- How to understand your cat? 🐱 How to make friends with your cat? 😍 Everyone knows that cats are the most illogical and unpredictable pets. Just try to work out what’s going through that furry little head!
It turns out that cats have their own language, and if you learn it there’s a chance you’ll understand them much better. We’ve put together all of the possible cat behaviors to help you find a common language with your pet (well, if it allows you to).
Also, we’ve prepared three essential tips that will help you communicate with cats better.
HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CAT
• How to make your cat trust you
Lowering your cat to the ground, make sure its paws have reached the floor. Your cat will trust you and know that it won’t tumble if you let it go.
• How to stroke your cat
If you sit on the floor with your legs crossed and look at your cat, it will interpret this as a friendly gesture and come up to you to let you stroke it.
Also, stretch your hand out in its direction. Your middle finger should be a little lower than the others. The cat will start rubbing its nose or face against your hand.
• How to make your cat appear
A cat may go and hide and only appear when it’s alone or hears a calm voice.

MAIN CAT GESTURES
• If a cat raises its nose up and throws its head, it’s saying, “I see you.” Cats often make this gesture to people walking past the window. Have you ever noticed it?
• A cat might press its ears against its head if it feels scared, worried, or wants to play. They also do this when they are sniffing something that’s interested them.
• When a cat sticks its tongue out slightly and licks itself, it’s worried or anxious.
CAT LANGUAGE
• Cats generally greet people or announce their presence with a short sound.
• Lengthy meowing indicates that your cat is very glad to see you. This occurs if you’re away from home for a long time.
• A medium-length meow might be a request for water or food.
• A long sound (a mix of purring and meowing) is a more insistent request or demand.
• A low meow is a complaint or indication of dissatisfaction. Also, it might mean your cat is ready to fight.
• A loud sound often indicates an urgent demand (for instance, you cat needs more food).
• A purring or vibrating sound indicates a desire for closer contact or attention. Cats purr for various reasons, but most often they do it when they are happy.

Every night is like a ritual with my cat little bit I lay on my back when I get in the bed he then climbed on the bed gets on my chest and start needing his feet and he'll walk back and forth back and forth on my chest and stomach until he's ready to go to bed when he's ready to go to sleep well then get on my pillow walk beside my face collapse himself his legs around my neck and his face on mine and if I talk he gets mad at me and puts his hands on my mouth so I'll stop talking and you'll go to sleep like that is a beautiful thing it is so sweet he goes to sleep every night snuggled to my hair and head and if I talk he puts his hand on my mouth say that I'll quit talking because it bothers him somehow so precious

When I first got my cat I had to go out of town for 3 weeks. I’d only had him for a month or so when I left but when I got home and he saw me for the first time in weeks he gave me the longest meow I’d ever heard. It’s so nice to know he was glad to see me❤

My cat is 1 years old so she's still pretty playful so there isnt a lot of emotional problems. Petting, playing, and verbal affection helps ease them and makes them feel loved. I feel like talking to her helped my relationship with my cat a lot.

How I got my cat to warm up to me was mimicking cat sounds. I’d search up mother feline calls, and learn to mimic it. It worked like a charm!

Tip: Don’t force the cat to like you. Don’t force the cat in hugs, being carry or clingy. They approach you! there ways like cat food, cat toys, warm bed and a clean room. Lastly give them space when they want to be alone. They love attention but only when they want it and trust me they love attention

best way to make friends with a cat make sure she has food and water, a clean littler box, plenty of cozy places to sleep, lots of cat scratchers and leave them alone unless they ask for attention.
Good tip for becoming companions with a kitty: talk in a higher pitched voice than normal while making them feel special

Just use a laser or other toys but if your pet is not intrested to toys, just pet them or just grab it, carry it like a baby (works on adult too) and make it sleep

I remember when I was 10 when my cat had a big lump on his stomach idk what it was but he looked like he was in pain, he wouldn’t stop following us, like he just wanted to lie next to us. It was like he was telling us he was in great pain but unfortunately we were a very poor family so we couldn’t afford to send him to a vet. All we did was pray for him to get better. I remember not going to school for almost 2 weeks because I wanted to nurse him until he is well, i will never forget the times he would look me in my eyes as if he was trying to tell me something. That really hit me and I cried. Unfortunately he did not get better and passed away, I was depressed for weeks. I remember some people telling me that it’s just a cat. NO! They maybe animals but they have emotions and they also feel pain. Whenever I meet people who shows no compassion to animals, I cut them off straight away like nuh uh son. Now I am 22 and I have two cats, one female ginger and a male grey hair. For me, a house is not a home without pets. 💕

My cat was incredibly shy. I chose her over a ton of playful, happy cats because I could see that she would become a great friend. She did become a great friend. She hid in my dollhouse the first two days, but after I gave her a handful of food and some water to eat/drink in the dollhouse, she started feeling better. It was a week before she started coming near me so I could pet her, and then in six months she was pretty much all better and so outgoing. All she needed was love and affection. ^^

to let your cat love you first call their name in a small voice also curve your finger and dont move it if they sniff it a walk away that means they dont want attention or dont like your sense, if they rub your finger on their cheek scratch lightly in their for head, behind the ear or on the cheek but fo the head use three fingers for the ear use 2 and for the cheek use one. also dont force them to sit with you it will scare them

I've found with the many cat's I've raised over the years that if you have a timid cat, try imitating their "chirping" sound, kinda like a mix between a meow and a purr. This is a sound cats make if they want to be friendly. I've learned to imitate lots of cat sounds, and it's really helped me communicate with my cats better.
@E_girl That's also a reason they would chirp, but generally, unless they are outside and hunting, they are usually being friendly and playful.
Yes, and with the four that I've looked after now, you can positively initiate communication with them by imitating using the same tone they use when asking you for something. Each cat has their own voice if you haven't heard them yet just keep talking to him / her.

If you want a cat to trust you when you pick up him/ her. Whenever you pick them up the (MOMENT) they move like they want down in any way put them down. Keep doing this and eventually you'll be able to hold them longer because they know you'll put them down when they want down.

A tip is to give your cat a lot of attention but also a lot of space and if its a kitten make sure they get to a lot play to become a healthy grown up cat
