  • Today was the day my brand new 2024 Ducati Streetfighter V4S was ready for collection from Ducati Dundee.
Due to predicted rain in the Cairngorms I opted to hire a large van from Enterprise.

Congrats. I bought the exact same bike 2 weeks ago.
FYI, you can fit the exact same LED turn signals from the rear of the bike, into the front mounts and direct wire. So much smaller and looks way better. Tail tidy is also required.

      Congrats too.
Thanks for the info. I'll get the same indicators fitted at the first service.
Which tail tidy do you recommend?

@@RoadstoRidges I have an EVO but there’s also Futurismoto and New Rage Cycles and a couple more. All depends on what look and features you want.
Also, if you’re going to change the gas cap to aftermarket, you might want to eliminate the charcoal canister because any “overfill” will clog the canister and bike will run like trash and also create pressure in the tank.

Great video, Love seeing the roads of our area, great biking roads. I got the SP home and am in the process of running it in too, 200mls and counting so far!!! Can't wait to get full power and see what all the fuss is about!! 😉

Hi Ray. Awesome. How are you enjoying it so far. I think I'm also around the 200 mile mark. Need at allow 130 ish to ride it back down too so will book in soon.

Loving it mate, totally different from the SDR. Was away down Grantown on Spey yesterday in the sunshine, just need to get used to working out the ranges with no fuel gauge. 🤦‍♂️

@@Raymaciver 😁 Glad to hear you've been getting out on it and annoying the residents of Grantown with the exhaust noise.
I filled up again yesterday and my trip said 84 miles and it took about 11.2 litres. Would suggest 120+ miles are possible to empty but this is nannying the revs at under 8-9,000 so once the 14.5-15k is available I'm expecting 100 miles to a tank. Will be interesting trying not to run out on longer rides

Stunning. 🤩 I’m getting one December coming. Really love the black/grey, although in person the red looks fantastic. What made you go black. I wonder if colour affects resale value … not that it matters I suppose.
Didn’t notice much between base and S version. On paper it’s better but I’m never going to use on track. Standard suspension was excellent. Not sure it justifies the extra €3000 (Ireland). Thoughts?

Hi Mark. I bet December can't come soon enough. I was giving serious thought to the red. I didn't like the all black logos. I prefer the red lettering on the black and grey. Plus hardly see any in the new grey nero colour yet.
Both look amazing though so you will love it.
I went with the S as I noticed a big difference between riding modes in the compliance and control of the suspension on different surface conditions. I like having that instant adjustability at the push of a few buttons. The roads in the Highlands vary considerably. Some areas have fantastic smooth tarmac and others are badly broken up. Allows me to quickly soften of adjust the settings rather than rattle my brain if it's too stiff. Also the forged wheels and lithium battery save a good few kilos. The bike is so flickable. Didn't test ride the standard bike so can't comment on the difference in riding feel.
Will be really interested to hear what you think about yours when it arrives.

@@RoadstoRidges excellent. Yes, good point re road surfaces. I’m 107 kg so want the best suspension. Guess I’ll have to try the s to compare. No bike has ever bothered me in the past and none had electronic suspension. Yeah, I really like both colours. On pictures the red doesn’t looks as nice especially on the s with gold forks: it makes the bike look like Ronald McDonald 😂 the black is perfect for a Street bike. I only wish it was all black with no grey. 1st world problems! I’ll keep you updated. Subscribed 👍
Ps. Yes, December 21st is 264 days and counting 😂

I should add a close second is the KTM SDr 1390. I REALLY want to try that too.

@@markholmes5695 I'm pretty similar to you then as I'm 110kg. I'm sure the standard suspension is equally adjustable you just need to get an Allen key or screwdriver out to adjust it. Worth trying both despite the €3000 difference.
You have the patience of a saint to hold out until December to get one of these. 😂

I just picked up my 2024 a week and a half ago, the same as yours. I notice when you first started it in the garage your rpms were not running low, every time I start mine the rpms go below 1000 and ends up dying. After 5-6 tries I manage to keep it on and then it’s fine after. Have you had this happened to yours? Thank you for the video 👍🏼. Cheers from Canada

      Hey Ruben.
Fantastic! Great choice. I hope you've had chance to get some running in miles done.
No I've not had the revs dip on start up. We have a crazy cold start in Europe to get the cats up to temp quickly so it revs away at over 2000 for about 10-15 seconds.
Might be worth a chat with your dealer. Not sure if the cold start is a mechanical setting or something in the software. I'm sure it will be a simple fix for you. 🙂
