Man I love the new quiz-types questions at the end of the video, they really test your memory, the videos/notes and illustrations are super great as well, thanks Ninja Nerds
The thing that I absolutely love most about your phenomenal teaching is THE REPITITION, it does incomparable WONDERS for students MEMORY and so many teachers just pass through a term once and stroll on,, making it easy to forget
The fact that these got uploaded just in time for my pharm course is excellent. Im not religious, but I know Jesus loves you. I met him shortly after watching this.
I've unfortunately pursued a career path completely different from Medicine and now, at 43 yo, I feel an insane frustration, every single day, because I'm not happy at all with my job. I love so much Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology that every time I get into this topic people around me always say that my eyes start sparkling. In my spare time I'm studying on my own since that's the only way I can find a tiny bit of happiness. Your videos are such a refreshening, delightful caresses for my mind that I'm devouring them one by one. Thanks for this great work!
I have my pharm midterm exam in four hours and was confused on the topic. My notes and lecture slides didn’t help. Your video really helped break it down and make me understand the topic more. Will start watching your vids from now on!
Mr professor taught this today and had me completely lost and I didn't think I would ever understand this. But the way you break it down makes sooooooooo much sense so thank you.
I never got general pharmacology right until I watched your videos. My 2nd year final exams are going on and your videos are saving me and helping me to write something in exams! Thank youu Ninja Nerd Team and special thanks to you Dr. Zach.
Omg THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am studying to be a therapist & am struggling with my psychopharmacology class. You have helped me understand way way better than the book could. Thank you so much for breaking this down so it’s understandable to people who have 0 foundational knowledge like me!
You are just a life saver for medical student, who find these concepts complex to understand. You are just amazing to memorize this huge sum of knowledge and delivering it with such smooth flow. May God bless you❤
Zachary your amazing I have turned my uni colleagues onto your channel and they are all so grateful , I have even been given all clear to use your website in my references xx ❤
Hello! This class helped me a lot, I'm Brazilian and I was having a lot of difficulty understanding this subject, but with your incredible didactics it's impossible not to learn. Thank you very much!
I was actually terrorised in med school when my teacher taught us this..couldn’t understand a bit and when asked about 1st pass metabolism in my test it moved me to tears to write what I had in my mind.. Thank you so much for this..🙏
This makes sense as to why I have so many side effects with medications. Must be a very slow metabolizer. Had horrible side effects on 3 different DOACs. Hematologist had no idea why.
Thank you so much 💓 💗 I have an exam in pharma next week ..... i can't answer the cases questions but you help me...... thank you again ❤ Great explanation 👌
@ninjanerd First off I wanted to say that I love your videos. They've been keeping me afloat through med school. I usually don't comment at all but at 11:50 in the video you talk about codeine in slow metabolizers and in those cases I think it would actually be more beneficial for the children with low metabolism because codeine is a prodrug with the active metabolite causing respiratory depression. So it would actually be ultrametabolizers who are at risk for respiratory depression since they're turnover rate into the active metabolite is increased.
apparently some people think doctors shouldn't google stuff. i'm so glad my doctor does haha. ain't no human remembering every drug interaction. great bg asmr for drawing once again b.t.w. mr ninjaman.
Allways a fan of these pharmacology videos! Such great content. I'd love to see one on pharmacogenetics and some in depth content on polymorphism of drug metabolizing enzymes.
Thanks once again, you make learning so exciting and this isn't even necessary for my studies, just out of curiosity I wanted to know about this. I also love the Q&A at the end. ✌🏽🇹🇹
Thank you for great explanation and visually appealing board content! In phase II biotransformation, there are additional two substrate which are Glycine and Ribonucleoside/nucleotide synthesis. Can someone clarify this? 😕. Thank you
Good explanation 👍 Just to notice, for CYP 450 inducers you mentioned the exls of CYP inhibitors and for cyp450 inhibitors the exls of CYP inducers are mentioned in haste. It is overlooked!
I have a question regarding 18:48 - when turning a pro-drug into an active drug the effect is vice-versa. So an inhibitor such as Omeprazole would become an inducer, no? But then at 24:24 in case of a pro-drug activating we still have Omeprazole being an inhibitor. Not getting my hopes up that someone will see this comment and help out :)
Hi Bro, I am very thankful for your superunderstandable explanations and I may seem abrupt, but can you make a video about all fossa( infratemporal, temporal, pterygopalatine and so on). Please!
Man I love the new quiz-types questions at the end of the video, they really test your memory, the videos/notes and illustrations are super great as well, thanks Ninja Nerds

Please keep adding more quiz questions they really help solidify the lecture also thank you @@NinjaNerdOfficial

Thanks alot Professor Zac Murphy😊
Dr zach, what's your specialty? Cause you make videos about everything medical and it's mind blowing!
Truth is, all this is regarded as basic knowledge in the medical sciences! Specialists go even further but in a narrower scope.
Thanks.
