubic feet. I had to think on it. I actually sold that vehicle like a year ago.

The box was shrunk to 5 cubic feet to handle the power.

I've never tried any other Massive subs

Definitely some beefy subs that can take a lot of power but at $1200 a sub I would say there are better options for the price.

So they cost $1200 a sub

I don't run these but I was told by a few people. If you turn the key for a few seconds before starting the car. The battery will cycle and start just fine no matter the temperature.

It was built into the trunk.

The box was tuned to 28hz. I had to cut out a bunch of metal to fit those 15s in that car.

And what did you do for you suspension cuz I have to zv5 12s in my car rn and it’s sagging like crazy bro

@@AlexSantos-at-AN-CJDR I replaced the factory struts with a generic pair from Amazon and didn't have any issues.

Yes it can be ran on any alternator as long as you're not charging over 14.8 max but 14.6 to be safe and they can be ran with agm batteries.

Those subs were only ran last year and were swapped with 6 Sundown zv6 18s.

@jefferyglover4295 I needed it to be louder and I can get 2 Sundowns for the price of 1 Boa. 6 18s were definitely louder than the 4 Boa 15s

It was definitely a sight to see. One of my favorite builds.

The Hdc4 is punchier but the zv6 hits a lot lower. Both good subs in the right application. I didn't do any numbers comparison.

I like the Sundowns better personally but it's not a fair comparison. I went from 4 Boa 15s to 6 zv6 18s. The Boa is a bigger coil and should be able to take more power.

That's the plan. The Massive subs were replaced this year and the amps should be replaced by next year.

@evilinside5984 I have my eyes on a few amps. 2 jp83s aren't going to get me much more power. I'll probably end up with 3 big amps at 1 ohm per pair.

Remember your amps D10ks are @ .67 strapped= approx. .33 each @ rest, prob. rising to .75 to 1 ohm, = approx. 5k rms X (4) amps, so your subwoofers are prob. getting 20k on a full power burp.!? If you ran Let's say 3-Jp 83s= 1-per pair @ 1 ohm, you would prob. be getting @ most 2 to 3 ohm power, per amp= 6k to 7k, X- (3) amps, = 18k to 21k @ best!? Would be about the same power as you have now, for $4500, for (3) Jp83s, but they would not shut off, or run as hot. Also (3) taramps smart 8ks, would prob. give around 21k power after rise, for cheaper, but they are built much cheaper. Then (6) Jp 33s, @ 1/2 ohm each, and ($599 each), would give approx. 4k, each, after rise, so 24k total, or (6) Jp 43s, @ 1/2 ohm each, and ($799 each), would give approx. 5k, each, after rise, so 30k total?
