After years of editing with out pay, and trying to find work. I ended up with a corporate contract. It is a little boring but I love the creative director I work with and it pays $50 an hour! I’ve worked hundreds of hours for them since November and received other jobs because of them. If this is what you want to do for a living keep at it!
This was an awesome video! Not only did I learn about the different types of profitable video editing styles, but you made it very engaging with the visuals and kept it short and sweet- you didnt drag it on. I see myself as more of a narrative or music video editor. I’ll have to dive more into those niches :)

That's the climax of the movie for me.. a musical montage . If you think about it, so many pop hits are musicals; 8 mile, goodfellas, trainspotting etc etc
Presently am in social media space. I want to go into commercial video editing, and I don't know the skill or knowledge to acquire. To be good in the art😂 Love your narrative. Thanks

Eventually couldn't keep up with my job because of my condition. Now am ready to take my life where i left it...but wanted something more creative as a job. Thus trying to learn about editing. I have so much questions, so much to learn 😅 but still, if anyone reading this comment, do you know if there are companies out there hiring people like me please... Someone who's still learning but need practise ?

No you do not! Graphic design and motion graphics can always help make you a more diverse artist, but video editing is its own field. You can learn that first if you truly want to be a video editor!
Hey! i am an editor for a while now and I am thinking to do paid edits now but I'm not sure which niche or types of videos I should edit.. like I looked over the live section of youtube and attempted to contact some TH-camrs. most were gaming and I don't feel like doing that so since it requires a lot of timework and hustle and its like.. clipping all are lengthy(since I have to manage my collage also)(I hope you get me). if you could help me, that'll be great of you.. thanks! ❤
If you’re still interested in TH-cam. There are a MILLION little sub niches on here that still require editing that are not gaming related. Maybe start with the kind of content you like and try to expand from there, keeping an eye out for if your favorite channels say they’re looking for an editor!
It's funny how TH-cam groups all of the wacky freelancers who also are alone, work at home, and vegans in one group and serves them to the viewer one right after the other 😂. You are the normal one out of the group of course.
