One of my friends from the UK shared this video today. First time ever hearing her. She sounds like a mix of Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones. Anyother voice I could listen to all day long.
Gabriella was only 16 when she did this, what a talent. It was used in a TV ad in the UK, with people walking on the ceiling, as everything was upside down.

Eye think..then blink...Will try..sweet cry..tears growing up..❤
Heard this song about 1000 times on the radio and have no clue she was THAT gorgeous.
I past literally 10 years looking for this song. I used to hear when I was a child in a AMV here in TH-cam. But the channel got deleted, so I never learned the name of the song. I'm so happy right now! I used to watch that AMV everyday, so I learned all the melody. But my first language isn't english, so as a child I didn't understand the lyrics, and couldn't search by this in later years.
Thank you Gabriella Cilmi, your song is a mark in my childhood!! I will hear it so many times from now on!!!
I can relate
As a young boy, I felt she was for me the most beautiful woman in the world
As a man, I'm sure now, she is just amazing
She was only 15 here, she's 27 now. It caused quite a stir at the time.
Such a great tune and a stunning woman as well. Just really can’t and couldn’t believe she was only 16 when she did this.
16 ? Ooh dear lord 🙈
Greatest C.D...some of the best music and sound in such an educated lyrics...bought this when i first heard the song on WXPN...greatness!!!
GO AUSTRALIA!! Underrated song. Beautiful melody and good song to teach guitar. From New Zealand

You, watching me
Hanging by a string this time
Don't, easily
The climax of the perfect life
And you, watching me
Hanging by a string this time
Don't, easily
My smile's worth a hundred lies
And if there's lessons to be learned
I'd rather get my jamming words in first, so
I'll tell you something that I've found
That the world's a better place
When it's upside down, boy
And if there's lessons to be learned
I'd rather get my jamming words in first, so
Oh when you're playing with desire
Don't come running to my place
When it burns like fire, boy
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Blue, blue, blue waves, they crash
As time goes by so hard to catch
Too, too smooth, ain't all that
Why don't you ride on my side of the tracks
And if there's lessons to be learned
I'd rather get my jamming words in first, so
I'll tell you something that I've found
That the world's a better place
When it's upside down, boy
And if there's lessons to be learned
I'd rather get my jamming words in first, though
When you're playing with desire
Don't come running to my place
When it burns like fire, boy
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah
Sweet about me
Ooh, nothing sweet about me, yeah

True 👌 😍 👌 😁
@злодейский Ломбардо hahahaaa😁
I like this thing of mixing Old Soul,Reggae and Jazz...I don't really know how this is called or labeled, but it's something done especially by women (Duffy ,Lilly Allen, Amy Winehouse, Natasha Bedingfield, Adele...) and some men (Michael Bubblée and sometimes Robbie Williams).
It's just soul. :)
Marina Hetfield
Not really, it's got some reggae beat on and it sounnds pretty jazzy too...it's modern soul I guess, different from the Old kind.
wowcat.jpg :O Daaamnn This girl is baddddd assss.
Totally agree! Even like Estelle, Alicia Keys, Amy MacDonald and Corinne Bailey Rae are also incredible, too.
Also, Amy and Lily are my TWO QUEENS !!! 😍

Was in woolies last night and heard this song which took me way back.. Had to Google who the artist was and couldn't believe she was from Melbs where I live. Such a unique and exotically beautiful talant. You deserve to be far more successful Gabriella.

A FAVORITA internacional (2008) 💿📀👩🏼👩🏻🎵🎶
It was over ten years ago. I was at Kohl’s looking at their overpriced mediocre shoe collection. This song came on over the intercom. I froze and listened because I knew I had to remember enough of it to find it again.
This song was the best thing I ever left Kohl’s with.
This drummer has the feel!
She was 15 when she recorded this!!
WTF!!!!! only 15!!!!! omg that blows u mind! she looks at least 25
She was 17 in 2008!! -.- born 1991!
DamoOoX5 The song was recorded in the first half of 2007, when she was 15. Check your facts.
EvilTim1911 : If you're right, she is a genius !
