The thing is, whenever I just try to go about my day and be serious and alone, people think I'm funny somehow. I don't know how, but they say it's how I act. I'm terrible at reading any emotions that aren't blatantly obvious. Whenever I give my opinion on things, it makes people laugh either because its ridiculous or true. Everything is always the opposite of what I want. Whenever I want to be alone, I have a bunch of people that want things from me. Whenever I want to socialize and be a normal person, I have no one to talk to. I pretty much gave up on trying to be comical because it backfires almost every time.

I am an introvert and it really helped me to get comfort by forcing myself to socialise. Basically I decided to work in a store, at the electronics section. One of the worst sections where people ask a ton of questions because they don't know anything about electronics. I thought it'd be hell to do so, however it feels really nice to help people. It really made me more comfortable to talk to people. And guess what? I finally dare to contact my bank via phone! If you have had the struggles of being an introvert, you know how much of a pain it is to call your bank or calling in general. Working in a store really helped me a ton.

i think you guys are making a mistake here. being introverted isnt being shy or alone, its when you get more energy from being alone. so for example i usually get a lot of energy and feel awake when im talking to people, so id be an extrovert. it doesnt mean i dont have social anxiety or anythinng like that

When I get my moment they're good moment but they heavily rely on other peoples moments. The thing is there are times when you get on a topic you like and you just keep going with a weird but okay convo. I like those times because my comments aren't just relying on others and I feel like I'm actually there.
That is the most annoying thing, just because I'm not forcing meaningless conversations and faking facial expressions doesn't mean there's something wrong with me, I just be chilling lol. Only thing I didn't feel on a deep, DEEP level here was that very first bit. I very rarely consider the fact that I'm alone. That's just the standard baseline. The thing is that there's a whole bunch of types of introverts. In my case, I can spend the whole day in my room, doing homework, playing games, playing the guitar, you name it. But if a friend invites me to an activity, even more so with people I like, I'm all for it. A couple years ago, I didn't think it was possible for me to handle a crowded concert, and a few months later, I went to a music festival of 5 days with four friends and we had a blast! Still... Can't tell you how much I relate to this video it's insane

i think you guys are making a mistake here. being introverted isnt being shy or alone, its when you get more energy from being alone. so for example i usually get a lot of energy and feel awake when im talking to people, so id be an extrovert. it doesnt mean i dont have social anxiety or anythinng like that

1) Group work is really difficult for me. Specially because I'm forced to socialize.
2) Most of the time I get a lazy group who does NONE of their part.
3) Making alone is 100% way better.

2:15 I feel this. even in a group I'm comfortable with I just kinda faze out. My comments to the conversation rely on someone talking to me first with something I can comment on. When I get my moment they're good moment but they heavily rely on other peoples moments.
The thing is there are times when you get on a topic you like and you just keep going with a weird but okay convo. I like those times because my comments aren't just relying on others and I feel like I'm actually there.

The thing is that there's a whole bunch of types of introverts. In my case, I can spend the whole day in my room, doing homework, playing games, playing the guitar, you name it. But if a friend invites me to an activity, even more so with people I like, I'm all for it. A couple years ago, I didn't think it was possible for me to handle a crowded concert, and a few months later, I went to a music festival of 5 days with four friends and we had a blast!
Still... Can't tell you how much I relate to this video it's insane
