Rat Salad I have a Bill's, but I prefer the Front Runner because it makes Scout look like a complete douche. Brought to you by a Scout/Medic/Soldier main, a complete abomination.
I just watched this video an realised: the same tips can be applied to eyelander demoknight, both pure and hybrid Demoknight is basically a demo who is played like a scout, just with less range and more health. Double jump is replaced with charge, scattergun with trusty sword (Eyelander's feature is scout's speed and even more extra health, if you can kill someone and survive), and if you need more ranged combat you can equip non-boots primary weapon - same as with scout's pistol, as grenades allow to chip down enemy health and even get some kills for hybrid. Perhaps demoknight is somewhat more alighed to teamplay, as with med he can actually tank many enemy attacks, while scout's evasion is better suited for lone wolf style raiding
Scout and Demoknight are fast, utility type, close range pick classes (I consider demoknight it’s own class) that specialize in focusing down and picking off alone or injured enemies Yeh, seems about right
@@boomeronet7888 there are two levels of chipping actually 1) direct hits, 1 hit on most classes leaves just enough to clear with normal sword swing (or with minicrit after short charge in case of pyro and demo) 2) on-ground explosion that, after foe wasn't hit directly, still hurts. It may be ignored if hit once (and so enemies dont always dodge it), but after few more such small damage instances you may bring enemy into sword death range in both cases, grenades are easily used as way of reducing enemy range without actually killing him - aka "chipping"
As a scout main I felt powerless when playing him cause I couldn't kill anyone ( and only getting assists) but this video helped me improve, and I now really enjoy playing my main again

Im personally a scout main and i wanna give out a tip to other scouts. If your gonna use a secondary damage output for your secondary slot, use The Pretty Boy’s Pocket Pistol. Its faster fire rate gives it a waaaaay higher dps than stock pistol. And even tho it has only 9 bullets in the clip, its 15% bonus to reload speed negate that. And people say that the health gain thing is useless but to me it isnt. In a fight where your losing and your about to retreat, as your retreating, use the pocket pistol to give out high dps as your run away, and so that you dont die, you get health as you run.
I'm glad I understand the mind of a scout, whenever I see one run, I take in the flank routes and think, "Is he low enough to run for a health pack? Could I fight him? How many flank routes are there?" It goes surprisingly well.
Thank you so much for the video. I noted some tips down I tend to forget and pinned them next to my monitor. This way I can have a quick glympse at them and not get distraced from the game too much!

Additional tips on fighting other classes :
1 - Scout
50/50 depending on skill, positioning and how much health you both have. The better player will always win.
2 - Soldier
This is one of the tricky ones since soldier doesn't have to aim at you because he has splash damage you need to always use your double jumps and figure out their pattern at rocket jumping.
3 - Pyro
Pyros can really hurt if theyre close to you so hold that s key and keep shooting.
4 - Demoman
Demo is one of the easier classes to pick, his pipes are just almost useless if you can move good and stickies have a startup unlike soldiers rockets.
5 - Heavy
Your best call on heavies are when theyre not revved up or just when they have half or lower hp, strafe around them and jump over them change up the pattern you do these things and you can get a kill on a lone heavy
6 - Engineer
Engineer is the soft counter to scout, he has the minis the sentry nest and if his team has game sense they will protect his nest and sentries have perfect tracking so you cant rely on your movement, just avoid engineers entirely unless theyre not near one or havent built one, battle engies with good aim can be troublesome so treat them like scouts.
7 - Sniper
Fighting snipers heavily depend on the situation and skill, if youre far-medium-far distance your basically toast if they have aiming in medium-close range yeah 95% of the time you will secure that kill.
8 - Medic
One of the easiest and hardest classes to pick, most medics are behind their team so you cant just go in and get him you have to play flank and get the kill if they have communication your basically toast if you have low hp.
9 - Spy
Easiest class that scout can encounter and fight against but hes not even going to be within his sightline and near him.
Great video man! I suck as scout so I hope keeping these tips in mind will help me get better!
