I made this last night for my Bible Study group. It's not peach season yet, so I ended up using canned peaches. I used 8 cans, 4 in heavy syrup and 4 in fruit juice. I made sure I drained the peaches well and followed the recipe, with only a dash of nutmeg added to the peaches. Other than that, it was perfect for a 9x13 pan. Everyone loved it and I made sure to let them know I got this great recipe from you! Thank you for the best peach crisp recipe I have ever made; it was delicious!!
I am waiting for my peaches to ripen before I make this recipe. Two questions. 1) how much should the peaches be ripened to? 2) I dont have a kitchen scale. The three pounds for the peaches were 3lbs precut? I just saw your video for peach dump cake and dont know which I should try first! I think this crisp. I am going to use almond extract I think instead of vanilla. Also, I am going to peel w/o blanching, too. I dont like the thought of the peaches in boiling water even for 30 seconds.
This looks so incredible! I'm gonna be honest though and say I likely will not go to the creamin effort here. Can you call me next time you make one? Cheers.
FYI...if you double this to put it into a 9x13 pan, do NOT double the lemon juice! LoL! We were in a hurry and just tossing the ingredients in without thinking. Yeah, ½ c is a tad too much....😂

I want to make this for a small group, but peaches are not in season yet. Can I use frozen peaches, and if so, should I change the recipe?

Worth a try!
Yum!
How many peaches is 3 lbs?????
I do not care for crisps at all but this look so delicious.
Yummmy
Why am I leaving my house at 10 o clock at night to make this 😭🍑
2:52 Hmm... that looks really watery.
You can't call it "crisp" if the top is soggy
It’s a good thing the top isn’t soggy then.
Too soggy
Why does people use lemon juice in everything ?
It tends to be a flavor enhancer. In this case, it brightens up the flavor and keeps your apples from turning brown before they are cooked.
@@Thestayathomechef Peaches* not apples
The driest peach crumb/ cobbler I've ever seen!
I didn’t realize you were there to taste it!
I thought it looked a little soupy. What are you thinking.
@@bonphone4222 Yeah... that's what I noticed too. We can see how soupy it is on the video. Not a very gracious reply from this "chef".
