The thing is, whenever I just try to go about my day and be serious and alone, people think I'm funny somehow. I don't know how, but they say it's how I act. I'm terrible at reading any emotions that aren't blatantly obvious. Whenever I give my opinion on things, it makes people laugh either because its ridiculous or true. Everything is always the opposite of what I want. Whenever I want to be alone, I have a bunch of people that want things from me.
Whenever I want to socialize and be a normal person, I have no one to talk to.
I pretty much gave up on trying to be comical because it backfires almost every time.

yes being ambivert, is like having a timer, which tells you when you need social interaction or when you need to be alone... just the screen is broken so you can't tell when its gonna switch, you only recognize it by the beep of depression/drained energy that suddenly goes of.
As an extreme introvert, the one thing that I do the most is cradle in a small corner and a dark room. I am not joking it’s quite comfortable.

I am an introvert and it really helped me to get comfort by forcing myself to socialise.
Basically I decided to work in a store, at the electronics section.
One of the worst sections where people ask a ton of questions because they don't know anything about electronics.
I thought it'd be hell to do so, however it feels really nice to help people.
It really made me more comfortable to talk to people.
And guess what?
I finally dare to contact my bank via phone!
If you have had the struggles of being an introvert, you know how much of a pain it is to call your bank or calling in general.
Working in a store really helped me a ton.

It's not like this is the one thing that happens to this guy that makes them nervous or anxious. It might be one of the multiple things that make them an introvert if you get what i mean :P
i think you guys are making a mistake here. being introverted isnt being shy or alone, its when you get more energy from being alone. so for example i usually get a lot of energy and feel awake when im talking to people, so id be an extrovert. it doesnt mean i dont have social anxiety or anythinng like that

Usually I pretend that I just moved to the city or I am very clumsy at explaining directions (expecting the person to just look for someone else) to avoid "having to know where things are" or giving directions.

4:43 THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME AT SCHOOL! I’m an introvert and whenever I’m alone I feel happy but then a teacher walks by and says “hey, are you sad and lonely?” And I’m like “no! I’m not. I’m just happy being alone” and they say “why don’t you just socialize with others? Not only the teachers say it but my parents ｄｏ ｔｈｅ ｓａｍｅ

I can relate. I was like this in primary school. But now im pretty extro in "safe waters". Although I still enjoy being alone and I dont really go to partys.

I can relate.
1) Group work is really difficult for me. Specially because I'm forced to socialize.
2) Most of the time I get a lazy group who does NONE of their part.
3) Making alone is 100% way better.
I think I am an introvert, but when I need to do stuff I feel like I can deal easier with it than I used to.
I don't have many friends but if I need to talk to someone I just do it.
Maybe I am an ambivert?

Oh gosh, I HATE group projects not only because I'm an introvert but also every time I have a project like that I always have to be with that one person I'm kinda afraid of, unless we can choose our team members but sometimes it still doesn't work.

I miss my toilet paper. Germany has no toilet paper anymore. The only way to get toilet paper is to buy it for 30€ a roll on ebay. :(

@@joshuaknaus8824 oh yes, people fight in a supermarket and grab the toilet paper out of other peoples hands and are upset if the cashier says that they can only by 4 packeges of toilet paper. It's very sad to be a human sometimes..
