(I know they both fought before, just Maroon was good enough at bouncing McDavid’s passes into the net that he was warranted on the first line against dirty teams/players.) A perfect example of the enforcer style hockey. Cheap shot, enforcer goes out and puts him down, OVER. It is as much a face saving ritual as it is a fight and is a far better system than any new rules might create.

Basically if I’m going to get cross checked I’m going to pray the stick is broken so some of the force is dispersed along the stick and not solely into me.
