Hockey is the only sport where two players can stop play just to fight, and have it be a highlight. Love this damn sport.

Chara played literally 2 minutes of straight hockey, including on the penalty kill, then still dropped the gloves and had a pretty good even tilt with a 6'7 Oleksiak. What incredible shape he's in damn

Guys like Probert, Mcsorley, Brashear,,Hunter, Manson, Tie Domi, Stu the Grim Reaper Grimson, Derek Boogeyman Boogaard "God bless his soul" etc. Kane got some good hands, but Chara is a giant. Even though Chara plays a physical game and walks the line of dirty and and not dirty play, whenever he fights he gives respects to the guy after. Watch at 2:38 where he’s about to punch, but he lets up and gives the guy a tap on the back and likely said “good fight” or “good job” to him in his ear. That’s a true hockey player right there and good sportsmanship. Play hard, don’t cross the line, and give your opponents a good pat on the back or good job when y’all duke it out or get into a scrum

Jack and Andy love the game, you can hear it in their voices and you can tell they arent just talking to talk like most commentators do

Oleksiak is damn lucky he was fresh off the bench and Chara had been on the ice for over a minute killing a penalty. Chara still won that fight.

Yeah, Oleksiak is ready to fight Chara....but only after Chara's been on the ice for at least two minutes including a penalty kill. It was the 2nd period so Chara couldn't get off the ice after the Penguin power play.

Tbh its hard to take Chara down since theres no tripping in hockey fights (which I totally agree with). Its hard to even reach his face when hes that big. The bigger they are, the harder they fall tho. Thats what I meant by tripping. Mad respect to the both of them. Both knew when it was done
