They are constantly asking for food even if they are well fed or didn't eat all of it, they make messes, they lay on your lap and purr, they let you pet them, they can go from "pet me" to "get away from me" in a few seconds, they prefeer simple things, they randomly jump on you and they are cute... I love this animal.

Once, I couldn't find my cat. I looked for her for 2 hours until I heard a shift in a box in my living room. I looked under the table and she was sitting in literally the tiniest box ever. All four paws were in the box. And she just looked at me like when someone enters the bathroom and you're using it.

My mom comes back inside and is about to give up, and he comes strolling right from downstairs and starts putting at her feet. This happened again a few days later. i dunno dude, all my cats love belly rubs to death, generally right where they got fixed, which i always found weird but one of them will literally stare me down until i give them belly rubs, while laying on my lap, they will give me a legit super deep stare until i do.

Generally speaking, a cat showing their belly to you is a sign of trust not an invitation for a belly rub. Cats aren't as closely evolved with humans compared to dogs and cats still use a lot of body language which goes over people's heads.

Dogs whine really loudly at absolutely nothing, ask to be taken out every two seconds, and jump up at you trying to lick your face. Cats sit on all your work, scratch and bite a lot, and will s c r e a m at you if you displease them. Both have bad things. Both are wonderful and affectionate pets regardless. You can have your personal opinions but stop fighting over which is better.

hmm, my cats must not be working correctly then because they love getting belly rubs from me, one legit will jump into my lap and stare at me until i give belly rubs, maybe my cats are just weird i guess, though most of my cats are female who’ve been fixed and idk if that factors into it or anything, though all of them love to be rubbed on their lower belly, generally right where they got fixed.
@Dark Shadow Storm This makes me think how peculiar my neighbour's cat Molly was. She loved getting belly rubs off me, chin rubs and didn't even mind getting picked up. She was unbelievably affectionate. And she would leave half a ton of white fur on my jeans because she constantly moulted even in cold weather. I still miss her. (But I know she had a good life and died at roughly 16 and my neighbour's cats seem to live long.)
My cat is one of those rare cats that like her belly rubbed. She doesn't let me pick her up though. Probably because my cousins used to pick up my cat all the time and wouldn't stop even if I told them not to. My mom didn't even stop them. I'm pretty sure it hurt my cat alot.

Great vid, can confirm =D The thing about stroking the belly and then getting bitten is easily explained: Most cats (very few exceptions) get overstimulated fast if you touch there and the excitement kicks in their hunting play instincts. They seemingly ask for it when they stretch on their backs, always have to resist the urge too =D Mine just let me pet him there when he was almost asleep already, and even then only veeeery gentle and just strokes in fur growth direction. Miss my old man...

I Liked your comment because it's reeeally accurate XD And made me think of some cats I had in the past. On the other hand, I adopted two cats recently and when the bowl of food is empty they don't make a sound, they just run like cheetas to the bowl everytime I move slightly in it's direction XD

I feel like cats are smart enough to know about the chaos they cause, but they don’t care because they like the attention.
They're aware. My cat Chesty will tap a cup to get our attention and _then_ proceed to knock it over.
My cats also know to _not_ chase the red dot if it's on a human being. (that is unless you're under a blanket)
My cats don't freak out when their tail is being grasped. We would lightly grasp their tail, shake it a bit, and then kiss the tip. This socialized them to just be like "yeah okay, whatever" when their tail is being touched.
They are, infact, know what they're doing.

Is your cat on a schedule ? Most food problems are sorted with feeding schedules c: so i feed my cat 4 small meals per day and he doesn't nibble my toes to wake me up now lol
My sis has the cat to sleep with her and when I am in my room I can hear her meowing for food at 4 am in the morning 🤧
