I'm hoping that your video on this helps women suffering with this at least have the chance they deserve at health, and having a family! 💖

    Went to a naturopath today and she said she thought I might likely have PCOS. Will need to do further testing. But just reading up about it all and watching these videos makes me think I do - I have all the symptoms! Weight gain especially my tummy, inability to lose weight even though I’m eating healthier than I ever have before, facial hair, thin hair on my head that just won’t grow, just bloody all of it. I think I’ve had it for years but that with the combination of being on antidepressants for the last year has brought it more to the surface. It’s so nice to have something to work towards though. I feel relieved that it’s not just me and not normal, and that I can work on it, make it better or even reverse it. Your videos are bloody amazing Dr Berg, thank you for all your help with vitamins & mineral knowledge, liver issues, ACV, and hormones. Plus all the rest - you really are a wealth of knowledge, thank you!

    Thanks for making this link with roundup Dr. Berg. In addition to GMO avoidance, you must avoid all conventionally grown wheat, sugar and potatoes. These crops are sprayed with glyphosate right before harvest to "dessicate" the plant. Though not GMO, in fact it won't work on GMO strains, the entire plant is infused with roundup then delivered to your plate packing a huge load of the herbicide which cannot be washed off. For more, see Dr. Stefanie Senef's work at MIT on this.

    • @bry8tiyze
      @bry8tiyze 9 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      this is probably why PCOS and adrenal fatigue people have success with diets that avoid grains, starches and sugar. Why didn't the diets of people consuming high amounts of these foods in the 50s cause such spikes in PCOS, diabetes etc.? Sure it was not a healthy diet but these crops weren't so laced with roundup as they've become in the past 20 years.

    I live in Australia and I had polycystic ovaries from the ages of 21 to 30 (I’m now 53). 1.5 years prior to the diagnosis, I experienced excruciatingly painful and ridiculously heavy 9 day periods. I had countless numbers of ultrasounds and blood work (all different locations) and saw countless numbers of doctors. One outright told me I was imagining the pain and another told me I had an STD. I told her it was impossible as I was still a virgin and she literally laughed out loud and decided I was constipated and needed fiber. After an emergency hospital visit and another ultrasound, I was finally told I had a cyst the size of an orange on my left ovary. It took 2 days following the surgery for the surgeon to see me in the ward to tell me she’d removed my ovary as well. A few years later I married and couldn’t conceive, went on IVF after being told I had adhesions/scaring but gave up after two years when I felt they weren’t being honest. and I felt deceived with the info they were providing. I found a naturopath who mixed up tonics to clear it up. It worked! I was finally free of 3 x per years laparoscopic procedures to clear the scaring in my tubes. I fell pregnant numerous times but miscarried so my gynecologist suggested I have genetic counseling (genetic bloodwork/tests). The professor told me I was very fertile and had no fertility issues and that my husband’s sperm were either headless or tailless and that I was lucky my body rejected each pregnancies (stopped counting after eight) because it detected an abnormality each time. If they’d survived each one would’ve been down syndrome. My instincts about the IVF specialist/hospital did not fail me. This was my naturopath’s explanation...I had a spot on my pituitary gland (responsible for distributing hormones) which was preventing equal distribution which resulted in the cysts as well as the scaring. I’d love to know Dr Berg’s thoughts on this reason please.

    I was diagnosed probably 11 years ago. I got no symptoms ( no pain during cycle and irregular cycle). The ob only told me dont eat too much meat and legumes stuffs. I forgot about it. Life became hard and i stressed so much, and I tend to get hungrgy(also suspecting i have ulcers) when stressed. Gained lots of weight. The past 2 years, i started to have pain during my period to where I'd almost colapsed. Then i remember i have PCOS. Never saw a doc. Christmas eve 2017, i was rushed to the er for stomach pain. Ct scan showed i have large ovarian cyst. It wasnt actually the area that i was in pain but im glad they found out. One good day i was mowing the lawn which i usually do, my left where the ovary was started to ache. I then went to a doctor. Lotta pain meds was given and then they automatically send me another month worth of pain meds. I cried a lot(not a fan of taking pain meds or any meds. I started to feel it when i move even a step to the toilet is an agony. Till i just lay in bed 24/7. Due to my insurance, i had to had surgery almost 4 months later. Just had it last wedsneday and i never felt better since it was gone.

    I sometimes don't like Dr. Bergman but this time he makes sense. I told my daughter that her half-sister and friend suffer from polycistic ovarian syndrome because both of them are heavy, have pimples and loose their hair. She started to point out that we all have cysts and I'm always wrong about diagnosis. Now Dr. Berg pointed out that the disease should by called folicular instead of cystic. I mentioned that GMO could trigger the disease. And bang, this is exactly what Dr. Berg is saying.

      Now that you know, just change your diet n your health should be back to normal. Eat high omega 3 foods, organic foods and lots of cooked greens. And organic pasture raised eggs helps tremendously!

    Yes, this is great explanation, just we all can quit sugar, gmo food and again not cure pcos. Because the cause is hereditary and it is related with many other hormones related with the pituitary. I'm not sure how will you explain how some people eat sugar, GMO and don't have PCOS?!

    Thank you so much for this video. I am over 35 and getting concerned with irregular periods, facial hair growth, weight gain, and more. I had a blood test done today to make sure I am releasing eggs during my cycle. A few months ago I had an ultrasound that showed the follicles and a small fibroid. My GP did some blood test but I wasn't told I had PCOS and that my blood sugar levels were normal, even though hypoglymeica is something I have battled my entire life. After watching your video, this all makes so much sense. It is refreshing to see it in simple terms from a real medical perspective and not told be told that there is "nothing wrong". I found your video to be informative and very eye opening in a way to take my own health back. Thank you so much.

    I have pcos and my doctor at a fertility clinic told me I shouldn't keep any diets and with clomid it should be fine. 1 year later, no baby and 15kg gained weight I can vouch for the truth in this video. So much additional stress caused by the hormone stimulation from clomid and ovidrell if you already have pcos, had I researched it earlier I would have saved myself a lot of pain.

      @S M. you badically need to insist to your doctor that something isnt right and you suspect you have it. Ask Dr to go in for testing. There will be an Ultrasound and Internal if you choose. You have to advocate for yourself or the Dr's wont do anything. If you suspect you have it you probably do, Its actually very common

    This is a great video. I would like to add that from my research I fully believe PCOS can also be hereditary. The reason I believe this is because I am in my mid 40s and have had my period since I was 12 years old. From the time I was 12 years old, until I was 18 years old I think I had my period about 8-10 times. Sometimes I would only get it once a year. My sister and I have the same parents and she got her period when she was 11 and had it like clockwork every 28 days. I had to use IVF to have my twins, my sister had 6 kids before she had her tubes tied. Our Father has Aunts that were similar to my sister and I. One never was able to conceive and we are "built" the same. Large midsection, typical facial hair etc. And the other sister had several children. I was first told mine was Stein-Leventhal syndrome. I didn't hear PCOS until my Fertility dr educated me. Again, I think this video is great, but there is no cure for PCOS, even if you were to eat a perfect, chemical free diet. I thank you for being so informative.
