    Nate is just the best hoof guy on youtube, he is not playing some sad music or taking you along for what he had for breakfast, not naming others but nate loves the animals with no ego. He takes care of the girls and never needs to show his face unless you guys demand it. Most of the other Hoof guys are like blogging about their personal life and that seem strange to me. Just show me the puss and and not your new haircut, sincerely the fans of hoof trimmers.

      TH-cam out of the blue started giving me hoof videos from a few creators, Nate being one of them.
      I instantly vibed with Nate, i guess im just a sucker for the straight to the point show it how it is presentation.
      Also the actual knowledge and the procedures being explained, much respect for Nate.

    I really like the addition of the side angle. I know you take off thin shavings, but it adds up, and the side view demonstrates that nicely.

    • @meganbarber3599
      @meganbarber3599 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I didn't like the side view. I'm used to the regular straight on hoof angle. To me the side view is only good at the very end when you see how much he's carved out.

    • @Caboose30
      @Caboose30 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I agree with the first guy. The side view is very good at showing just how much work and hoof you've had to go through to really get started.

    • @amityislandchum
      @amityislandchum 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't like starting with the side view. It's really helpful to see the straight-on view where Nate points out the dark areas or other evidence of problems. The side view was just disorienting.

    I like that you take the time to explain that the girls will have the occasional hoof problem no matter how ideal their environment. One wrong step or awkward footfall can send us sprawling 🤕 and these girls may not even feel that initial injury until something goes wrong in the hoof.

    It feels like you're really getting in the groove here Nate: start with an opening panoramic shot of land, or tight up of a cute baby animal, then the greeting, then the hoof work, then the follow-up included in the same video so we get that sweet dopamine rush twice, and then the scenic shot, and the outro talk. It's like a meditation. Huge fan! :-)

      @@skullkid692 Normally they are owned by university's or government funded projects where they have a working farm setup (a lot of times inside city limits) the purpose is for science and technology research solely for looking at ways to improve agricultural methods used in farming. They get the name because it is a working farm where they literally conduct experiments on the farm the livestock and the produce.

    Nate, I often wonder how much difference it makes to your trimming process when you are trying to give the camera (& thereby each of us) a good viewing angle. This video is very rare in that for a few moments your glove had to be between the camera and the hoof.
    So thank you for giving us such a great view almost all the time, and I hope it doesn’t impede your trimming?

    Wonderful video as always. I love watching you work, knowing that you are helping these beautiful animals whose lives help us so much. Big props too to the managers and owners who bring you in to keep cows comfortable and well. We ask everything of cattle, and it’s right to be kind and generous in their care. I love the way you could just send the eager cow back with that Look. She was all like, "Oops… excuse me… lemme go back." Heh. That dog is the best advertisement for your character. He thinks you’re swell, so you must be. Thanks again for the time you spend putting these together and narrating. Really fun to watch.

    I stopped to talk to a neighbor one day. As she leaned against my car door and we chatted the other neighbor's dog (a Jake type), started growling and biting at the front left tire. Orlena and I laughed. A few seconds later there was a huge pop and a very loud hissssssss. Bear (the dog) stood back and proudly observed his handy work, then turned and went home when the tire was flat. I always walked over to Orlena's house after that. Or drive by too fast for Bear to catch.

    Thank you for that insight knowledge about the cows on concrete/pasture. I don’t have any of these animals yet, but will in about six months.

    I said it before and I just wanna say it again, I watch a lot of other similar TH-cam videos and they are typically more "produced" aka, they are like some kind of TV station, but EVEN THEY always ALWAYS nic the poor cows. They try to go faster and getting it done quickly over any kind if comfort for the cows. They will say they didn't nic the cow as every cow they touch bleeds a TON! I never ever see the cows you work on bleed unless you do happen to nic them but you admit you do and it's never that bad either!!!!! So Nate know you are amazing and do this the BEST out of anyone I see trimming cow's feet! Thank you Nate!!
