I loved wearing non plain stockings/tights!! I used to wear a lot of skirts to work. In the winter I always wore knee high boots and all kinds of tights. They weren’t kooky tights with crazy colors, but mostly brown, black or gray. I was just thinking the other day I should start wearing them again!

Marie-Anne, I have been watching your videos for some time now. You have inspired me. I have revamped my entire wardrobe, giving my older clothes to a charity, and I am slowly replacing my clothes with classic pieces, as you suggest. Yesterday I went to a store and bought a dress, a sweater, and a skirt, all for an upcoming family event. I received so many compliments as I was trying on these clothes to show to my husband who was waiting for me on the "husband's sofa" in the store. Thank you so much. You have boosted my confidence and literally taught me how to dress. I am grateful and will keep watching. I loved your tips today, especially those concerning the hosiery. You are a lovely teacher.

I like your tip to add subtly-patterned tights or sparkly socks to the outfit. Plain black or navy suit for work can look more feminine with a bit of sparkle, especially when I mostly wear flat/low-heeled ankle boots or brogues. They can lift the mood as well in these bleak winter days. Thanks Marie-Anne.

I so love your tips 💖 a little mystery in the outfit, makes the woman look intriguing. And it's such a lovely idea wearing beautiful lingerie that is hidden but we wear not for others to see but because we love and value ourselves, so true when you said that is adds a glint in our eye and a spring in our step, basically it's the confidence that comes with self-love. 😊

@Michelle Perkins you can even buy faux camisole inserts. They are these lace panels, and you can attach them to your bra. 😉 I have a pack of three in black, whit and tan. That's for when you want the look but not the extra layer. 😊

Mare- Anne, I love these little secrets. Beautiful silky lingerie feels soft against the skin even if no one sees it. Your outfit feels special and you know. I love the socks, a touch of elegance.. I see men dressed in suits who wear bright socks with stripes or designs. I can't tell until they are sitting down. It makes me smile to see the playfulness with a dressed up business look. Winter can be cold and drab so why not add some pretty socks, a little surprise to our look.It's the little details that are important. Your make up is especially nice.

I love the idea of something unexpected. My favorite part of the video was about wearing tights with pattern, which I currently do. Can you do a video on maintaining shoes clean? I see so many women with beautiful shoes, but not clean. I polish my shoes every morning for a bit of extra shine and sparkle.

Exactly about the boots. Last Christmas I wore a pair of red and taupe wingtip brogues with a small heel under my wide leg black pants. When I sat down on a stool my sister exclaimed "your shoes!".

i love the idea of beautiful under garments!! i have a collection of camisoles and slips and it gives me great joy to wear them, even if no-one knows! i always keep some soap or pot pourri in the drawer so they smell divine too!!

@@MarieAnneLecoeur My favourite is a bit of lace camisole peeking from a v-neck top; effortlessly chic, and as you have mentioned it adds a layer of warmth, too - so I love that it is also both aesthetic and useful. 😊
I enjoyed the first tip the most. It reminds me of a charcoal-coloured blouse from Cyrillus I purchased. I thought it was strange that the thread used for the monochrome embroidery was in the same colour as the rest of the blouse instead of a constrasting colour. Now I understand the purpose of the design: to create the inattendu effect when you notice the embroidery by standing closer to me!
